In addition, The Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (with Rockcliffe just 12 miles away) is easily accessible with its sand dunes, wildlife and breath-taking views.

Wall and Lakes Holiday Cottage is perfect for walkers, cyclists, couples and small families. With large gardens to front and back and spacious private free parking for two cars. There are two bedrooms both with king size beds (the front king size can be split into two (2ft 6") small singles if required). There is a cosy front room with beautiful countryside views and warm cosy stove, good supply of fuel provided. A beautifully tiled, sparkling clean bathroom with shower over a large P shaped bath. The kitchen is very well equipment, bright and sunny with everything you need. Good free WiFi, sufficient for entertainment or work. With a sunny side porch, perfect for that morning coffee or to relax in after a day's adventure. The patio area is a real suntrap during the warm summer months. There is also a cycle store available for bikes or extra storage for guests. We find that guests with babies prefer to bring their own travel cot and baby bedding, although, we are happy to provide a high chair and baby bath, if request in advance.

Gorgeous Cottage and Lovely Countryside. We will be back.

By Moira & Dave on 29-Apr-2024

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this gorgeous cottage and lovely countryside. So peaceful. The cottage had everything necessary and welcome pack was a lovely surprise. Need to re-visit as not enough time to see everything. Many areas of interest. We will be back. Recommendations: Walking in RSPB Geltsdale. Howard Arms in town for ''steak night''. Bus to Carlisle, Cathedral and Castle. Lanercost Priory and Tea Room. Talkin Tarn.

Perfect to visit family in the North of England

We have enjoyed our first stay in Brampton to see family. The bungalow is very comfortable, slept well and everything was fine. Thank you for the welcome pack and for all the information available to read about the local area. Recommendations: Sunday lunch at The Duke of Cumberland. Evening meal at The Howard Arms. Lots of walks in the area, plus visit Carlisle to see the castle, museum and cathedral. Hadrian''s Wall was very interesting, and The Roman Museum and The Sill very good.

We had a lovely stay at Shirley and Alan’s cottage. Amazing views, peaceful and quiet. The home was immaculate and the hosts met us with a warm welcome.
