This property was the original Coastguard Station in Amble from where the lifeboat used to be launched from mid 1800’s. Immediately outside the house you can stroll around the breakwater and pier to the harbour. Watch the local fishing boats unload the daily catch and purchase the freshest seafood from the Alliance fish stall. Enjoy coffee and cakes or dine at the restaurants on the harbour. Dip into the little shore beach and explore the rock pools on the ‘jumpy’ shore, both are adjacent to the house. Browse through the independent shops and the collection of retail 'pods' next to the harbour and enjoy the local produce in the many restaurants found in town. Take kayak or paddle board lessons from the surf school. Cyclists and runners have a wonderful separate road side track to Alnmouth from Warkworth. Enjoy taking a river walk to Warkworth to visit the medieval castle.
