A wonderful weekend break at Limestone Cottage
By Chris on 30-Nov-2025We had a large family weekend get-together at Limestone Cottage. It is a spacious property, which can sleep ten people (although two of us had to use the sofa-bed in the sun room). We visited in November when the weather was cold, but the property was warm and the wood-burning stove in the lounge enhanced the cosy feel. The owners have made it very family-friendly, with a separate games room in the garden and lots of board games in the house. The piano in the lounge was a nice touch and was played enthusiastically by our grandchildren . . . There is a good sized hot tub which we made good use of over the weekend. With a large, well-equipped kitchen catering for ten people was straightforward, one slight negative is that the dining table only had eight seats, so we had to improvise a little. There is plenty to do in the area if you are staying longer than a weekend - we visited Chatsworth for the Christmas displays, which everybody enjoyed. Overall, we thoroughly enloyed our stay and would book it again
Great
By Paul Hansord on 19-Dec-2025We had a very relaxing 4 day break. The cottage was warm and cosy and had everything we needed.
Warm cottage in good location
By David on 01-Apr-2026Warm cottage in good location Cottage was warm and clean with a good shower upstairs. A very short walk to join Tissington trail and to drop down into Dovedale and Wolfscote. Excellent pub in Parwich, Sycamore Inn. Hot tub was lovely after long walks, plenty of sunshine in the Easter week. Would stay again.
