A Little Bit About Stanići

Stanici is a leafy, former fishing village 5km from the historic town of Omis and just 25 km south of Split. Stanici boasts a long and sheltered beach with beach bar and restaurant where you can hire a skidoo or boat. As there is no road access to the beach it is quiet and safe. In Stanici village there are well stocked grocery stores, restaurants and a tourist office where you can book excursions. Stanici is a great location, perfect for exploring what the Dalmatian coast, and further afield, has to offer. Go rafting down the magnificent Cetina river in Omis, climb up to the castle for a birds eye view of the coast or try free climbing in the Cetina Gorge. Wander around historic Omis, some of whose buildings date back to the 10th century, visit cafes, restaurants, shopping all in the old town. There is a sandy beach, tennis courts and windsurfing and kite surfing school. A fish and local produce market is open most days in the main street . Boat trips leave daily from the harbour for the island of Brac.

The vibrant town of Makarska with its beaches, old town, boat excursions and night life is just 34 km away along the coast road with spectacular sea views. Brela, a popular destination, with its award winning beaches is just 24 km along the coast road. The UNESCO towns of Split and Trogir are an easy day trip.
