Downedge is approached via its own private driveway to a large turning circle with plenty of space for cars to park. Inside, the accommodation includes six bedrooms, four bathrooms, 3 bedrooms enjoy en-suite facilities, four reception rooms, some with open fireplaces, all with large windows filling the house with natural light. Downstairs there is a comfortable living room with an open fireplace and garden views, there is a music room, a children's play room, a formal dining room and a fabulous family kitchen. The kitchen has a gas range cooker, wooden work surfaces, a farmhouse kitchen table with plenty of seating and opens straight out to the massive garden. There is a separate utility room and larder and a downstairs cloakroom.Upstairs there are six large bedrooms, three with en-suite bathrooms and a further shower room downstairs.
Outside the mature gardens are totally secluded with a lovely decked area for enjoying meals al fresco just by the kitchen as well as a newly completed games room with full size American Pool table and table tennis tables, there is a useful fridge freezer here too.
It is the perfect house and perfect location to enjoy all the Isle of Wight has to offer.

By Michelle on 26-Sep-2023A fabulous period home nestled in Brading, East access to several walks, including Brading Downs, Culver and the beaches at Yaverland and Sandown. The house is a fabulous size, and perfect for a family getaway.
Great week in Brading
By Margaret on 08-Jun-2023We had an excellent week in this fabulous house with its amazing garden. Facilities inside and out, were very good. The house was peaceful with easy access to beach towns via bus service. We recommend The Yarbridge pub for drink and really good food.
An excellent holiday

Large bed rooms, plenty of downstairs rooms if you need them and a huge garden with lots of space for children. The kitchen is one of its main attractions. Large, bright and really well equipped with good quality stuff.

By N/A on 22-Mar-2025Downedge house suited are needs perfectly. Lovely grounds and facilities. Enjoyed a game of croquet, table tennis and darts. Good for walks to coast and view point. Great local pub with superb food (Yarbridge inn).
Excellent space and well equipped
By Peter on 29-Aug-2025Our multi-generational family group enjoyed having plenty of space inside and outside the property. The large kitchen table was brilliant for family meals. The house was well equipped with everything we needed to accommodate, entertain and cater for everyone.
