We loved our stay in Beadnell over Easter. Jonny had been so helpful prior to our stay, answering our (many!) questions about location an so on. We were delighted to arrive to a spotlessly clean cottage with a great welcome hamper. It's decorated really nicely so feels like a lovely bright and airy space, it's much bigger than it looks from the photos and is very well stocked in terms of utensils, spare blankets etc. The beds were comfortable, the shower was great and very powerful and having washing and drying facilities was a massive bonus so we didn't have loads of laundry to catch up on when we came home. The provision of beach toys (which we always forget) and games was a massive bonus, as was the lovely outdoor furniture (though sadly it was only warm enough to sit out on one occasion). We'd highly recommend Duck Cottage which can comfortably sleep 5 people. We'd also recommend eating at The Jolly Fisherman in Craster - the food is great and the views over the sea and harbour made it a very memorable meal. There's also a great playground just up the road from it. Beadnell beach is great and very close to the cottage.
Another relaxing stay here and everything as usual in perfect working order including a superb new bathroom with excellent shower and lovely tiling. Nice proper size tv. If the evenings were chilly the wood burning stove was a real cosy addition to the ambience. Plenty of room and all very well finished and furnished. Lovely walks from the door and lots of local attractions like Alnwick Castle, Chillingham wild cattle, Cragside, Farne islands boat trips , great fish and chips. All in all a very comfortable cottage for our late summer break. Thanks again👍👏👏👏
Brilliant well appointed Cottage in Beadnell. Really everything you need for a stay away from home -from blankets and dog bowls to kitchen equipment, books and games. Lovely welcome basket too. The decking is the perfect spot for relaxing and gets the sun most of the day. The beds and sofa were really comfy. Ideal location for walking to the bay with paddle boards etc. The extended check in/out times were also really appreciated! Definitely made everything much more relaxing. Enclosed garden was great for our sociable dog. Great Communication prior to and during our stay Really enjoyed our week at Duck Cottage.
Our family spent a lovely week in duck cottage, we mainly spent our time at the beautiful beach, it was so close. Although it was very busy we would walk along to where it was a little quieter. As it got dark we would sit and watch the bats zooming around. Went to the landings for a meal also Castor inn both good. Forgot my tea bags but found a small shop, I also forgot a hairdryer! A relaxing time was had. 😊
