The flat is in one of the old districts of Rome, with a friendly local atmosphere. Since this is where I live most of the time, the flat is full of books, CDs, DVDs, TV, DVD player, hi-fi and 24 hour wi-fi internet access. The building is beautiful, there's a porter, and the neighbours are friendly. There is a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with 2 sofas, one a bed if necessary, and a large bedroom. All three rooms have French windows.
Best location in Rome

This is the best location in Rome with great and interesting smaller boutiques in the neighborhood. The doorman of the property is very helpful and really kind as well. Evelyn was a pleasure to deal with and next time i"m in Rome I plan to rent this again. Thanks!
The comforts of home

The location is excellent, just a few minutes walk from the Forum and Coliseum. Great bus connections and a 20 min walk to the train station. Evie is a good host and has a good reference book of things to do in the area. The apartment is well stocked, especially the kitchen. We really appreciated having olive oil, vinegar, salt, butter, etc, even some delicious pears from Evie's garden. There is a lift so you don't have to carry your luggage up the stairs. A comfortable place to stay in the heart of Rome.
Great stay in central Rome!

This is a convenient, extremely comfortable, very quiet and lovely apartment! It has all the amenities for a stay of any length, is close to the forums and many other sights; for comfort and location iit's the best place I've ever stayed in Rome. I recommend it highly!

My husband and I stayed here four nights. This flat was like coming home for us after a lot of traveling around Italy. The apartment is filled with art and books and was a comfy place to rest while sightseeing in Rome. We could walk to the Coliseum in 5 minutes, great neighborhood restaurants and bars, and there were treasures of art and architecture around every corner. (Make sure to visit the Villa Aldobrandini up the street for a lovely secluded park looking over the city. ) The apartment had everything we needed including cooking supplies, washer and dryer, and room to relax. Evie greeted us and was very helpful with information about the apartment and neighborhood and also emailed during our stay to let us know about some special events going on in the city. Also it was extremely quiet and peaceful. I would definitely go back and recommend to friends.
Comfortable and well appointed apartment.

My wife and I had a very pleasant stay at Evelyn's apartment in the Monti district. This was our first time in this part of the city, very close to the Colosseum and imperial forums and a short walk to the Pantheon and Piazza Navona. On this visit to Rome we were there for only four nights, but this apartment would be a great base for a longer stay. It has a well equipped kitchen and laundry, and a comfortable sitting room. The neighborhood is filled with interesting restaurants and bars.
lovely apartment, can't beat the location
By Leia A. on 01-Feb-2019
We easily walked to Termini (central train station with bus/train connections to the airports), the Pantheon, Forum, Coliseum, Trastevere, Castel Sant'Angelo, and Via Corso of course (great shopping street), with Trevi Fountains and Spanish Steps. The location is great, it's quiet and close to cute second hand clothing stores in Monti.
Homey comfort in a convenient location

We loved staying in Evie's home in Rome for a week in November. The apartment was spacious and well-equipped. It rained almost continuously for the week we were there, but we were able to keep ourselves entertained indoors thanks to Evie's large collection of books, DVDs and CDs! The location is excellent, not touristy, with many small shops and restaurants nearby. A metro stop is nearby, so it's convenient to get to other areas of the city. We definitely will be back!
Perfect Comfortable Location the best Charming building

We loved this apartment. It felt like a home. Not just a place to sleep. Loved having a separate dryer when washing clothes. Enjoyed BBC DVDs and theistic cds. Building lovely

Great location in Rome
By William T. on 14-May-2018
The location was absolutely great. It was around the corner to the forum (about 5 minutes) and not much further to the Colosseum (7 minutes). There is a little food market close by with all the basics. Many good restaurants. The Gelato place around the corner had 30 flavors and was excellent. The place was very comfortable and the kitchen had all the essentials. One trick. You have to pull up very hard to switch to the shower from the faucet in the bath tub. Evie is a delightful person.
