Casa Ria is a town house set in the heart of Tavira, so there are neighbouring houses either side and to the rear, many of which are commercial premises, with shops, restaurants and some are residential.

What type of access is there to the property?
The property is accessed directly off the main street. Mostly paid parking in the immediate vicinity, however, Casa Ria offers garage parking spaces some minutes walk away, nearby.

How quiet is the area around the property?
Tavira has regular summer entertainment and markets in the gardens and the square to the front of Casa Ria. This property is in the heart of the summer activity, we cannot guarantee that you will not hear the festivities outside.

Car rental, taxi transfers and bicycle hire can be organized with local reputable firms in advance or by calling the local representative.

Is smoking permitted?
Ashtrays are provided for smoking outside the property.

Are pets allowed at the accommodation?
Due to the possibility of guests being allergic to animal hair, we would rather not allow pets.

Which is the changeover day and time?
Flexible, though we aim to keep bookings as close as possible. Departure is by 10am and arrival is from 2pm unless otherwise arranged.

Are linen, bath towels and beach towels provided?
Yes, we provide a once weekly linen and bathroom towel change including a clean of the bathrooms. During longer winter lets cleaning and linen changes are agreed on an individual basis.

Will there be provisions at the accommodation upon arrival?
There will be some toilet paper and soap for arrivals and a hamper of beverages, with additional breakfast and snacks are provided for late arrivals.

Will there be a local representative available on arrival and in the event that we need any assistance?
Guests will be met at the house, or otherwise informed where to locate the key and visited soon after arrival. We ensure a prompt and competent service from a team of property managers, who can be contacted at anytime.

This wonderful accommodation sleeps up to six people and is a luxurious holiday accomodation in the heart of Tavira.

What is the outside area like?
There are two beautiful outside spaces, a shaded inner patio decked with jasmine, leading from the kitchen, perfect for dining al fresco.

On the top floor, accessible from the kitchen patio and internally from the living room, there is the quintessential roof terrace for enjoying the best of the seasons in Algarvian style, amidst the skyline tapestry of traditional roof tops. There are sun beds, seating areas and cosy corners decked by luscious plants inviting us to comfortably lounge around. Conveniently close by is an indoor storage room with a fridge to keep your drinks and snacks cool and a splendid attic room with sofas and TV and entertainments . The roof terrace overlooks one of the principal garden squares, which is mainly pedestrianised during the summer months whence there is evening entertainment of live music, street theatre and themed market stalls.

What is the interior like?
Casa Ria has been furnished with elegance and harmony, creating a very airy and comfortable home. The property is accessed from the main square and has a staircase leading up to the duplex residential levels.

The lounge seats six comfortably and extends into a dining area overlooking the river. There is a television fitted with MEO cable TV and means for playing music.

There are three double bedrooms, all have fitted wardrobes and there is air conditioning throughout the house. There are two complete bathrooms, both with baths, showers and heated towel rails.

The kitchen at Casa Ria is fully equipped by high standards with every facility to make your stay comfortable and easy. There is a small table and chairs for dining in the kitchen as well as outside in the pretty kitchen patio.

On the second floor you will find a cosy TV and games room with comfortable sofas and a table. From this upstairs sitting room you can walk out onto the spacious roof terrace, dotted with palms, and pretty bougainvilleas. There is a spiral staircase from the roof terrace leading down into the kitchen patio. The roof terrace is like a secret garden, an amazing place to watch and escape the world going by below!

Casa Ria has wi-fi internet connection fitted throughout.

Are sun loungers and umbrellas provided?
Two quality sun loungers deck the roof terrace. Sun umbrellas are available and kept in the utility area.

How far are the shops and restaurants?
Tavira has a vast variety of wonderful restaurants serving mostly Portuguese cuisine all within walking distance.

How far are the beaches?
Tavira Island beach can be reached by ferry boat from just across the river, a few minutes’ walk away. You will discover wonderful golden, sandy beaches, beach bars and restaurants on an island 10 miles by 1. The town ferry runs regularly from the end of May to the end of September. There is an alternate ferry service from 2km down river which runs all year.

How far are the golf courses?
There are excellent golf courses within 10 to 15 minutes drive from the accommodation. The closest are, Benamor, Quinta da Ria, Quinta da Cima and Monte Rei.

Is a car recommended for this property?
Car rental is not at all essential. Tavira offers plenty of local entertainment and places of interest. Public transport is not so regular so for visiting places further afield we would suggest hiring a car.

Additional information.
There is a breakage deposit of 300 euros, which will refunded accordingly one week after departure.
