Description
Situated on the south side of the Apennines in the Garfagnana Valley, the villa has panoramic views of the valley and the Apuan Alps beyond. On its own land and immersed in nature, it is blissfully quiet, with a garden, lawn and surrounding woodland. Built in stone in traditional local style, it is fully renovated and recently furnished.The 3 bedrooms each have en-suite bathroom. One has a double bed; the other two can be doubles or twins. For a larger group, there is a sofabed in the living room or an extra single can be added to a bedroom. Cots are available.
The living room has a log fire and the kitchen is fully equipped. Guest facilities include wifi, fireplace, central heating, T.V., DVD player, books, films and games. The house is equipped with crockery and cutlery, kitchen utensils, kettle, toaster, gas cooker, oven, microwave, 2 refrigerators, freezer, breadmaker, dishwasher, washing machine, vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board.
There is a spacious patio (530 sq.ft) on one side of the house, covered terrace (650 sq.ft) on two sides, and a small terrace behind the house. There is garden on three sides, with woodland beyond. There are 4 outdoor tables, 12 chairs, 2 sun recliners and 2 deckchairs. Herbs grow in the garden and in pots on the patio.
The Garfagnana is famous for its walking. You can walk from the house itself or in the nearby Tosco-emiliano national park and the regional park of the Apuans. There are also a riding school, tennis courts, public swimming pool and golf course within 20 minutes from the house.
There is an excellent local restaurant and cafe, with outdoor terrace, in the characteristic medieval hamlet of Sillico, 1 1/2 miles away. Local festivals and events take place all over the valley throughout the summer. Sillico's medieval festival, held 3 times in July and August, must not be missed!
25% of rental sum is payable on booking, with the balance due 45 days before arrival.

By Silvia M on 12-Aug-2021Stunning object in a mesmerizing location. Perfectly clean, comfy and cozy. Perfect for anyone who wants to escape stress and enjoy nature. Right in the mountains, yet only 1,5hrs from beautiful beaches - ideal for those who struggle to decide between the two. The kids loved it a lot and so did we. An absolute recommendation, not just for the house itself, but also for the lovely owner!

Surrounded by history in an ancient land, this comfortable house looks over a medieval church, valleys and mountains, a respite from a hectic world.
