Overview
Description
Often described as a Tardis due to the surprising size that this apartment has inside. 6a Channel view is suitable for all ages (5 steps down to door), as there is direct access to the beach across the promenade and yet the shops and high street of Bexhill are less than 100 meters away. The apartment is comfortable and well-equipped. Not 'high spec' but there is everything you need. We have a walk-in shower and double basin in the shower room. The main bedroom is spacious with king size bed and the second bedroom has two beds and a chest of drawers. It's worth noting that there is one toilet separate from the shower room.
The beach is shingle at high tide, providing a relatively quick entry to swimming depth, without any dangerous currents. At low tide, rock pools and sand appear.
This is an ideal location to explore East Sussex including Rye, Eastbourne, Hastings, Beechy Head, Hurstmonceux, Battle, 1066 country, the South Downs, Bodiam and the local museums and exhibitions at The De La Warr Pavillion.
Walking the Seven Sisters early in the morning is beautiful and it is worth leaving early so to avoid the sometimes slow traffic into Eastbourne.
Seasonal rates apply.
Bookings have a £70 fixed rate change-over fee. Check-in from 15:00hrs Check-out 10:00. We have a 'No pets' policy. Bexhill has had new parking meters installed during lockdown so buying a parking ticket daily is required or free parking towards Gally Hill however, you will need to move your car daily.

Fabulous place - Summer or Winter!
By Dave, Joan & Harriet Page on 16-Feb-2020We have been staying in this lovely, comfortable apartment at least once a year since 2013. It is spacious and ideal for us and our little girl who has loved this place since she was a baby. There is a great view of the beach and promenade from the two front rooms and loads of restaurants, shops and pubs within easy walking distance. Camber Sands, Rye, Eastbourne and Hastings are just a short drive away. If you are a fan of Keane, don't miss having lunch in the Sovereign Light Cafe (on the prom) where they used to meet before they were famous! The De La Warr Pavilion is also worth a visit - a 3 minute walk along the promenade. Would always recommend this apartment for a great break any time of the year.
Lovely location and apartment
By Jackie Yap on 10-Apr-2019I spent two nights here with my children and had a really lovely time. Lucy is friendly, informative and very forthcoming, which makes it really easy to deal with her. The apartment itself is in a great location, and especially like that its easy for the kids to just go down to the beachfront on their own across a pedestrianised promenade. The apartment is well-equipped and very comfortable in terms of living and sleeping space. We look forward to future stays
Wonderful spring break
By Louise on 05-Apr-2019We had another great trip to our favourite house in Bexhill. This is the perfect base for the beach, DeLaWarr and enjoying some family time. The big social space in the apartment makes it perfect for getting together and enjoying company, with plenty of walks on the prom. Thank you again, and we hope to stay longer next time.
Fantastic accommodation
By Sally Radcliffe on 28-Jun-2018We all fell in love with Lucy and Mark's ground floor flat which is practically on the beach! The lounge and dining area is huge and very comfortable, with a panoramic sea view, and all other amenities are good too. We actually used the accommodation as a base to travel to the tennis tournament in Eastbourne, which proved an enlightened gamble, as the journey by train each day was very simple, and we loved the relative relaxed nature of Bexhill on our return in the evenings. Lucy was very helpful at all stages with our queries, and I wouldn't hesitate in recommnding this flat to anyone! We all hope to return next year!
