Casa Mara offers you the perfect holiday close to beaches and other amenities on the southern part of the Costa del Sol

This spacious four-bedroom townhouse is located in the gated Magna Manilva development within the larger urbanization of Bahia de Las Rocas on top of the peninsula Punta la Chullera about 8kms south of La Duquesa to the east and 3kms north of Sotogrande port. Punta la Chullera is in Malaga province (almost bordering Cadiz province) in the region of Andalucia.

This idyllic location offers spectacular panoramic views of the Mediterranean sea, the port of Sotogrande, the Rock of Gibraltar, the Sierra Blanca mountains, and the Moroccan coast. The house provides an ideal base for a family holiday or for a group of up to 7 people sharing. The elevated location offers spectacular views and enjoys light breezes during the hot summer months. Beaches, golf courses, mountains and good restaurants are all within 8kms.

The area is generally quiet and is characterised by a number of small coastal towns such as Torreguadiaro, La Duquesa and San Luis de Sabinillas, and the mountain villages of Casares and Gaucin. Estepona is a 20 minute drive and Marbella is 40 minutes. The nearest beaches, Playa Punta Chullera and Playa Cala Sardina, are about 3kms from the house and are quiet and secluded. However, the coast road provides access to numerous beaches with Puerto La Duquesa and Sabinillas being the most popular and a 5min drive away.

Sabinillas offers all the necessary amenities including supermarkets, banks, bars and restaurants, and a long beach. La Duquesa, which is practically joined to Sabinillas, has a beautiful marina, a beach and offers a good range of lively bars and restaurants. La Duquesa is the nearest night time attraction.

For those interested in playing golf, the area is dotted with many world class golf courses such as:

The Magna Manilva development consists of 48 townhouses arranged in 5 blocks with landscaped gardens and 3 communal swimming pools. The house (#21) is in the middle block just inside the main gate to the complex. Two cars may be parked at the house. It is built on three levels (semi-basement, ground floor, first floor) and, in addition, there is a spacious roof terrace with excellent views in all directions. The roof terrace enjoys sunshine all day long with small areas of much-needed shade that vary from morning to evening in summertime.

The house has air-conditioning and all rooms are well lit with natural light. The entire property is finished to a high quality and is equipped and furnished to a high standard. The living room has a large patio suitable for dining al fresca. The house sleeps 9 people in 2 en suite double bedrooms located on the first floor; and two more bedrooms in the spacious (65 square m) semi-basement - one double and one triple with a separate bathroom on the same level. The master bedroom has a small terrace enjoying a good view south-west. The second bedroom has a view of a quaint old hacienda or farmhouse, now unoccupied. A cot and large inflatable bed are also available for small children. Extra sets of bed linen and ample towels available.

At ground level, the large lounge/diner has its own, covered patio for al fresco dining. A separate toilet is located off the lounge. The lounge has a comfortable sofa set and a 10-person dining table. A fully-equipped separate kitchen has a serving hatch through to the lounge. There is a separate utility room off the semi-basement with a washing machine and dryer.

The house is a 1 hour 20 minute drive from Malaga airport and a 25 minute drive from Gibraltar airport.

We have stayed here three times and it's a great house in a lovely location. Very spacious and close to beaches, shops, restaurants. Highly recommend it.

Lovely new house in very well kept estate with communal swimming pools. The living areas, and bedrooms were very spacious, and the kitchen was well equipped for self-catering. Beautiful views, especially from rooftop terrace (perfect for evening sundowners!). The house is in a great location with the lovely La Duquesa port, as well as many beaches close by.
