The villa has everything you need in a great location

By Mfox on 28-Oct-2018

Stayed 10 days through to end August. Great location between Spartia village and the sea and the villa has everything you need. The pool in particular is amazing Recommend Taverna Cavo Liakas in the village square for the nicest restaurant with friendliest staff. Cubic3 cocktail bar in the square is also surprisingly good. Wasn't so enamoured with Waterways although location on the shore is lovely. Isalos was OK too. Elaionas was a little odd - food average and service quite theatrical! Recommend the sea kayaking with Sea Kayaking Kefalonia if you want a bit of gentle exercise and to see the island from a different angle. Overall I'd suggest you just book and go - you'll love it!

Perfect for a family vacation

By Francoise5 on 21-Aug-2018

We were a 3 generation extended family, wishing to have a bonding week holiday in a quiet, beautiful and comfortable place. The villa is situated in an spot with a stunning view over the sea, beautiful garden with a great pool, rooms are fine, big living room and well equipped kitchen. It just fits what we were longing for. A car is needed to go shopping , or go to the beach when it's too hot to walk 15 mins in the sun. The beach is down the hill, which means that you have to make some efforts to climb back, but it's feasible. We loved the place and would love to come back some day!

Amari Villa

By Dee on 06-Mar-2017

There is only one word to describe this holiday! Actually, it's two - absolutely fabulous. The location of the villa and the views from it are superb, making it an ideal place to relax with the family. We truly enjoyed everything about this place and can’t wait to come back for more lazy days by the pool and long walks along the many beaches nearby. The comfortableness and cleanliness of Amara villa is impressive. It was truly a magical relaxing family holiday – one that we will cherish for years to come!

Beautiful villa both inside and out

By Michelle W on 19-Oct-2016

Beautiful villa both inside and out. The views are stunning from the terraces. Would definitely recommend! On arrival the villa was spotlessly clean and there was lovely welcome pack of some essential foods and drinks. Even though villa is next to small through rd it is still very peaceful. The outdoor areas were beyond our expectations, particularly the pool. The only negatives were the bed frames were quite squeeky so everytime we moved during the night our young baby got disturbed. ...but I'm guessing this is easily resolved with some screw tightening!? The local mini market and lovely coffee lounge in the village would be within walking distance for people will full mobility, but for us travelling with a toddler, young baby and grandparents a car was essential. Similarly this was the case for the beach and the taverna; both were lovely but steep hills so walking back with pram etc was not enjoyable. ..simply solved by extending our car hire. The complimentary concierge service was completely wonderful and helped us organise car hire, airport transfers, food sho and chefs prior to the stay, and were on hand to help during our stay. Though there are lots of steps in the villa grounds they're big wide ones and not too steep. Also safety gate to stop little ones from getting near the pool when backs are turned. All in all a great place for a family holiday (we were with extended family), with plenty of space for every body to enjoy the holiday. Not a cheap option but worth the money and would stay again at this time of year (mid sep).

Stunning Villa with magnificent view and excellent facilities

By Richard & Family on 13-Aug-2015

When we arrived the inpression that the villa created was amazing and exceeded all our expectations. The view, the pool, the garden and BBQ area all made for a relaxing environment in which to enjoy our family holiday. The villa itself was very well appointed and spacious which was great as there were 9 people in the group. Ivor was there to greet us and gave us a very warm and comprehensive welcome. Pam came to the rescue when I manage to lock the villa and car keys in the boot of the hire car! The owners Hari and Dina Were extremely helpful before and after our stay. We would love to go back. We enjoyed the beach at the bottom of the hill at Spartia and Myrtos but our favourite beach was Antisamos. Mini market in Spartia village and excellent Cavo Liakas taverna. 5 minutes from Spartia is also an excellent taverna called The Olive Grove. Twenty minutes from the airport at Argostoli. Reasonable larger supermarkets on the way to Argostoli We loved hiring motor boats from Lourdas Bay and Agia Efimi and explored remote beaches.

What an absolutely fantastic villa

By Lis B on 05-Jan-2015

This is the first villa we have stayed in which is even more beautiful than its photographs. We could not quite believe how spacious the inside is with so much living area, a very well equipped kitchen, well appointed bedrooms with amazing views and smart, modern bathrooms. The outside is even better! A well kept garden full of lovely flowers and trees, refreshing pool and perfect barbecue and dining area -well laid out and shaded from the sun. Pam and Ivor who manage the villa were extremely helpful and had lots of handy tips on beaches and restaurants. Kefalonia is so unspoilt-no high rise hotels and the scenery is spectacular. We found so many sandy beaches and wonderful tavernas were you could enjoy delicious Greek dishes, salads and fish whilst gazing out at the crystal clear waters of the Ionian sea. We have taken many holidays in Greece but this was the best by a long way. I would not hesitate to recommend the villa or Kefalonia

Spartia Villa Review

By S B on 23-Sep-2014

The Villa is of a high standard and benefits from excellent sea views. Situated in a peaceful location but close enough to amenities and restaurants. The interior rooms are all good sizes and well finished. The pool and garden area is lovely with the benefit of a pergola and barbeque area which has good lighting for use at night. The pool is a touch too small for the size of villa and would be a bit cramped for large groups. The weekly change of towels is insufficient; we would have preferred a cleaning service and change of towels 2-3 times per week. Overall we had a fantastic time in Kefalonia and would recommend a stay at the Amari Villa.

Fantastic villa & pool, fabulous views, in great setting & location

By Carol T on 01-Oct-2013

There aren’t many things in life that are perfect, but Amari Villa comes pretty close. In the scheme of things, the odd niggle pales into insignificance and we were mega happy, in fact, we couldn’t believe our luck. Here’s our description of near perfection: There are fabulous sea views from the villa and pool. The immediate area comprises small hillocks so there’s lots of interest and green vegetation and trees of different varieties, including many of the very tall dark green cypress trees that are so typical of the area. The setting of the house and the fact that you have to walk down two flights of steps to the pool gives a feeling of opulence. And that’s the word, because, particularly with its many pillars, it’s the most opulent house we could see amongst the many houses dotting the hillside. The pièce de resistance is the pool with its light blue tiles but classy and practical one row of dark blue tiles at the top. It goes without saying that it’s a delight to swim in the crystal clear water. As for the house itself, it’s a palace. When we went, July 2013, it was all brand spanking new. The quality of the whole build and the house fittings is fantastic, nothing but class and quality. The quality of the sliding patio doors/windows is beyond belief, light yet solid. It’s all so modern, the lovely tall radiators and modern tiles everywhere. Big glass shower cubicles and dark brown tiles give a really sophisticated feel. The care with which items have been chosen is incredible. The sheets are crisp cotton, the towels are quality fluffy white, the comfortable bed has a memory foam topper and the pillows are memory foam. We loved the downstairs design of the house, the floor area is massive, totally open plan, you really get the wow factor when you walk in, with two sets of patio doors looking out to the 180 plus degree view over the pool and garden to the sea and the island of Zakynthos beyond. And it goes without saying that the three piece suite, flat screen TV, music system, dining room table and chairs are all big, quality, classy items. ‘A kitchen to please the most discerning of chefs’ it says on the advert. Too true. The quality of all the kitchen equipment is incredible. There isn’t one item which is ‘naff’. We drooled over cutlery trays, lovely sets of bowls, pans from John Lewis. Every single item has been chosen with such care, even the protection that’s on the shelves, the salt and pepper grinders .... and we could just carry on with this list. In terms of location, you only have to look at a map to see that the villa is extremely well placed for exploring the rest of the island and you can get the boat to the Lixouri peninsula. The paucity of beaches means that Kefalonia doesn’t have any big resorts, there’s no high rise and we didn’t come across any noisy enclaves. Most of the tourists are Greek and the roads are virtually empty. In short: just our sort of island really. And definitely our sort of villa. If we were being really picky, our niggles are the long thin shape of the master bedroom that doesn’t allow quite enough room to access the cupboards easily, the bed we found a little short for us but we are quite tall and there could be more flat surfaces but overall it’s a lovely bedroom. The villa is on a bend and the two pillars either side of the drive make the entrance narrow, even for a small car. There’s also a ramp to go over which adds to the difficulty of getting both in and out. It is also annoying that some cars hoot at the bend but the villa is on such a quiet road that it only happens say once a day. So there’s not very much to spoil an idyllic holiday.

Perfect and a whole lot more!

By Dee L on 18-Jan-2013

This villa really is perfect, you don't want for anything at all during your stay. The villa is superbly equipped with really comfortable indoor and outdoor furniture with uniterrrupted beautiful views all around the property. You can just sit out on the Balconies or by the the pool without getting tired of those wonderful views. It is quiet, peaceful and so relaxing, whilst being close to the capital of Kefalonia and some beautiful beaches. The local taverna and mini-market make you feel so at home. If you don't believe us, try for yourselves, we are booking again for 2013. A little peace of paradise, which for two weeks of the year we can call our home!

Review of Kefalonia Sea View Villa with Infinity pool

By Michelle C on 16-Jan-2013

What a wonderful time we have had at Amari Villa – paradise on the island of Kefalonia. Amari Villa is set in a wonderful, breathtaking location, seeing is believing. As we first arrived at Amari Villa, our breath was taken away by the unbelievable setting. As we entered the Villa, we couldn’t believe the size and the quality of the furnishing. The owners have really thought about comfort and convenience. The open plan lounge, dining and Kitchen occupy nearly the whole of the ground floor. We spent most of our time either outdoors or in the kitchen. Due to the setting of the Villa, we just wanted to spend the whole day just sitting on the many balconies gazing at the wonderful views of the sea, mountains and the Island of Zante. Amari Villa is exceptionally equipped and furnished, everything we needed was provided for. The Island of Kefalonia has so many beaches and sites to visit, however once we were at Amari Villa we only wanted to swim, sunbath, eat, drink and sleep. The small beach, which is only 10 minutes walk from Amari Villa, is secluded and quite, ideal for families. We highly recommend Amari Villa which can be shared with family and friends. We will be returning soon.
