Description
Starre Manor a beautifully renovated boutique Tudor home, dating back to 1502, and the first home to be built in the picturesque fishing village of Beer.Blending historic character with modern comfort it offers stylish retreat from 2 -1 14 in the heart of Beer, a unique village on Devon's Jurassic Coast.
Just a short stroll from the beach, shops and local pubs and restaurants, this is the perfect base to explore the area's coastal walks, fossil-rich cliffs ad charming seaside towns.
The Manor offers flexible accomodation with Starre House that accommodates 10, and Starre Barn, the annex to Starre House that can sleep an additional 2 - 4 people.
Inside the Barn features a kingsize bedroom with a cast-iron freestanding bath, a separate shower room, and a cosy living area with a sofa bed and smart TV. The fully equipped kitchen includes a SMEG fridge/freezer, fresh coffee machine, washing machine/tumble dryer and breakfast bar.
Outside, enjoy a private patio with space for alfresco dining. On-site partkimg amd am EV charger are availale (small additional charge)
The Barn is perfect for two, we do have a sofa bed in the living room if you have a small family (small additional charge per person)
The House has 4 large kingsize bedrooms and a double bedroom. This space is perfect for large gatherings and special celebrations with a large kitchen, dining room that sits up to 14, a games room, TV room, snug/reading room and a separate boot room and downstairs WC/shower room.
Outside there is a wonderful patio for Alfrsco dining together with a croquet lawn.
We can offer a full conceirge service and private dining can be organised for those extra special events.

Summer Family Gathering 2025
By Lisa Arnold on 02-May-2026We had the most amazing stay at Starre Manor. It was the perfect place to bring together family and friends for a special celebration. The house was incredibly spacious, well-equipped, beautifully decorated and furnished and had such a warm, welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax, socialise and celebrate together, while still having space to unwind. The cosy games room and pool table was great for our young adults, the large dining tables inside and out made eating together so easy and the bedrooms are just so perfect with a mixture of beds & bathrooms making it perfect for families. The location and setting made the whole weekend feel extra special, creating memories we will all treasure. Beer is a truly amazing village and perfect seaside location. Whether you’re planning a family gathering, celebration, birthday or weekend away with friends, Starre Manor is absolutely perfect. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better place and would love to return in the future. Highly recommend!
Starre House - 60th Birthday celebration
By Tony May on 02-May-2026Starre Manor is a truly exceptional property, we had a wonderful long weekend stay to celebrate a significant birthday and the house made the experience all the more special. Wonderfully finished bedrooms make for a great nights sleep with beautiful bathrooms. The downstairs social spaces cater for every need. A lovely Kitchen and beautiful dining room and so many more rooms to play pool, cards or relax and watch TV. The Manor House is situated in a lovely spot in Beer, close to the pubs and restaurants and a short stroll to the beach and beach cafes. We were blessed with great weather and had a lovely walk along The Jurassic coast path to Branscombe for Brunch, which I would highly recommend. If you’re looking for a property with that extra touch of class then I would definitely recommend Starre Manor.
