Description

COVID-19 VIRUS
The safety and well-being of our guests has always been of paramount importance to us but never more so than at the present time with the coronavirus pandemic. As a result of this commitment, we have introduced strict hygiene and cleaning protocols throughout the whole of the villa, as well as those outside facilities that holidaymakers are likely to use. And to enhance this process, we also ensure the property is fully aired and ventilated after guests leave the villa and before new ones arrive. Finally, we’re pleased to offer guests hand-sanitiser for use on arrival in addition to the usual toiletries.

PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
In a quiet location near Moraira, the villa is just a short drive from the beach and local amenities.
This spacious and luxurious three-bedroomed villa with its private pool and large, sunny terrace, offers wonderful, uninterrupted views of the Mediterranean. A covered terrace leads into the large dining room and living area. A modern, fully fitted kitchen includes an electric ceramic hob and oven, extractor fan, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer and an excellent selection of utensils, crockery and cutlery. The light, airy bedrooms are large, each having floor to ceiling built-in wardrobes; glass doors lead directly from the master bedroom on to the terrace. A safe is also available in the master bedroom so guests can store items such as passports, cash, jewellery, etc.
Each fully tiled, spacious and brightly lit bathroom has a large, double-hinged window, basin, low-level WC; in the master suite there is a walk-in shower and a full-sized bath with shower-over in the family bathroom. The utility area contains a new, full-size washing machine, iron and ironing board. In the garden adjacent to the villa, a new terrace has been constructed complete with a custom-built barbecue. And children of any age are always welcome in our villa. Although there are steps leading down to the garden, internally the villa has the advantage that all living rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms are on the same level. When required, our local agents can install a child's safety gate across the doorway leading from the villa to the terrace and swimming pool area in order to provide extra security and peace of mind for our guests. And the only gate leading off the terrace is lockable for which guests will be given a key. If required, we can also provide free of charge a cot, high-chair and baby changing-mat.
Situated close to the attractive small port of Moraira, many 'Blue Flag' beaches are within easy reach of the villa. And for those requiring a bit more exercise there are a number of interesting (and challenging!) golf courses not very far away. For example, the magnificent championship golf course at La Sella, designed by José María Olazábal, is only 20 mins drive away and within 10 mins drive there are also excellent golf courses in both Moraira and Jávea.
However, a car is essential in order to get the maximum benefit from visiting this delightful and varied part of Spain.

KITCHEN & DINING
The superb fully-fitted kitchen, which includes items such as an electric cooker, ceramic hob, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, a large Liebherr fridge/freezer and Zanussi dishwasher, overlooks the terrace and pool and has direct views of the Mediterranean. A wide range of cooking utensils is also provided.
The spacious, separate dining area with its large teak table leads directly on to the terrace. Here, you can indulge in al fresco dining whilst enjoying wonderful, uninterrupted views of the Mediterranean.

LOUNGE AREA
The large well-lit lounge has a high quality, comfortable sofa and chairs. The modern, flat screen LCD TV uses a digital satellite connection and guests can enjoy a wide range of programmes (for example, all BBC 1 & 2 regions, ITV, Channels 4 & 5, etc), film channels and children's programmes.
A DVD player is available (playing Blu-ray as well as standard format discs) with a wide selection of videos available including films, TV programmes and many videos provided just for children. There are also music CDs that play via the DVD and TV.
A number of traditional board games are provided, as well as chess, cards and games suitable for children. There’s also a wide range of both fiction and non-fiction books available in the villa.

BEDROOMS
Bedroom 1 - master bedroom with king-size bed and direct access to en-suite bathroom
Bedroom 2 - with double bed and access to family bathroom
Bedroom 3 - with twin beds and access to family bathroom
All beds have high-quality mattresses. The bedrooms are light and airy, and all have full air conditioning which can be converted to heating mode if required. And in each room there are large, floor to ceiling built-in wardrobes. The master bedroom has direct access via full height French-windows to the terrace and swimming pool, and also has a safe for keeping valuables in such as cash, passports, jewellery, etc. If required a child's cot can be provided free of charge.

BATHROOMS
Bathroom 1 - This spacious, fully tiled en-suite bathroom, which has direct access from the master bedroom, has a large walk-in shower area, hand basin and low-level WC. The whole room is brightly lit by a large, double-hinged window.
Bathroom 2 - This is the family bathroom for use by Bedrooms 2 and 3, is also fully tiled and has a bath with shower over, hand basin and low-level WC. Natural light is provided via a large, double-hinged window.
Hairdryers are also provided for the use of guests.

OTHER FACILITIES
Guests have free access to a secure, high-speed internet connection allowing you to use a computer, smart phone or tablet anywhere in the villa or, if you prefer, over a glass of wine on the terrace!
Full air conditioning is provided in the living and dining areas, as well as in all the bedrooms. Each unit can be independently controlled with no limitation placed on the use of the air conditioning although guests are requested to ensure the air conditioning is switched off every time they leave the villa.
A traditional, cast-iron wood-burning stove (ideal for cool autumn or winter evenings) is located in the main living area. Guests staying at this time of year will be given at no extra cost an initial supply of wood on arrival
The utility area contains a full-size washing machine, iron, and ironing board.

OUTDOOR FEATURES
The large, illuminated naya (terrace) is not overlooked so guests can enjoy al fresco dining whilst appreciating the panoramic views of the Mediterranean. Sun loungers are also provided allowing guests to take full advantage of the glorious climate. The private swimming pool (8m x 4m), is easily accessed via wide steps at the shallow end.
A large, custom-built BBQ and separate terrace form part of the outside features of the villa. All the necessary tools and utensils for the BBQ are provided, as well as tables and chairs for use on this illuminated terrace.
The villa also has the advantage of offering private, off-road parking.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the booking with the remainder payable 6 weeks before commencement of your holiday. However, please note that the rental price of the villa is the total cost with no additional supplements for things such as linen packs, final cleaning, etc, or for full use of the air-conditioning or Wi-Fi. And for long-term rentals or where a holiday lasts longer than two weeks, all linen is changed free of charge at the end of the second week. Although towels for use within the villa are already included in the rental cost, if required, at a small cost our agents can provide towels for use on the beach or the swimming pool at the villa thus saving luggage weight. The price also includes, if required, the use of a cot, high-chair, and changing-mat.
Changeover day is usually Saturday or Sunday (arrival after 4:00 pm, departure by 10:00 am). However, please don't hesitate to contact us regarding other changeover days and times, as every attempt is made to be as flexible as possible so guests can take advantage of cheaper, mid-week flights.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
Coast/Beach
The Costa Blanca (White Coast) is now one of the most cosmopolitan areas in Europe, having a coastline of over 200km and made up of some of the finest beaches on the Mediterranean. Many of these beaches, including the ones around Moraira, enjoy a ‘Blue Flag’ status - the highest award that can be given within the EU. This region of Spain also has one of the best climates in the world as defined by the UN’s World Health Organisation. Enjoying on average over 300 days of sunshine a year, summer temperatures rarely fall below 30C whilst winters are typically very mild with average temperatures around 18C. The local beach is only about 1.5km from the villa and is a small, picturesque cove used almost entirely by local residents. Facilities include a small beach-bar and the hire of sun-beds and parasols whilst the sheltered bay is ideal for diving and snorkelling. Moraira’s main beach, L’Ampolla, is an ideal ‘family’ beach with lots of golden sand and excellent facilities while just 1.5km away from the villa is El Portet. Surrounded by steep hills, this sheltered bay with its gently sloping beach is perfect for safe swimming.

Region
Just a few minutes’ drive from the villa is an excellent restaurant with stunning panoramic views looking directly out over the Mediterranean, a café enjoying similar views and an international supermarket. And just a short drive away, you have easy access to other supermarkets such as Aldi, Lidl, and Carrefour. MORAIRA is less than 15 mins drive away and there you can still stroll among narrow, flower-decorated streets in the town or just relax in one of the many pavement cafés. The town centre is an attractive blend of the old and the new with a wide selection of boutiques, shops, bars and some excellent restaurants offering a wide choice of Spanish and international cuisine. One of Moraira's most important festivals is the Fiesta of Moors and Christians, usually held in June. However, other towns in the area also celebrate this festival at different times during the summer. Theatrically presented in impressive costumes, the townspeople are separated into Moorish and Christian filas (groups) and hold marches and mock battles which take place at various times and places throughout Moraira. The high point of this amazing fiesta is the procession and firework display on the last day.
Clues to the region's history are very evident as you explore its villages, towns and cities. Place names have their Arabic roots but it's the architecture which is most striking. Ancient villages were built on hilltops and always featured winding streets to aid defence against marauders. GUADALEST is a fortress village that dates back to the middle ages, perched at over 1500m on a mountain peak about 25km inland from Benidorm, it is still only accessible via a tunnel passing through 15m of solid rock. CALPE, with its numerous sandy beaches, is about 20 mins drive away. Here you'll also find the majestic Rock of Ifach. It was originally called the 'Northern Rock' by Phoenician traders in order to distinguish it from Gibraltar. The volcanic Rock measures over 300m high and is now a nature reserve. However, for those wishing to get a breath-taking view of the coastline, there is a path which takes you to the peak. DENIA, about 30 mins away, is the largest of the local towns yet still retains much of its old charm with the fishermen’s quarter and its delightful cobbled streets and whitewashed buildings, all dominated by its impressive 16C castle.
For those seeking a more cosmopolitan experience, VALENCIA is about 1 hour’s drive to the north. This is Spain’s third largest city and is famous for its City of Arts and Sciences, with futuristic structures including a planetarium, an oceanarium and an interactive museum. It also boasts several beaches, including some within nearby Albufera Park, a wetlands reserve with a lake and walking trails. Apart from its superb modern shopping facilities, Valencia also has a wonderful, traditional fresh meat, fruit and vegetable market. Drive about 45 mins to the south and you’ll find BENIDORM with its unrivalled nightlife. However, other attractions at Benidorm include Mundomar Marine and Exotic Animal Park, ideal for a family day out. The Park is home to a wide range of creatures living in a simulated natural environment with one of the highlights of the day being the amazing dolphin show. Next to Mundomar Marine is Aqualandia, which features a multitude of water entertainments. Finally, there’s Terra Mitica. This spectacular theme park will transport you back to the Greek and Roman eras and has one of the biggest roller coasters in Europe.
Within just a short drive from the villa, you’ll find a range of leisure activities sufficient to satisfy even the most discerning holiday-maker. For example, there are three excellent golf courses nearby with one of them, the José María Olazábal-designed course at La Sella, also offering tennis and squash facilities. In nearby Moraira and JÁVEA, you’ll also find diving schools and jet-ski facilities and on Cumbre itself there’s an equestrian centre along as well as 4 tennis and 2 paddle courts. However, for those wanting a more relaxing holiday, there are many scenic walks with the local tourist office offering free guided walks of the area during the summer.

All you need for a great holiday.

We've just returned from spending 12 nights at Villa Ladera which we found to be comfortable, clean and well equipped with everything you'd need for a great holiday. The pool area was lovely, the bed was comfortable and there was ample amounts of glasses, cutlery and cooking utensils. It's set high up in a quiet urbanisation of similar detached villas giving you excellent views of the area and the Mediterranean sea in the distance. Although initially it can seem a climb, after the first day you realise that everything is within an easy 8-10 minute drive. Supermarkets, restaurants, beaches and my own particular favourite thing on holiday, ice cream shops. It was our first time in the area and we really enjoyed Moraira (10 mins) as well as the nearby cities of Denia and Gandia (45 mins). Contact with the owner was straightforward and they supplied us with good directions and access information. All in all, a super holiday experience which we wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Fabulous villa

We stayed in the villa September/October 2021. The villa was fabulous in a lovely location with amazing views. Would highly recommend, The Owner Derek was very helpful and nothing was to much trouble. Would rate the whole holiday as 5 star . Hope to return soon .

In 1 woord; Prachtig!

Wij zijn zeer te spreken over villa Ladera. Het was boven verwachting goed. Het huisje is netjes en alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Het apparatuur(vaatwasser, wasmachine etc.) is gemakkelijk te gebruiken en doen hun werk perfect. De foto’s op deze site schieten echt te kort. De Villa is vele malen mooier dan wij ons ooit hadden kunnen bedenken. Tuin is mooi onderhouden en schoon. Wij zijn met z’n 6 en gegaan. 2 ouders en 4 kinderen waarvan 2 tieners en zelfs die laatste hebben zich constant weten te vermaken. De eigenaar is ook heel erg aardig en behulpzaam. Omgeving is prachtig en de uitzichten ook. Strandstoelen en koelbox zijn er ook, heerlijk omdat je dit dan niet hoeft mee te sjouwen vanuit je eigen land. Mocht er uiteraard behoefte zijn om naar het strand te gaan. Privacy heb je genoeg in de Villa. Je zit eigenlijk heel centraal. Calpe is dichtbij, Benidorm is ook dichtbij. Wij zijn vanuit Nederland met de auto gegaan. Wij gaan zeker terug naar Villa Ladera!
