Townhouse Christos in Skopelos town is situated in a quiet location in the oldest part of this Greek Island town. Spacious, elegant and relaxed, there are beautiful views from each of the three floors to the sea and Islands beyond. Townhouse Christos has been newly renovated. Loving care has been taken to retain its original character whilst providing comfortable modern living.

The house is perfect for couples or families who want easy access to restaurants cafes and terrace bars - and evening strolls along the bay. There are many boutique shops to explore - as well as the many beautiful churches and architectural heritage of the old town.

The house is great for those that want to avoid hiring a car as it has walking access to beaches and is right in the heart of the most beautiful area of the old town.

Within the house there are three open plan floors, each is generous, light and airy. The top floor is an open plan living space with large dining table and a modern kitchen, the wardrobe is used for utensils storage.

The middle floor of the building is the main bedroom with large double bed and is also used as a living room with large comfy sofa, the room has double doors leading out onto the balcony, perfect for an evening glass of wine with stunning views.

The ground floor opens into an entrance lobby with a day bed, there are double doors that lead into the generous bathroom / shower room. The day bed has a very comfy single mattress, we also have a fold down single that can be set up if you need two single beds as well as the main double bed on the mid floor. We intend this for couple with young children, if you are four adults - we are not best for you.

There is a large open space to the front of us so our views are from every floor, and, importantly for the old town - we are not ever-looked by other buildings as are many in the narrower streets.

There is a small car park, thirty steps up from the house, - this route also leads to the nearest beach, Agios Konstantinos, about a twenty min walk from the house. The beach is very child friendly and has a couple of tavernas.

Skopelos port is only a few minutes from the house, with its many restaurants, cafes and craft shops. Two evening terrace bars are also only a five minutes walk away from the townhouse, these have amazing views to other Greek Islands of the Aegean.

The house is about 50 metres up from the port and there are many routes to the house, the easiest is a gentle slope followed by about 15 small steps, (if you're unable to walk up small steps then we are not the right place for you.).

Amazing view, great location

By Shereen W. on 09-Oct-2019

We had a fantastic two week stay at this property, and let me just say, what a view!! The houses in Skopelos all require a bit of stair climbing, esp if you want a view and this house is no exception. But the house does stand out for its design aesthetic and has quite a luxury feel to it. The ACs worked great and the bathroom was pretty much a dream compared to some of the other ones weve seen around these parts. The top floor kitchen has the most amazing views, and we certainly enjoyed wonderful evenings eating and lounging there. Aside from wishing the fridge was a bit bigger we really had a wonderful stay.

Beautifully restored, stylish interiors, fantastic views, a very special place to stay

Tom and Suzannes eclectic and understated sense of style combined with antention to detail, have made this house a lovely place to stay. Walking up from the port through the narrow streets of the old town, you get a real sense of the character of Skopelos town and its local population. The house has a rare gap in front of it and allows the view across the bay over the roof tops to open up. I loved the location. Its car and motorbike free so quieter than lower down the hill. You can walk down to the bars and restaurants in a few minutes, walk across to the view points on the cliff tops or up to the terraced bar with amazing views next to the fort at the top. Top tip; if you hire a car, this is nearest spot to park with a short walk down to the house.
Car hire is relatively expensive on the island but worth it if you want to explore and get to the more remote parts and find a favourite beach.
The night life in skopelos town is classy and the right sort of busy, the Blue Bar was still going strong in the early hours.
I had a fantastic time and will definitely be back. Cant recommend the house and the island more, its a very special place to stay!

Beautiful home and location

By Cecilia B. on 23-Sep-2018

We stayed 8 nights in Christos townhouse and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment itself is beautiful, renovated and very comfortable. The photos are very accurate. It is spread out over three floors, but really we did not find this inconvenient as the views from the top floor are well worth it. It is in a quiet location aside from the church bells ringing, but they were part of the local charm. Truly it was one of the most lovely rental apartments we have ever stayed in and we have travelled to a variety of locations. Tom was very quick to communicate with us and Jade met us at the ferry and took us straight to the apartment. There is a bit of a climb to the apartment, but once you are there you do not have to move your luggage again, so it is well worth it. The bed was very comfortable and it was quiet at night. There are lots of places to eat, or have coffee very close by. The supermarket is a little bit of a walk, but very manageable. We did not have a car and went places by local bus service which worked out well. We loved our stay and would highly recommend the apartment and Skopelos itself as it is less busy and less over run than other islands. They have managed to retain the local charm.

The property is tastefully decorated and has a fantastic location overlooking the port.

By Bryn C. on 09-Jul-2018

The property is situated half way up a steep hill in the old part of the town of Skopelos and has fantastic views of the busy port and beyond, especially from the top floor.
The house is tastefully decorated in Mediterranean colours and is on three floors. Effectively an upside down house the lounge is on the top floor, bathroom on the bottom with bedroom on the middle floor. This, in combination with its location on a steep hill makes it an especially physical challenge when the weather is hot and humid, which it was during our stay.
The island of Skopelos is small and relatively unspoilt. A car or scooter is required to fully appreciate the island at your own leisure.
There are lots of places to eat especially on the port front but as we found (as elverywhere else in Greece) the food is not brilliant and is expensive for what it is. On average you pay 4 for a beer and 10 for a cocktail. For two to dine out it costs 45-50 on average. Supermarkets are not cheap. Best restaurants we found were in Glossos and Rosemary just outside of Skopelos town.
Facilities in the house are OK but the air conditioners need regular servicing ( the one in the bedroom packed in whilst we were there and ceiling fan was no compensation). The house in our opinion is missing somewhere comfortable to sit on the top floor where we spent most of our time when inside , mainly because of the views. Also the ceiling fan on the top floor was of no use and is necessary as this floor gets very, very hot.
On balance though we had a really nice holiday. We think the house is ideal for two people, not more.
The island is quiet and unspoilt but the majority of beaches were pebbly and at all those that we visited cost 7 to have sun beds and a parasol.
Greek people are nice and friendly but they are not going to resolve their diar economic problems by fleecing the tourists (which is what it feels like).

Beautiful view, stylish house

By Ted M. on 03-Oct-2017

We had a wonderful stay at Tom's house - it is a perfect bolthole for two people or a small family, with excellent facilities, a great location within a short walk of everything you need in Skopelos town but in a nice quiet street slightly above the fray. And (best of all) a stunning view: the pictures are accurate but can't do justice to just how wonderful it is to be in the living space at the top of the house looking out towards the Aegean and Alonissos. We also loved the style of the house, which was chic but with an admirable lightness of touch and sense of appropriateness to the building and its heritage.

Exactly what a Greek traditional hillside town should be, picturesque and photogenic at every turn.

By Bev P. on 04-Sep-2017

Christos House has a tremendous position high in the old town with views across the tiled roofs of the neighbouring buildings down to the harbour. Plenty of character and charm, a must for any fan of Greece.
