Located in the prestigious Sands Apartments on the seaward side of Carbis Bay, this luxury sea facing garden apartment has stunning uninterrupted sea views and is just a few minutes walk from the soft golden sands of the Blue Flag Carbis Bay Beach.

This premium quality self catering apartment which has been refurbished for the 2019 season, has two bedrooms, two bathrooms a fully fitted designer kitchen, two private patio areas, a reserved parking space through secure gated access, communal gardens and wifi.

The spacious open plan living accommodation has two comfy sofas, an Italian designer Calligaris media unit housing a 49" Panasonic 4K Smart TV with internet access, Blu-ray DVD Player and a Playstation 4 games console whilst the dining area has a Calligaris table and four chairs, matching Calligaris sideboard, home to a PURE stereo system and plenty of books, games and DVDs to keep your friends and family entertained after long days at the beach or cosy nights in .

Remote controlled mood lighting, underfloor heating and fibre wifi make this luxurious apartment an ideal holiday home all year round.

The well stocked fully fitted designer kitchen has all of the appliances and equipment you will need, including large fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, microwave, oven and five ring hob. There are plenty of Dartington crystal glasses, Royal Douton cutlery, Denby crockery and oven/table ware and the highest quality pots and pans from john Lewis. And there are plenty of extras to make you feel at home too, including a slow cooker, food processor, blender, etc. High quality crockery for entertaining friends, but also plenty of plastics for our younger guests too.

The mater bedroom boasts a king size bed with luxury pocket sprung mattress and overhead reading lights, with crisp white bed linen and lovely blue curtains and soft furnishings from Laura Ashley. There are plenty of soft white towels for everyone, as well as Ercol bedside units, a large set of Ercol drawers and a large wardrobe, a flat screen TV with integrated DVD, internet radio with ipod docking station and a hairdryer. A travel cot can be provided for younger guests, although we do ask you to please bring your own cot bedding.

Bedroom two has luxury Hypnos pocket sprung zip and link beds which can either be made up as two (longer length) single beds or as one super king size bed. The beds are made up with crisp white bedding and there are plenty of soft white towels. Also decorated with curtains from Laura Ashley, the fresh blue check decor of this well appointed rooms makes it suitable suitable for children, teenagers or adults. There are oak bedside drawers with matching wardrobe, a 32" flat screen Panasonic TV, Roberts internet radio with music streaming capability and a hairdryer.

The master bedroom has a sumptuous fully tiled en-suite shower room with large drench shower, heated towel rail and spacious bathroom cabinet, plus there is a generously sized family bathroom, also fully tiled, with a smart, sleek contemporary Italian basin, toilet and bath with thermostatically controlled overhead shower, streamlined taps, as well as a large mirrored cabinet - perfect for all those teenage toiletries! Both bathrooms benefit from underfloor heating as well as heated towel rails.

Externally, the lounge opens out onto a private patio area with a table and four chairs, with uninterrupted sea views, and has access to the well stocked communal gardens. There is also a sunny rear terrace to the rear of the apartment, also home to a table and four chairs, as well as a pair of sun loungers; the rear terrace is a real sun trap and is the perfect place to relax with a cold drink and a good book!

Sea Shells has one reserved parking space through secure gated access. The Sands Apartments are accessed through a secure gate, and Sea Shells, although a ground floor apartment, has additional eight feet walls that surround the large rear terrace and bedroom areas, making it extremely safe to leave ground floor windows open throughout the night - a concern many people have when renting a ground floor apartment or bungalow. The sunny rear terrace is also a good place for young children to play safely.

Only a mile and a half from the picturesque fishing village of St Ives, arguably the most famous seaside town in Cornwall, which is easily accessed by the magnificent South West coastal path or the St Ives Bay branch line, Carbis Bay is the perfect location for a great holiday and an ideal base for exploring the many attractions that West Cornwall has to offer.

Enjoy the tranquil setting of Carbis Bay and its beautiful blue flag beach, or stroll along the magnificent South West coastal path, taking in the dramatic views of St Ives Bay, and be in St Ives in around 20 minutes or so, or hop on the very scenic St Ives Bay branch line (almost certainly the most scenic railway in the UK) and be in St Ives in just two minutes. Carbis Bay Station is just a two minute walk from Sea Shells and the short train journey into St Ives is a delight (adult fare is just £1)! The advantage of staying in Carbis Bay is that you can enjoy the hustle and bustle of St Ives, without the hassle of traffic and parking (many of the properties in St Ives do not have parking facilities and public spaces are limited), and during peak season driving through the centre of St Ives can be a challenge! You really don’t need to use your car when staying at Sea Shells unless you want to explore further afield.

Carbis Bay itself has a fabulous blue flag beach, a good safe family holiday beach with lifeguard cover usually available between May and September, there’s a beach cafe / restaurant & takeaway as well as a local shop, fish & chip shop, pubs, restaurants, etc. There are also spa facilities within walking distance, and a choice of golf courses within a two mile radius (including West Cornwall golf Club, probably one of the finest links courses in Cornwall). Water sports, including kayaking and stand up paddle boards, are available at Carbis Bay beach, with surfing lessons available in St Ives or at nearby Gwithian. Carbis Bay, just a mile and a half away from the bustling centre of St Ives, and is the perfect base for a memorable holiday.

Complimentary Spa and Gym membership for two adults is included for all stays before March 2020 at the nearby St Ives HarSpa (membership for 2020 will be reviewed in March).

St Ives has an abundance of art galleries, fine restaurants and a choice of golden sandy beaches, sparkling azure seas and its charming working harbour so it’s no wonder it is one of the UK’s favourite holiday destinations. Sea Shells is a non smoking property and we regret that no pets are allowed at any time of the year.

PLEASE NOTE : Guests staying at Sea Shells before March 2020 will receive complimentary spa / leisure membership for 2 adults at the St Ives Harbour Hotel 'HarSpar' , where facilities include indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and fully equipped gymnasium as well as relaxation terraces/gardens, plus fitness classes, and discounted treatments, food and drink at the Harbour Hotel. Additional day passes can also be purchased at the HarSpa. The St Ives Harbour Hotel is nestled above Porthminster Beach, with panoramic views of St Ives Bay. Membership after March 2020 is subject to annual renewal and will be reviewed nearer the time.

Excellent Accommodation

Excellent apartment in one of the most beautiful locations in the UK. It is within walking distance to the beach and train station. The apartment has everything you would expect and more - fully fitted and equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds, specious wardrobes and other storage. We cannot praise the service we received enough, and we are looking forward to going back.

Absolutely amazing, exceeded all our expectations

Location was perfect as we wanted to visit a lot of places in the area. Parking (secure) was a bonus as there is no where to park in any of the little bays or the narrow roads going down to them.The lovely seaside train into St Ives was just a couple of minutes walk away, the journey was only 2 miles and only costs a pound each! The owner has thought of everything you could possibly need, whatever the weather. Beautifully equipped with just everything you would need at home. EVEN...Left milk in the fridge for us to make a cup of tea on arrival... and a lovely cornish cream tea, coffee, tea, shortbread all set out on a tray....and a very nice bottle of Champagne too! We can't thank the owner enough for making our stay in Cornwall perfect.

Luxurious and well equipped apartment

It is ideally situated for Carbis Bay and the train service to St Ives or even London! We had a lovely week around the area. We enjoyed St Ives and went in on the train several times. We also visited the National Trust properties in the area and gardens open to the public. The area between St Ives and St Just so natural and unspoilt. The beaches are fabulous and clean. The accommodation was excellent and the extras were wonderful. We used to have a holiday cottage we rented out so understand the work that goes into this.

Fantastic

This was our third stay at Sea Shells. On the approach to the apartment you see the view, you know you’re somewhere really special..The apartment is fantastic, very modern and there’s everything you could possibly need there for your stay. The attention to every detail is perfect, there’s a lovely welcome pack on arrival with milk and Cornish scones for that much needed cuppa after a long journey. The beach is just a 5 minute walk and after a long day you can sit on the terrace and enjoy the sea view. The little train station is at the bottom of the road so you can be in St Ives in 3 minutes, it’s a lovely journey. We love it here and can’t wait to return.

Perfection

We stayed in this amazing apartment for 4 nights. The place is spotless and has everything you need, even a PS4! The shower in the en-suite is so powerful and all the beds are very comfy. Great sun traps at the front and rear of the property. The welcome pack was a real treat, and very much appreciated. The beach is a short walk away and is beautiful and clean, and the train station into St Ives is a very short walk away. If you are looking for perfection look no further as this place has it all.

Fantastic Appt In Beautiful Location

Our first time in Cornwall and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The apartment is amazing, luxurious, with fantastic sea views. Anyone having trouble walking/mobility would have no issues accessing the apartment. We traveled to St Ives by train as car parking can be tricky. We eat locally at Becks Fish and Chips and La Cassita and both restaurants were superb. We enjoyed days out visiting Lands End, St Michaels Mount, Eden Project and Roskilly’s Cornish Farm. I can recommend both the coastal and public walking paths near Carbis Bay Train station. We will be definitely recommending the apartment and Cornwall to friends and family.

Wonderful holiday!

We have had a fantastic holiday here!! The apartment is fabulous, beautifully decorated, clean and great equipment! We were thrilled with the welcome tray!

Only 5 minutes walk to the beach, all downhill on the road then down steps and slopes onto the actual beach which was big, clean and gentle. Great Watersports company on the beach with Kayaks, Stand up paddle boards & canoes, we had SUP lesson and the team there were so helpful and friendly!

All in all we have had a fantastic holiday and the Sands and would highly recommend it to others

The apartment has everything you need for a great relaxing stay. Modern apartment set in the best place to explore southern Cornwall. Five minute walk to the train station with a 3 minute train ride into St Ives. The apartment is fully equipped for a family of four, very clean , tidy & well looked after and with Carbis Bay beach a stone throw away what more could you wish for !

We have been very fortunate to stay in Carbis Bay on several occasions. We have always stayed in hotels. We thought we would try an apartment this time. To be honest the pictures on the website really doesn't do the place justice. It's way better than the pictures. A beautiful apartment. The owners were very helpful from the moment we booked our trip to the day we left. Brilliant location, my family loved it. Would I go back? Absolutely!

We stayed here in May. This place is perfect. Superb location, secure parking every little thing has been thought about, which makes for a really relaxing stay. The railway station is just a short walk away. The train takes just 3 - 4 minutes to get you into St Ives and all for a pound each. Of course you can take the coast path which gives stunning views of Carbis Bay and St Ives. Everything you need for a great holiday is included, even down to wind breaks for the beach and bucket and spades. We were celebrating our first wedding anniversary. Thank you for the gift Fay, it was most thoughtful.
We can't wait to return, its just finding the time. We just loved the place Thank you.

Sea Shells Apartment

Fantastic apartment 10/10, all information given was accurate, the property was very clean and very well maintained overall, has everything you would need and a real home from home. On arrival there were fresh flowers, tea, coffee, chocolate, Cornish shortbread, milk and even a chilled bottle of Champagne in the fridge, which I really enjoyed after the long drive. the property is perfectly located for a walk to St Ives (25 mins or so) or to catch the local train to St Ives, the Station is only a few minutes walk away and the train journey takes around 3 minutes. The apartment has a lovely enclosed patio, which was a real sun trap! and a garden terrace with sea views. There is allocated parking set within a very pleasant private court yard. We thoroughly enjoyed the Spanish restaurant at the top of the road and ordered traditional Tapas and Paella. There was a great variety of places to eat in St Ives and the recommended restaurants were excellent. We all had a surfing lesson at St Ives Surf School, the Instructors were very friendly and great fun! We went on a sea safari, hired a small speed boat and visited several local attractions. The Beech at Carbis Bay and around St Ives were stunning! with golden sands and clear blue waters. I would recommend this holiday to relatives and or friends. We will definitely book again!

This is the second year we have stayed at the apartment. It's lovely and spacious and very modern. It has everything you need, it's fully equipped including all of your beach essentials, which is wonderful. What a fabulous surprise that upon arrival there's tea and coffee,milk and a lovely welcome card. You can sit in the lounge and enjoy the sea view. Every detail has been thought of. The location is fantastic, 2 minute walk to the beautiful beach of Carbis Bay. The little train station is at the bottom of the road so you can hop onto that and head into St Ives which takes only a few minutes. We look forward to returning again next year.
