A home from Home

By Isobel on 18-Jan-2017

We have stayed at this property several times and were really looking forward to seeing the changes that have been made. Didn't think you could improve on perfect!! This house has now had an extra en-suite bedroom added to it in addition to some improvements to the outside space (an over-ground pool and some swings). We have always enjoyed the 'homely' feel to this accommodation and this has been further enhanced by the recent changes. Would be perfect for a family with young children or 2 couples. Can't wait to return!

very Helpful Owners

By Linda M on 18-Jan-2017

We got a lot of help and advice from Louisa, the owner, and the availability of the sat nav and other items in the villa made our holiday so much more relaxing.

The villa was very clean, towels and toilet roll included, some basic food items and detergents were available to use on the understanding any used up items are replaced.

The villa is a little off the road and not overlooked by neighboring properties giving a it a peaceful and relaxing feel.

There are two restaurants within a 5 minute walk, we went to Il Sauro, and found the food and service great, particularly as we required a gluten free meal, in Italy this is no problem at all, gluten free food is widely available in shops and restaurants.

We would highly recommend this property, although it is some distance from major attractions, but the countryside and nearby mountains are beautiful.

The downside, beware of midges and Italian drivers!

Perfect Place to relax

By Kirsten S on 09-Nov-2016

The villa is a perfect retreat from your daily life. It is well equipped and maintained. It has everything you need for your holiday: enough space for 4-5 people, 2 nice bathrooms and a perfect kitchen. The furniture is modern, there is a fire place that´s also used for radiation and it´s very comfortable. You can have WIFI (and it´s good enough to watch even TV) and for the hot summer days there is a pool in the garden.

In the vicinity are some pizza restaurants. The supermarket is not far, but you will need a car. The owner lives in Great Britain but helps you a lot with everything. She is a great person!

Really enjoyed ourselves at Villa Sofia

By Steve on 20-Sep-2016

We really enjoyed ourselves at the Villa, the weather in the 1st week was very hot and sunny but the second week from Tues onwards was a bit cooler ( but not much) and we could still sit outside even when it was raining. The Villa was very good, nice to have a well equipped kitchen, the towels were lovely! The bed was nice and large and comfy!

In short we had a great time and really loved the villa.

Our stay at Villa Sofia

By Patrick M on 01-Aug-2016

We stayed at Casa Sofia for four weeks. The accommodation and facilities fulfilled all our needs. We were very comfortable. The surrounding area of mountains in the Matesse National park was beautiful. We managed a two night trip to Rome on the train, a two hour journey from the nearby town of Telese , which was very enjoyable. We had also intended to go to the Amalfi coast but we enjoyed where we were so much that we didn't bother!

The owner, Louisa, couldn't have done more to help us from the first booking and throughout, even to arranging car hire and pick up from the railway station.First class customer service!

The area is very rural and the local people were friendly. There are two good restaurants within walking distance others in Faicchio, a five minute drive away A drive through the mountains is a must! Full of breathtaking views and medieval villages. If you like peaceful, rural settings with wonderful scenery and meeting friendly local people we would highly recommend Casa Sofia.

Villa Sofia

By Amanda J on 25-Jun-2016

Charming villa set in a beautiful setting. Well equipped property which slept 6 without a problem. The outdoor space is wonderful to sit and relax in, swing in the hammock under the trees to listen to the lizards scurry about beneath you. With it being about 50 minutes drive from Naples airport you may feel you need a car. We used the villa as a base for excursions out and used taxis for transportation, taxi drivers were very prompt and drove safely, it worked well for us. The local restaurant bent over backwards to accommodate us and both the food and service was excellent. I would definitely like to spend more time at this villa.
