The Olive House is set on the edge of a ruined village right on the fringes of a beautiful Cyprus Forest interspersed with ancient Olives. The house, originally the village Olive Press, was restored about 6 years ago as a holiday home and is now being offered to those who want to escape the pace of normal life. The property allows easy access to the Erissos footpath network being sited close to one of the paths.
The house is located in the tiny hamlet of Psilithrias, a short 5 minute walk from the village of Antipata, which has a taverna, a small supermarket and a cafe.
The village of Magganos is a 10 minute drive and has two small supermarkets with fresh bread daily and a good selection of fruit and veg and other daily staples in the two supermarkets.
In the famous port of Fiskardo (10 minute drive) you will find shops, restaurants, ATM’s, bakery’s, bars and all sorts of activities including diving and kayaking.
The house itself is well equipped and has a spacious open plan living area and kitchen. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room and air-conditioning while the mezzanine floor, open to the living room, has a second double bed and is a lovely area for reading.
Doors lead from the living area on to a lovely balcony that overlooks the swimming pool and surrounding paved sun bathing area. The outside sofa and chairs are accompanied by a good sized dining table setting the scene for alfresco living.
The balcony also offers fantastic views over the forest to the neighbouring island of Ithaca beyond.
