Brew House is an unusual and spacious property being a former Brewery and artists studio on three floors offering a large family living space incorporating the kitchen, dining and living areas on the top floor. This room also has a huge skylight which makes it very light and airy, 43" smart TV, reclining leather sofas and dining table to seat 6. The front door leads off to the terrace garden with views over the roof tops to the hills and seating at a table for 6.

There are 3 bedrooms, two king-size doubles and a twin bedroom on the floor below each with their own bathroom facilities which allows a high degree of privacy between rooms. There is then a utility room with washer and drier and the garage below.

The house stands to the rear of a courtyard away from the main road where the rear entrance and car parking are also situated. The front entrance leads to the patio and down a path to the road from which it is a short and level 2 minute walk into town. Free Wi-Fi is now available.

The property is about 300 yds from the centre of town and so offers the visitor the opportunity to walk into town to sample the many pubs and restaurants or visit the Monday market where you might pick up a bargain. There is a great selection of shops selling antiques and gifts, walking gear and some fabulous food shops to tempt you into something delicious for dinner. Bakewell is also a great centre to access the beautiful countryside whether you wish to drive or walk, and attractions such as Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Alton Towers.

The property has a 4 star Tourist Board rating

We had a lovely break in this property in Bakewell. It is an easy walk to shops and restaurants as well as being a good location of exploring other towns and the countryside. The property is well-equipped and very comfortable.

We had a lovely holiday in Bakewell and enjoyed fantastic hikes and cycling in one of Englands gems - 'The Peak District'. Brewhouse was perfectly situated close to town in a quiet courtyard. Spacious clean accommodation with comfortable beds and good showers. We had family come and join us for a few days and had plenty of space for 6 of us. Easily parked our three cars (one in garage, a 4x4 in front of garage and the third on Bagshaw Hill 30metres away using free residences parking permit provided by owner). Great shopping and places to eat in town. The Peak district has some of the most varied and interesting hiking routes in the country. Recommend The Roaches, Wye valley, Derwent Valley, Dove Dale, Monsal Dale and Monsal Trail. Hope Valley, Mam Tor, Castleton, Kinder Scout and so many more. Can not wait to return.

First class for families or friends. Wonderful open living space and bathrooms for each bedroom. What could be better? It is in a handy, central location in Bakewell, and has a lovely outdoor area with views of the town and hills. The house was spotlessly clear and very well equipped, but you would need to bring your own bbq. Take care with car parking. It is very difficult to use the garage, which restricts on site parking to one car really, but a residents disc is also available

the location and facilities were great, the seats and beds comfortable it was ideal for getting away from it all, and the local area only tiny niggle is the parking was a bit tight, in my Qashqai, but don't let that distract you from it in any way, we would very happily stay here again!

Absolutely loved this house, it's very spacious and equipped with everything you need and more. So much thought has been put into making sure that it is welcoming and comfortable for guests. The little courtyard/garden was ideal for our Westie, who loved just being able to sit and watch the world go by. It's very convenient for discovering Bakewell and the wider Peak District. We had two cars, one was parked very easily in the courtyard (Volvo XC60), the other literally round the corner (street parking) using the parking permit. Would not hesitate to recommend the Brew House, we were super impressed.

What a lovely stay we had in this beautiful part of the world. The accommodation was perfect for our family of 5 (3 teenagers) and very well equipped and spacious. Bakewell itself is a great location as a base to explore and there are lots of things to see and do in the surrounding area. We asked to make a tweak to our original reservation and the owners couldn’t have been more accommodating. Would highly recommend this property. As a footnote, as parents we try our best to give our 3 kids a variety of experiences to remember. We did LOTS in our week here...really lots. However, when I asked them what their favourite part of the holiday had been.....”the reclining couches” at the property was the unanimous reply.....you couldn’t make it up!!

My husband and I, his parents, and our three year old spent an ideal three nights at this property in early January. The place was perfect. Well laid out and equipped, it provided privacy, and met all our needs. Charles, the owner, was helpful, professional and incredibly prompt in all communication. Bakewell Town Centre was minutes away. Chatsworth a mere 10-15mins. Castleton, with all its charm was 25-30 mins drive. There is so much to do, and I cannot recommend this property and its location highly enough. We would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend for couples, family, friends.
