Description
A beautiful Grade II* listed Georgian 2 bed/2 bath ground floor recently renovated apartment in the heart of Aber. Only a 2 minute walk to the vibrant sea front and even less to the top end of town with all its charming independent bars/cafes/restaurants, yet tucked away on a quiet square between the Old College, Church & Castle grounds. In short, an ideal location to discover the many benefits of Aber. Free on street parking or £7/day in Church car park across the road.The apartment is on the ground floor and displays many original features including large floor to ceiling sash and shuttered windows, high ceilings with decorative cornice, a (non functioning) fireplace and column radiators. The entire apartment has been lovingly restored to retain the property's charm and character.
The apartment has elegant decor and an open plan kitchen, dining and living area. There are 2 double bedrooms, one ensuite and a large separate bathroom. The bathrooms have modern fittings but of heritage style in keeping with the period of the property and underfloor heating. There is a large walk-in shower with a grab rail available on request.
Both bedrooms have a comfortable Kingsize double bed.
Sadly, the property is not well suited to toddlers or very young children, unless a 'babe in arms'; in which case a travel cot is available on request.
The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, kettle and toaster as well as a range of saucepans, serving dishes, china and utensils.
Tea, coffee and other essentials will be provided for your convenience.
There is a smart TV with an Amazon Firestick giving access to a range of channels and films as well as terrestrial TV.
Wifi is available in the property.
Towels, bed linen, beach towels, kitchen hand towel and tea-towels are provided.
Guests will have use of the entire apartment.
Please note that there are 4 (quite steep) steps up to the front door (with a handrail) but beyond that point, everything is on one level.
Check in time is from 3pm on the day of arrival and checkout is by 11 am on the day of departure.

By Devon on 20-May-2025If you have the opportunity to book this flat - DO IT! This is the absolutely best private accommodation in Aber for what we needed. One of our guest has limited mobility, and the spaciousness of the shower and toilets was perfect. But the best feature is the flat itself, STUNNINGLY presented, brilliantly located, AMAZING host and well, its in the most beautiful seaside town in the UK. So if its available, stop thinking, BOOK IT!

By Dr Su Rosemary on 05-May-2025Kates place was truly one of the best kept and managed places, we have stayed in Clean, comfortable, within reach of shops/ restaurants , parking nearby etc What stands out always , is if the owner is lovely and takes great pride in keeping their place just so. Also to provide, bread/ milk/tea/ coffee on arrival truly elevates the person and the place. I found the en-suite bed , large , softer than I normally have but had amazing nights sleep with no aches and pains Kitchen is well equipped. Kate is really the most helpful and available host The people in Aberystwyth are so friendly Altogether a great long weekend .

Kate was so lovely and met us as we arrived to let us in and give us plenty of helpful information. The apartment was the perfect location as well. Would definitely love to stay here again when we return to beautiful Aberystwyth!

The flat is in a great position so we parked the car and spent the rest of the time walking around. I am celiac and Kate gave me lots of helpful information about where to eat and even had some bread at the flat for me. It was a really excellent experience from beginning to end and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

Kate was very responsive, helpfully met us at the house when we arrived, and gave us some suggestions about what to do in the area that ended up being some of our favorite moments of the trip. The neighborhood was quiet, walkable, with a gorgeous coastline and beaches just minutes away. Would stay again in a heartbeat!
