Amazing Villa!

By Yeliz on 18-Jul-2019

Would just like to say thank you to the owners for letting us stay here all through July. It mean a lot! It is a beautiful villa and would recommend it to anyone and everyone! Definitely booking again next year if the owner would have us back!

Villa in Arapkoy.

By The Peskett family. on 08-Sep-2019

The villa is all you could wish for - large, clean plenty of light and the pool is one of the largest I have had with hired villas. Being up in the mountains it's a lot cooler than being down in Kyrenia/Girne which meant when the temp hit 34° it was nice to get back after shopping or eating out. Plenty of trips about (we were lucky enough to take part in a baby turtle release one evening which was very special) the castle in Girne was fantastic and we also drove to Golden beach where the donkeys are wild (couple of hours drive but the beach is probably the best on the Island and the sea was like a warm bath. Girne is about 15 mins from the villa but really easy to find and loads of restaurants enroute. Martin the owner was very helpful throughout even arranging car transfers and hire from Larnaca airport. He also has friends on the island if you need anything and the lady next door was on hand for advice too. I, like most people tend to visit the south but as it is so easy to cross into the Turkish side now (transfer guy did it for us) I thought I would give it a go and I am so glad I did. It is so cheap compared to the Euro and eating out with drinks never cost more than a tenner a head even in Girne harbour - infact it was cheaper to eat out than bother cooking! All in all an excellent villa and holiday and I will definitely be back.

A home away from home

By Nicci on 09-Aug-2019

Our family have been spending the summer at Kath and Martin's villa every year for the last 4 years. It really is a home away from home for us, with everything provided that we need or might want. We often are arranging our next stay here before we've left. Located up in Arapkoy, just along from the village, the terraces capture the refreshing afternoon breeze, a welcome relief from the hot, sticky sun. Lounging on the terrace and playing in the pool is usually how our family chooses to spend most of our days. There's plenty of space for the sun-worshippers, shaded areas for the readers, and still room for our small children to play games. There are some ledges, with drops into the gardens below, and children need to be aware not to go near the edge. Touch wood, we've not had an accident yet! The gardens are maturing and in full bloom, a delight to see and smell. The children are aware of what they can and cannot touch and they delight in standing at the back gate to watch the goats come past twice a day, the villa echoing the goat bells with a cry of 'Goats!'. Inside the villa is well appointed, with everything we could need or want at home, whether we're pottering about for lunch, or cooking a meal, the kitchen has everything you can think of, and you can dine inside, or out on the terrace - we've never eaten inside the house - why would we with the beautiful panoramic views! That said, there are plenty of excellent restaurants just a small drive away from the villa, and the harbour at Kyrenia is a 20 minute drive. The whole villa is furnished to a high standard, with quality, sturdy, furniture that looks good, is comfortable, and can withstand small children's exuberance. There is a TV hooked up to a DVD player, and full internet access, DVDs to watch and a cupboard of games to play. Plenty of bed linen and pool towels are available, which is great for us as it means we don't have to pack those things with us, and there's always a nice welcome pack for when we arrive with the essentials - tea, coffee, milk, butter, bread and cheese! Its a really quiet neighbourhood, which is perfect for us. There are local cats roaming around, and dogs next door, but you rarely hear them and see them even less. You really do feel like you're at home and can properly relax. Kath and Martin have always been extremely welcoming of our family, despite the fact we've never met! They arranged car hire for us the first year, and now we use the same firm for taxis and car hire every year. We've never had any issues, but any queries have been promptly resolved by the in-country housekeepers. We find the whole process of booking, and being, on holiday here so relaxing. Can't wait to be back next year.
