Villa Azzurra is a fully renovated property. Sleeps 8 persons. It is 250 sq. meters in size and has a very airy spacious feel. The independent villa is set in a lovely walled garden on an acre of land. It is approached through electric gates with audio screening inside the villa. It is situated about 3kms from the delightful medieval town of Oria and very close to the Sanctuary of San Cosimo, both can be seen clearly from the villa. Al fresco living is really the Pugliese way of life especially in the summer months. The villa has a large covered verandah to the front with plenty of seating and dining facilities. There is a further terrace a couple of steps down from the pool terrace adjacent to one of the olive groves. On this terrace there is a very large wooden gazebo 7mtrs x 5mtrs. This provides shelter for numerous very comfortable lounging areas, another dining area and an outdoor kitchen. There is a wood burning pizza oven and an open barbecue along with a marble surfaced preparation area and sink. All this area is well lit for cooking and eating under the stars. The very large saline pool is 13x5 meters and entered from the Roman steps, which are also great for sitting/lying on. The depth is 1mtr 40cms throughout, perfect for a decent swim and teaching your children to swim. There are 4 luxury white resin rattan sun beds and 4 grey with extra -soft cushions; these are dotted around the paved patio surrounding the pool. There are also a few turquoise sun beds, which can be taken to the beach or used as extras for guests. The pool and surrounding area can be lit for evening swimming. Close to the pool there is an outdoor shower, which can also be used when returning from the beach as well as a full 4th bathroom in the outhouse. At night the pool area provides a fabulous spot to enjoy a Prosecco or local Primitivo - pre or post dinner -whilst watching the spectacular sunsets! The property is in a charming location in the countryside 3 kilometres S.W. of Oria. We recognised the potential of the property as a holiday home close to the city and with good access to motorway routes to other centres and seaside areas. The airport at Brindisi is less than half an hour away whilst the airport at Bari is one hour and a half's drive to the property. The food and wine are excellent and are cheaper than many other areas in Italy. We love this area because of the wonderful Medieval and historic towns, fabulous beaches and nowhere is too far away to visit. The Villa has been transformed from a basic shell to what we now feel is a beautiful property that has exceeded our wildest dreams. Staying at Villa Azzurra will provide an experience that will give you a true taste of the "Dolce Vita".
The villa is in its own grounds of one acre containing 100 olive trees and other trees and plants. It is in a quiet and peaceful location so that everyone staying there can relax and chill out by the pool enjoying the lovely climate. The outdoor kitchen and dining areas provide further options to enhance your holiday and this includes a full sized pizza oven and built in barbecue next to a huge wooden gazebo. The drive into Oria takes about five minutes. The villa is equipped to a high standard with all new facilities to enjoy. It also has a very large lounge dinner plus a second large lounge downstairs allowing guests to have their own space when required. This makes it and ideal property for a number of families and or guests of varying ages. There are many things to do on our doorstep, including visiting ancient towns and cities both inland and at the seaside. There is safe off road parking for up to 4 cars inside the grounds of the villa. The local Primitivo red wine is manufactured just 7 kilometres from our villa and local white wines are grown and readily available at very cheap prices! The property provides a very tranquil and restful experience for its guests. We have enjoyed many fabulous sunsets from the terraces and verandah at night.

Absolutely Stunning Villa.
By Lorna R. on 22-Sep-2018
My family and I were in Puglia for a Wedding at Castello Monaci and booked to stay at this villa for a week. The Villa had all the amenities you could have wished for and easy access to surrounding areas of the region. Every attention to detail has been paid inside and out. The only problem was that a week was not long enough!
The owner Gaynor was extremely helpful in the lead up to going out to Puglia and during our stay Mike was always on hand if we had need of anything. I would thoroughly recommend this villa to anyone heading to Puglia for a holiday.
Owner's Response: Thank you so much for such a warm and generous review. It is most rewarding when guests recognise the attention to detail and the amenities we provide. We love the area ourselves and agree the villa is conveniently situated to visit many interesting, historical and cultural places and events as well as only being a short drive away from stunning beaches. We look forward to welcoming any of your friends or family in the future.

Vielen Dank.
Owner’sResponse: Thank you so much Ines and Dirk for your wonderful review. We were so pleased to hear that you and the children really enjoyed our big swimming pool. We were also delighted to hear that you loved the villa and Puglia and the Medieval City of Oria too. You will be made very welcome in the future if you wish to return.

Owner’s Response: Thank you Guige and Rossella for your wonderful review. We are so pleased you had a great time and thought the villa was beautiful, very clean and well equipped. So pleased you enjoyed our welcome pack of food and wine. Yes our representative Mike is always appreciated for his help and professionalism. We are also very pleased that you will recommend the villa to everyone. We hope to welcome you back in the future. Gaynor and Ray
A lovely location for a family holiday.
By Neil B. on 30-Jun-2018
All three generations of our family recently stayed at the Villa Azzura, this was something of an experiment as we had never all been away together at the same time and in the same place!
The holiday was a great success and in no small part this was due to the villa and the location itself.
There were 7 adults and three small children and the Villa was plenty big enough for us all and, when it was needed, one could always find a quiet space to read a book or have a crafty 40 winks!
Of course having the pool was a major plus as the children, and some adults were never out of it. Children can easily be kept an eye on while they are in the pool.
The villa is very well equipped with a good kitchen, we didn’t find it necessary to go out in the evenings to eat although there are some very good restaurants in the local town which is about a 10 minute drive away. The barbecue and the pizza oven (a great success) made sure “competitive cooking” took place during the week.
The TV and wi-fi made sure we kept up to date with the World cup.
Some great beaches are only a 40 minute drive away and at Porto Cesareo we hired a boat to do some swimming off the islands and also visited underwater ruins.
If you are a wine drinker you will enjoy visiting some of the best wine producers in Italy, Manduria the centre of Primitivo production, is only a 15 minute drive away.
There are enough bathrooms and showers in the villa to keep everyone happy and the villa comes with a high spec throughout.
Mike, the owners representative in Puglia was really helpful and made us feel welcome and at home straight away.
At some time we hope to go back, we have very fond family memories of the Villa Azzura
Owner's Response: Thanks for such a great review. We are delighted that you and your family enjoyed and appreciated the space, facilities and high spec that we try to offer to our guests. The pizza oven and barbecue are always a hit with guests and these plus our fully fitted kitchen give opportunities for cooking both inside and outside of the villa. The pool is always appreciated and especially enjoyed by swimmers and guests just wanting to relax and have a cool paddle! We are pleased that our meet and greet service was so helpful and that Mike was so supportive to you. We note that you may wish to return in the future so thank you for that!
By Jonny F. on 28-May-2018
Villa Azzurra is simply stunning. We had the pleasure of holding our wedding ceremony in the olive grove on the villa grounds so it will always hold a special place in our hearts!
We stayed for 2 weeks in this beautiful villa. It is spacious, clean & well maintained and a credit to the owners. Mike the property manager was very helpful and friendly.
The stunning villa grounds are also well maintained and spacious. We spent hours in the swimming pool cooling off from Puglian sunshine! We loved the outside gazebo, all lit up at night and perfect for a family BBQ.
We loved the location too.. Oria has some lovely restaurants. Our favourite trip was to Porto Cesareo, a quaint little port with a lovely seafood restaurant.
We loved our stay at Villa Azzurra and will definitely be back soon!!!
Thanks so much. Jonny & Kate
Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your kind review. This was the first wedding that we have ever hosted so we are delighted that everything met your expectations. We are especially pleased that you found that the villa provided plenty of space both internally and externally for the larger than average number of guests staying at the villa! We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Kind regards and congratulations. Gaynor and Ray.

We visited villa Azzurra with our family of two daughters their spouses and two grandchildren. The intention was to have a good base to tour Puglia from and return to comfort. Villa Azzurra did not disappoint, what an amazing villa! There was plenty of room for all of us with good sized bedrooms and at no point did we feel on top of one another. The fittings are furniture are of good quality and there was probably every electrical convenience item you would ever need. Pots, pans and cutlery a plenty. The outside space was fabulous with a large pool and more than enough space and seating areas. Later in the evening we would sit on the front terrace and watch the sunsets and the amazing red sky's as we enjoyed a glass of wine, or two. We barbecued on a couple of occasions but the pizza oven was a big hit, perfect pizzas and a must do.
The nearby Oria is a lovely hill top town with some great coffee bars and restaurants with very friendly Italians more than willing to put up with our lack of Italian and it was like going back to the seventies, hardly anyone spoke English and it was as cheap as chips. Puglia must be one of the cheapest places in Europe. In the local supermarket Eurospin a decent bottle of wine was about two Euros, a bottle of London gin 4.89 euro, vodka 5.39 euro and prosecco 2.80 euro I kid you not!
Also I must finish this review with a mention to Mike and Annette who welcomed us to the villa, visited us mid week and nothing was too much trouble, also the communication from the owners, Gaynor and Ray with the pre holiday information and welcome pack really helped get the most out of our holiday, thanks.
Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your glowing review. We were so pleased to hear that you loved everything about the villa and that you found our representative so helpful. The pizza oven is always a hit as is the large pool! We agree that Puglia is a lovely traditional region of Italy and very good value for money. We hope you will return in the future.Did you find this review helpful?
Everything you could possibly want.
By Mark B. on 02-Sep-2017
We had a great 2-week break at Villa Azzurra. We are a family of five adults and we were accompanied by a couple with two small children. The layout of the villa was ideal as the downstairs bedroom and living area provided privacy (and sound proofing!) for the young family. There’s plenty of room both inside and out. We were surprised at just how spacious it was. We would echo the previous comments about how well equipped the kitchen is. If you enjoy cooking you’ll find pretty much everything you’ll need. The wood-fired barbeque and pizza oven were well used, with an enormous supply of dried olive wood on hand. Although there are a great number of lighting options outside, we particularly enjoyed switching out all of the lights and lying back on the pool loungers to view the stars in almost complete darkness! There are beautiful beaches on both the Adriatic and Ionian coasts within easy reach. For the fit (and the brave) we would recommend a visit to Grotta della Poesia, which is on the other side of Lecce. There you can dive from a rock arch (not too high) into a pool of crystal clear water, and swim back under the arch into the open sea. Overall, a holiday not to be forgotten!
Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your glowing review. The outside facilities are often enjoyed by guests and you were no exception! The space is another feature which guests appreciate along with the well equipped kitchen. The villa's position allows easy access to both coastlines for beach and sea activities which is a good thing to point out. Thank you for the tip about the diving area;we will pass this information on to future guests. Thanks again. Please do come back and visit the villa in the future. Kind regards, Gaynor and Ray
Villa Azzurra - Truly Fantastic
By Burlands. on 26-Aug-2017
Just returned from a truly fantastic week at Villa Azzurra with my family. It was an exceptional experience and we all loved our stay there. The planning stages were smooth, professional and very friendly, with great help from Gaynor and Ray. Although we arrived at the villa later than expected, Mike was there to meet us and he was so friendly and extremely helpful and he was always available throughout the week if needed. The villa itself is just amazing, huge, very clean and very well equipped and furnished. We were a group of 8, which was 3 couples and 2 close friends and the bedroom layout was just perfect. It was a glorious week with the weather which meant that the outdoor area was used all of the time, especially the pizza oven and the BBQ, both of which were used several times. The pool is lovely and the outdoor furniture very comfortable. The location of the villa is great too, less than 30 minutes drive to some lovely beaches and many really good restaurants too just 10 minutes away in Oria. There is also a great Pizzeria a 15 minute walk away which also has entertainment on Saturday and Sunday evenings. Italian Line Dancing is something to see and do! It was a wonderful and relaxing week.
Owner’s Response Thanks for such a glowing and comprehensive review of your stay at our Puglian villa! It gives us great satisfaction to know that all the hard work put in by our team and us is appreciated by all the guests who come to stay. We will try to keep up the high standards of cleanliness at the villa and active support for the guests both before and during their stay! Do feel free to return to Villa Azzurra in the near future and join our growing band of fans who reward us time after time with 5 star reviews. We are considering line dancing lessons as part of our package but that is in the future ! Watch this space!

This fabulous villa far surpassed our expectations. We were a family of 6 adults and 3 children travelling to visit family and relax. The owners were attentive and helpful with advice and recommendations even before the holiday. On arrival, we were met by Mike, the owners representative who was also helpful and friendly. The welcome pack was very welcome. The villa was clean, well kept and very well equipped. There was nothing missed. The pool area was superb and the pizza oven was an added bonus. the children loved making their own pizza. The villa is very secure and secluded, perfect with 3 noisy boys, No neighbours to disturb. Outside and in, there is plenty of room for 9 people and we were never on top of each other. We visited the local towns and restaurants and were within easy reach of the beach. Thank you for a lovely relaxing holiday. Hope to see you again soon.
Owner’s Response We are so pleased you thought that Villa Azzurra was fantastic. We have also passed on your very positive comments to our team regarding the cleanliness and excellent service our representative at the Villa provides. Everyone appears to be wowed by the pool area and of course the pizza oven. We are also pleased you found the villa convenient for the lovely towns and of course fabulous beaches. We look forward to welcoming you back very soon.
By Sarah L. on 04-Aug-2017
We had a lovely stay at Villa Azzura and thoroughly recommend it. The house was quiet, perfectly clean and tastefully furnished both inside and out. It was equipt with everything we needed and more. The pool was amazing - large, clean and very welcoming. The garden and patio areas are lovely too with shaded areas to be found throughout the day, we especially liked the covered seating area, particularly with the fairy lights on in the evening and we have great plans to replicate it at home! The owners and their representative at the villa have been fantastic with communication and helpful hints throughout. Thank you for a great Italian holiday!
Owner’s Response. Thank you for such a detailed and positive review. We do take a lot of pride in the villa and seek to make the guests really enjoy their stay at the villa and the surrounding towns and seaside areas. We listen to all comments and strive to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail which we believe makes our property such a special and unique vacation experience!
Fab villa - even better than the photos.
By Ruth H. on 22-Jul-2017
We (two families) stayed here during the recent heat wave. It was too hot for us to do much sightseeing but fortunately the villa and its pool were so comfortable that it wasn't a problem. We had a fabulous holiday here, the owners and their representatives put a lot of effort to make it a special place to stay and it really shows. I can't recommend it enough.
Didn't want to leave.
By Mauro P. on 08-Jul-2017
This is a fantastic villa and perfectly located for visiting the region of Puglia, somewhere new to us, and my Italian in-laws. We have stayed in many villas, and this is without doubt the best, so well equipped and blissfully peaceful! The lovely Mike met us on arrival, and he was a great help assuring us that he was at the end of the phone should we need him - we didn't, as there were no problems at all. We had a real mix of days at the beach (only 30 mins away), along with visiting the many towns/villages in the surrounding area (Ostuni, Otranto, Gallipoli, Alberobello, Martina Franca). We also enjoyed the pizza oven (a great success!) and the pool was very welcome on the many hot days we had. We had a mix of ages in our group (14- 77) and we all enjoyed it equally. Highly recommended, we look forward to coming back!
Owner’s Response What a fantastic review, thank you so much. We are delighted that you have enjoyed your stay so much and appreciated all the efforts our team put in to make our guests holiday memorable and as perfect as it can be. We were very pleased to note you enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the villa and had fun using the pizza oven. It is often a favourite with our guests. Puglia really is a hidden gem! As you say villages, towns and coast are easily accessible and make for a very interesting and varied holiday. We look forward to welcoming you back.
This villa exceeded all expectations.
By Gloria G. on 10-Jun-2017
If you are searching for a Villa in Puglia then please stop now. Myself and seven family members rented this villa in early June and it exceeded all expectations, where the photographs really do not do justice to the Villas size, quality of design and equipment supplied. No attention to detail has been over looked by the owners, or their excellent representative Mike who is only a phone call away if you need advice or help. The Villa is very private with no near neighbours, but not isolated, being just a 5 minute drive to nearby Oria for any supplies you need or restaurants in the evening. Oria is a typical Italian medieval town that is easy to navigate by car, parking on the inner ring road, and then walking through the Centro Storico. If you need larger UK style supermarkets then they are only slightly further afield in Manduria or Sava. We found the Villa an ideal base for sight-seeing the region with Taranto, Lecce and the Italian Ionian coast (particularly Porto Cesareo) easy striking distances for wonderful day trips. In a 10 minute walk you can visit the San Cosimo Sanctuary and if you go on a Saturday you can also visit a typically manic local Italian market selling everything from fresh produce to clothes. Personally my family had the most fun in the evenings mastering the best pizzas using the pizza oven next to the pool, and then once it was dusk, watching the owls, with a glass of wine, on the terrace in your own olive grove. Need I say more! I would highly recommend this Villa to anyone. “
Exceeded all expectations.
By Gary B. on 03-Jun-2017
Our party of eight adults could not have wanted anymore from a holiday. Staying at Villa Azzurra was a great base to discover the beautiful Puglia area and an idyllic place to return to at the end of a day out. The villa was also ideal for lazy days by the pool and long evenings making good use of the facilities, including the well equipped kitchen, BBQ, and pizza oven. For nights out we found Oria has some great restaurants, and local supermarkets had everything you could need. We all agreed that staying at the villa was a great holiday and hope to return as soon as possible.
Owner’s Response Thank you so much for the great review! We do try very hard to keep up a high standard and make improvements each season. Most guests enjoy the features you mentioned and we do listen to guests comments and add extras where they improve the overal experience. Do return in the near future and have even more of the Dolce Vita. Many thanks.
Villa Azzurra Rating 5 star *

Dates of Stay 13/5/17 to 20/5/17 We arrived in Brindisi on the Saturday afternoon and after getting detailed phone instructions on how to get to the villa from Mike who was waiting for us on arrival it was pretty much straight forward . The drive only takes about 40 minutes if you know the way, but add a little longer for getting a bit lost the first time around. The Villa is in a beautiful position just outside Oria facing out on to the open countryside and on entering through the main gate and seeing the drive with each side having rows of Olive trees you know straight away you have come somewhere special. The first outside impressions of the villa is what a wonderful place and on entering inside and being shown round by Mike we were impressed by the quality furnishings and layout Firstly the Villa is well equipped with everything you need for a family holiday even down to having bikes to ride round the beautiful countryside with, or using the inflatables in the pool with the kids. We even had a go with the outside Pizza oven where the wood is provided ,which was a great way to spending an evening dining al-fresco on the terrace. The position on the villa is ideal for exploring Puglia in the car as most places are in easy reach including the 3 nice beaches along the coast which take 30 to 40 mins. There are numerous nice restaurants in easy reach of the villa all having their bit of Italian charm and wonderful food. Overall if you are looking for a great family holiday Italian style and mixing with the locals you will not be disappointed staying at Villa Azzurra. I would thoroughly recommend renting this villa for family's and adults alike. The only negative I have to say about the villa was 1 week was not enough, hopefully we will return next year. Des Kelly
Owner’s Response Thank you for your lovely review Des and party. We were delighted to see how much you enjoyed your stay at Villa Azzurra and the local area. We agree the position of the villa is lovely and also within easy reach of beautiful Oria, other medieval towns and cities as well as the numerous and beautiful sandy beaches. Everyone who has stayed at the villa has thoroughly enjoyed the pizza oven and had great fun trying to make pizzas and socialising and relaxing under the gazebo. We are so pleased you enjoyed using the bikes to explore the lovely countryside and that you all enjoyed our lovely pool. We will be more than happy to welcome you back next year. Thank you. Gaynor and Ray
Brilliant villa in excellent location
By James W. on 05-May-2017
Arrived very late but no problem for Mike to meet us and do the handover. There were 6 of us in the party and we all said wow when the gates opened and the lights of the drive gave a great impression. Although it was midnight the welcome pack was welcome and I scored major brownie points by producing 6 vacuum packed steaks. The villa exceeded our high expectations with a brilliant pool and pizza oven .The kitchen is to die for wish ours was as well equipped!!.The local town of ORIA is delightful and cheap for coffee breaks 8euros for 6 coffees and pastries.Villa is well place to visit all of the many attractions in PUGLIA.If it had been later in the year we may never have left the villa.Ray and Gaynor were efficient, friendly and professional hosts. We have had villa holidays throughout Europe for more years than I care to remember, Villa Azzurra is the best
Owner’s Response. What a fantastic review Jim and party. So pleased you loved it so much! We agree with you sometimes though, that we never want to leave. Also Oria is delightful, as well as the easy access to the whole region. We truly hope you return someday. Kindest regards, Gaynor and Ray
By Janice H. on 06-Aug-2016
I have no hesitation in recommending this marvellous villa in the countryside outside Oria, a lovely medieval town full of history and excellent, reasonably priced restaurants. The villa, itself, is beautifully presented, clean and very well equipped with plenty of outside spaces to relax or dine. (The pizza oven was a big success with the family). A very friendly representative was charming and available to give advice, adding to all the helpful pre-holiday tips from the owners, Gaynor and Ray. I really cannot emphasise enough how lovely Villa Azzurra is and would definitely choose to stay there next time I plan a visit to this very interesting region.
Owner’s Response Dear Jan and family, We are so pleased that you had such a wonderful holiday in our villa and in beautiful Oria. We have passed on your lovely comments to our representatives. We are very proud of our team who help us to maintain the high standards we provide for our guests. The pizza oven is always a big success with all our guests. We will be more than happy to welcome you back to Villa Azzurra and Puglia when you visit again. Kindest regards, Gaynor and Ray.
Amazing holiday and villa.
By Ant D. on 23-Jul-2016
The photos don't do this villa justice. It is spotlessly clean and has every amenity you could need. It's basically brand new! We arrived late at night and Mike met us without a problem - what a lovely man. We saw the pool and villa lit up and it looked lovely. After a midnight swim we awoke to a week of lazing by the pool, cooking in the pizza over and soaking up the sun. There's not much around the villa but you don't need it. Oria is cute but there are plenty of other places within driving distance - the beaches are lovely and it's easy to get a sunbed. Gaynor and Ray were so easy to deal with and we can't wait until our next stay - and there will be one! Thank you.
Owner’s Response Thank you for your lovely comments. We are so pleased that you and the other guests really enjoyed the villa and its amenities, having a great time too! We are trying to get our photos to give a better representation of the real thing; most other guests make similar positive comments. We are also pleased that you liked our local city of Oria, and were able to easily access other towns and beach resorts without any problems. Please feel free to return to the villa for another dose of luxury and chilled living in the near future! Thanks again, Gaynor and Ray
Underbar semester i Puglia
By Monica C. on 08-Jul-2016
Owner’s Response. Dear Monica and Per, Thank you for your 5* review. We are so pleased that you appreciated and enjoyed the special features we have included in and around the villa in order to make our guests stay a memorable and relaxing experience. We are also pleased that you enjoyed our local medieval town of Oria and some of Puglias delicious restaurants especially our recommendation in the nearby seaside town of Porto Cesareo. We are also delighted to hear about your intention to return to our villa soon. Kind regards, Gaynor and Ray

The villa was beautifully clean and maintained to the highest standards. The kitchen was equipped with everything a keen cook could want. Externally, the pool and surrounding areas were delightful. A truly luxurious and rare holiday experience.
Owner's Response: Dear guest, Thank you so much for your observations and lovely comments. It is so nice to see that our guests appreciate our villa and all the hard work that goes into developing and maintaining it. We also thank you for booking with us again next year. Gaynor and Ray Geraghty.

A listing description could not reflect the true perfection of this villa that lies in a peaceful area of Puglia close to Oria. The owner's attention to detail was exceptional with nothing left out or to chance. The property was exceptionally clean and well maintained and the facilities provided were outstanding. Ray and Gaynor made the UK end of the holiday planning experience simple by providing valuable courteous advice with that experience being echoed in Italy by the phenomenal support provided by Mike, the local representative; customer service at its very best! The property was very tastefully renovated and the outdoor pool, eating, and relaxing areas left nothing wanting. A welcome pack including the essentials to avoid the need for shopping en route made the arrival a pleasurable experience. Many beaches and typically historical Italian towns were within easy driving distance. Oria and Lecce are two of the larger towns and well worth a visit. I would have no hesitation in recommending this Villa and thank Ray, Gaynor and Mike on behalf of all six of us for a fantastic holiday.
Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We were so very pleased that you had such a fantastic holiday and enjoyed the villa and area so much. We realise that Puglia is relatively undiscovered by many British tourists so we are particularly pleased that you and your party found it such a delight. We will pass on your compliments to the rest of our team. Kind regards, Gaynor and Ray.
An outstanding villa in the heart of Puglia.

Having stayed in many villa's throughout Europe in the last 10 years or more I can confidently state this is the best property we have ever stayed in. The service provided by Ray and Gaynor in the UK and Mike in Italy was excellent. No expense has been spared when renovating this property with all the facilities you could wish for and all at a very high end spec. We were welcomed with cold wine, milk, bread and water in the fridge which was a lovely touch. This spotlessly clean Villa is set in the unspoilt rural outskirts of Oria where I defy anyone not to relax and chill out with a true taste of Italy. A car is essential for exploring but Archie's bar and restaurant is an easy walk away and offers a warm welcome and the most reasonable prices of any restaurant I have ever stayed in, without compromising on the quality of the food. I would have no hesitation in returning and would wholeheartedly recommend this villa to anyone. Thanks for a lovely holiday Ray and Gaynor.
Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your glowing review. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the Villa and local area so much. It is lovely to hear that other people appreciate the quality of the Villa and the service we and our team provide in order to make your holiday special. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Kindest regards.

It is impossible to describe Villa Azzurra without sounding over the top.The place is simply amazing. It is better & bigger than the pictures do suggest; the large pool, the terraces, the well equipped kitchen, the living areas, etc. Everything is finished to an exceptionally high standard. Mike, the representative was great. He met us on arrival and was available at all times to help if we needed assistance. It is a little remote, but if that is what you are looking for, this place is perfect. Thanks Ray and Gaynor!
Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your glowing review. We are extremely pleased that you loved our villa and appreciated the care and attention to detail that we and our team have put into the property. We realise that our photographs do not do Villa Azzurra justice and in the light of this we are going to replace many of the existing photographs over the coming months. We also hope to include a video. Once again we are delighted that you and your party enjoyed your stay. Gaynor and Ray.

What a fabulous villa - we wanted to stay forever! As soon as you drive through the electric gates via the olive groves to the front door of this villa, you know you are in for a treat. The love, care and attention to detail screams out from every corner of the house and gardens and absolutely nothing has been forgotten - the kitchen is better equipped than mine at home, the bedrooms and bathrooms are cool, spacious and luxurious, the living/dining room is big enough to accommodate a large, noisy family with 4 teenagers easily, and the outside space is the icing on the cake - a pool much bigger than you usually find in a rental property, excellent outdoor shower, a fairy-lit gazebo for outdoor dining and the piece de resistance, the wood fired pizza oven - what a fantastic way to while away a few hours in the evening, with a glass of something chilled, the pizzas cooking, the sun setting, the birds roosting in the olive trees and the bells ringing from the Sanctuary next door.
We would also like to mention how fantastic Mike, the villa representative, was - he went out of his way to fix any minor issues and was a great source of local knowledge. He and his team ensured that the villa was immaculately clean and tidy when we arrived, and his visits during the week to clean the pool were always at our convenience and no bother at all. Thank you so much, Ray and Gaynor, we will be back!
Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your lovely comments and for taking the time to write this review. We are delighted that your stay was such a pleasure. You are welcome back any time. We will pass on your praise to our local team. Ciao for now. Gaynor and Ray.
Stunning villa + they had thought of everything.

The photos don't do this fantastic place justice. We felt like we had walked into the stage of the X-factor when the contestants go to the judges' luxurious Hollywood homes. The villa is beautifully designed and furnished. The owners have thought of everything, from the outside shower by the pool to the humble salad spinner. The ensuite bathrooms are impeccable, the kitchen has everything, and the sitting areas are very comfortable. There are lots of little touches which add to the magic - solar powered fairy lights in the garden, beautiful blue cushions and ornaments around the villa, and the electric gates create your own secure, private oasis. It is also a great base from which to explore Puglia - there is so much to see, we just wish we'd had longer. The pool is a good size and just perfect for cooling down in the intense summer heat. We ate at pretty much all the places Ray and Gaynor had recommended and the food was consistently great and very good value. Finally, the local manager Ray is easy to reach and very helpful. Highly recommended.
Owner's Response: Dear Nicola and family, We are so pleased you had such a wonderful holiday experience at our Villa. It was lovely to hear that you noticed and appreciated all our efforts to make the villa comfortable and attractive. We are also pleased that you enjoyed our local restaurant recommendations. We hope you will return to Puglia and the Villa some time in the future.

We are a family of five and have rented villas several times in Italy, France and Portugal. This was the best we have stayed in for a number of reasons - spaciousness of the villa itself, the really excellent pool and outside areas and the peaceful location. Just chilling out in and around the pool was very therapeutic, watching the swallows swooping past for a quick drink. The agent, Mike, is very helpful also. Getting to the villa, especially from Bari, is a fair drive but once we got there and got our bearings, we could appreciate the location - equally handy for Ionian beaches or for Lecce or the Istria valley. We would not say Oria is touristy at all but it has a slightly scruffy charm and we enjoyed the feeling of being a little off the beaten track. This was our first visit to Puglia and we would happily return.
Owner's Response: Thank you for your lovely comments. We are so pleased you had a wonderful time in our Villa and would be happy to welcome you back in the future. Gaynor and Ray Geraghty
10 days in heaven.

A truly wonderful holiday .The villa's amenities were superb. Everything was of such a high standard. Wonderful pool area. So many areas to relax, eat drink etc. Very well thought out. Loved being surrounded by the olive groves. This area of Italy really is unspoilt. Enchanting beaches and so many interesting medieval town to explore. We shall definitely be returning. Also fabulous food at great prices !
Owner's Response: Thank you Lin for your lovely comments, much appreciated. So glad you had such a wonderful time and that you and your family will come back to Villa Azzurra in the future.

Pictures do not do this villa justice. We stayed for 1 week in September and we were only sorry that it was not for much longer. We had stayed the previous 2 weeks in Tuscany and found that Puglia was easily as nice and much more affordable. It is a beautifully appointed villa with everything you could want and much more. We will definitely be going again but next time for a longer stay.

In July we had the good fortune to stay at this fabulous villa, made recently available for rent. Out of all of the villas we have rented in Puglia, this one tops the list, not only for what it offers, but for its location. The spacious accommodation with four bedrooms and three fantastic interior bathrooms can easily sleep at least eight people comfortably. Mosquito netting blinds ensure an insect free night. There is a huge lounge and dining area with a separate beautiful modern kitchen with all mod cons, making cooking a delight. We spent many a relaxing night enjoying the peaceful surroundings either on the front patio or the exterior built in kitchen area. The added bonus is the huge swimming pool and sunbathing area complete with ample sunbeds, outdoor shower and toilet facilities. The ancient town of Oria is on the door step for restaurants and shopping, while the seaside is a short car trip away. The Sanctuary of S.Cosimo and S. Damian is round the corner, literally a five minute walk away and its weekend market is well worth a visit. We will definitely be staying here again and highly recommend this outstanding villa for a perfect stay in Puglia.

This is a gorgeous villa, surrounded by olive groves in a quiet location. We had a lovely stay here, whether sitting around the pool or visiting the pretty seaside villages nearby for lunch. The villa offered all of the facilities we could want, with lots of space for all of us to stay really comfortably. Oria itself is just a short drive or bike ride away, with lovely restaurants and pretty streets to wander. We have booked for 2015 already.
