We loved our stay here: Luis is a great host
By Sophie on 17-Jan-2020
We loved our stay here: Luis is a great host, and the house is comfortable and has everything you need. The view is stunning, and we loved lazing in the hammock, hanging out by the pool and eating on the terrace. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance. The track does take some getting used to, and you need a small car, but we got the hang of it after a couple of drives down. I would definitely recommend the house to anyone.
Hi Luis, we loved our stay in your house, thank you so much. I would only suggest that you need some new chopping boards in the kitchen.
Wow! This is such a breathtaking property
By Jessica on 13-Nov-2019
Wow! This is such a breathtaking property. We stayed for a week with another couple and we wanted a tranquil base from which to explore Mallorca, focussed on this side of the island. The driveway is a little tricky and took some getting used to navigating but is 100% worth it for the insane vista awaiting you from the house. We watched sunrise and sunset most days from the beautiful courtyard overlooking the pool and the valley / mountains below. We cooked over coal on the BBQ, swam, sunbaked, relaxed and soaked up the tranquility of the olive and fig studded hills. You can hear the gentle sound bells from nearby goats and sheep in surrounding orchards. Such a gentle, authentic taste of Mallorca away from the crowds and tourists. Sublime.
Luis thank you so much for an incredibly relaxing week. That is such a special spot and it was so tranquil to return there each day. We will be back!
Die Unterkunft ist wirklich schön gelegen.
By Frank on 24-Oct-2019
Also Daumen hoch...gerne wieder.
This cottage is everything as advertised
By Phil on 30-Sep-2019
This cottage is everything as advertised. If you want peace in a remote hilltop location this is the place. Great views over the mountains and Soller valley. The cottage is on the Soller- Deia walking trail. You will need to get supplies in Soller - about a 10 minute drive. You will get used to the track off the road to the cottage - it’s part of the splendid isolation! The pool is a great touch. Two restaurants fairly close by on the Deia road but more expensive generally than in Soller and the Port where there is a plenty of choice. If you haven’t been before call Luis on arrival in Soller as the property is impossible to find via sat nav. He will meet you and take you there. Enjoy!
Thanks Luis for great accommodation over the past week. It was exactly as described and exactly what we wanted. We would love to come and stay again and will recommend it to friends. Just a small suggestion. It would be helpful if you stated to those who have booked the property to call you on arrival in Soller to be taken to the property. I don’t think I saw this message. The directions on the Air B&B site give a sat nav link which is not accurate. However, thanks very much! Really good stay. Best wishes, Phil and Kathy.
We stayed in Louis’s finca for one week in September 2019
By Michele on 20-Sep-2019
We stayed in Louis’s finca for one week in September 2019. It is totally private with such a beautiful backdrop of the Tramuntana mountains. The location is about 1 hour walking downhill to the Port and village of Sóller. Or driving about 10 mins to the village and a little further to the Port. The finca was spotless and catered for all our needs. Luis was a great host and provide many helpful tips and restaurant recommendations. The path to the finca is rocky so pick an appropriate hire car! Other than that relax and enjoy the tranquility.
Great location, views of the valley and mountains
By Gareth on 10-Sep-2019
Great location, views of the valley and mountains from the patio / pool are amazing. About a 1 hour walk into Port de Soller on the path at the back of the cottage or a harder / longer walk into Deia if you go the other way. The drive down the path is tricky but you eventually get used to it wouldn't recommend trying it in a big car though.
We have had a fantastic holiday
By Joanne on 25-Aug-2019
We have had a fantastic holiday at Luis’s cottage. It has the most beautiful mountain views and is very peaceful and tranquil. We did not hire a car and used the bus, taxis and train to get around. But you need to like walking as it’s a good 50 minutes walk to Porte de Sóller. The pool is a welcome sight to come back to and having our evening meal while watching the moon rising over the mountains are part of what has made our holiday fantastic.
We had a lovely stay at Luis’s cottage
By Georgia on 20-Jul-2019
We had a lovely stay at Luis’s cottage. The house was very charming with beautiful views and it was in a really good location. The only real negative to mention was that we found it quite hot at night as there were only portable fans. We would love to return one day.
A lovely cottage with a great view
By Adrian on 10-Jul-2019
A lovely cottage with a great view, an impressive landscape and a fantastic calm. We had a great vacation and good moments in and around the pool, on the terrace and in general on the property. Outside the property you will find some goats and sheeps. Luis was a good and very present host, you can ask him everything about Majorca and destinations around the cottage . We would book it again.
Very charming old farmhouse
By Steve on 29-Jun-2019
Very charming old farmhouse with a superb remote location between the beautiful nature although close to Soller. Great for hikes and daytrips to discover the beaches in the Tramuntana area. The house is very charming and has everything you need, outside spaces are very cosy. The only small minus were the beds, which we thought were quite uncomfortable and hard, but the sounds of nature made that up.
Me and my friends had an amazing time in this cottage
By Henriette on 20-Jun-2019
Me and my friends had an amazing time in this cottage in the middle of the mountains. Luis is a great host and we looooved everything about the cottage (except the dirtroad, rent a 4x4, our VW golf didn’t like it). We have spend most of our time in the swimmingpool, reading a book or taking naps in the hammock. And we did some hikes to Deia and Soller. Nearest supermarket is a 15 min drive to soller, it’s one hour walking by foot (one way). Taxi from soller to the cottage is €20,-. Every morning we had a visit of a cute little black cat, we named her Deia. She needs lots of love and cuddles.. hope the future guests will take of her as well!
