Leave ReviewAmazing family break
By Penny Gosling on 04-May-2025We stayed in Moreton House while visiting friends in Devon - at the Kingsley suite. The hosts could not have been more accommodating and left a beautiful local selection of treats to greet us. We’re travelling with four kids (7/8/10/11) and Helen and Harvey were kind enough to add an extra bed. There was such beautiful decor, so much space and all the practical things for travelling with family: washing machine, dishwasher, huge fridge, kids’ crockery…. The grounds are amazing and kid-friendly, easy parking: treat yourself to an absolutely AMAZING family break - or rent several suites and have an extended family reunion. Our favourite stop on an eight week trip: it felt like being at home.

Gorgeous Place to Stay
By Catherine Westby on 29-May-2021If you are looking for somewhere lovely to stay in North Devon pick Moreton House. There are so many good things to say and not one negative! The owners are friendly, helpful and attentive. The accommodation is beautifully finished and the thought that has been put into making these apartments perfect really shows. It's so refreshing to stay somewhere so lovely and also have our children welcomed. Lots of little extras to make the kids happy from the trampoline and soft play to the paddling pool set up on the lawn so the good weather could be enjoyed. Every need thought of and catered for, you can even borrow beach gear. Gorgeous private outdoor space to enjoy the evening sunshine. We loved every minute of our stay and would not hesitate to recommend.

Relaxing, beautiful spot
By TimBart on 31-Oct-2019The coast just down the road is absolutely lovely for walking and relaxing, A great brunch in Appledore. A noble place to stay with beautiful grounds.
Great Place to stay - Well equippped - Very luxurious
By Richard G on 30-Oct-2019Booked the 4 suites for a joint 50th Birthday celebration weekend in September 2019. The building has been restored to an amazing level. The attention to detail is superb and the apartments are really luxurious. Helen & Harvey have thought things though really well with a small range of locally sourced products left in the fridge such as milk, cider, beer and the kitchen has a supply of tea and coffee which is great for when you first arrive. The open plan kitchen / diner / sitting room is very spacious and well equipped and is really social to have dinner or just kick back wand what some TV. It’s a quiet location set in its on grounds. It’s a great place for groups to stay or one can take a single apartment with one of two bedrooms.
