Sea Shells & Sea Spray are a pair of outstanding ground floor sea facing garden apartments at the prestigious Sands Apartments in Carbis Bay.

Located just up the hill from the magnificent Blue Flag Carbis Bay beach and a stones-throw from Carbis Bay train station, where guests can hop aboard and enjoy a scenic four-minute coastal journey into the picturesque seaside town of St Ives.

Sea Shells is a premium self-catering holiday apartment accommodating four guests, plus an infant in a cot. Larger groups can also book our neighbouring apartment, Sea Spray; together, the two properties comfortably sleep up to eight guests as each apartment accommodates four plus an infant. Sea Shells offers a bright and spacious open-plan living area with uninterrupted sea views. The lounge features two comfortable sofas and a contemporary Calligaris media unit housing a 49" Panasonic 4K Smart TV, Playstation 4 games console, Blu-ray DVD player and PURE Bluetooth/internet/DAB stereo system. A Calligaris dining table, four chairs and matching sideboard provides a stylish setting for meals, while a generous selection of books, games, puzzles, DVDs and CDs ensures entertainment for all ages. Remote-controlled mood lighting and carefully positioned lamps create the perfect ambience for relaxed evenings or romantic dinners.

The beautifully appointed Rok Punt designer kitchen provides a stylish, welcoming space for laid back holiday cooking and is fully equipped with granite worktops and premium Neff appliances, including a fridge/freezer, dishwasher and oven with five-ring hob, along with all the essentials you’ll need for a comfortable stay, including a washer/dryer and microwave. There’s an abundance of Denby crockery, cutlery and tableware, elegant crystal glassware, Denby ovenware, and high-quality saucepans from John Lewis. For families, plastic tableware for our younger guests is also provided. A blender and slow cooker are available making it effortless to prepare home-cooked meals or enjoy relaxed alfresco dining while soaking up the stunning views.

The comfortable master bedroom features a king-size bed with a luxury pocket-sprung mattress, complemented by stylish curtains and soft furnishings, and enhanced with local artwork. There's a large wardrobe, Ercol bedside cabinets and drawers and a travel cot is available upon request for our younger guests. The room leads to a fully tiled en-suite shower room, with a superb drench shower, heated towel rail, under floor heating and a handy bathroom cabinet.

The second bedroom offers flexible sleeping with a luxury Hypnos pocket sprung zip and link bed that can be configured as either two 6’6 single beds or one super king-size bed, offering excellent flexibility for families or couples. A light oak wardrobe and matching bedside drawers provide ample storage. Tastefully styled with blue and white curtains and soft furnishings, the room offers a bright and welcoming space suitable for children, teenagers, or adults alike.

Both bedrooms have flat-screen TVs, internet radios, hairdryers & plenty of plush towels for all guests.

A spacious family bathroom completes the accommodation, and is fully tiled with contemporary white Italian sanitary-ware, including a bath with an overhead thermostatically controlled shower, heated chrome towel rail and a large bathroom cabinet—perfect for keeping all those teenage toiletries neatly stored.

This premium holiday apartment enjoys a private patio area on the seaward side of the property, providing direct access to the communal gardens with wonderful sea views - ideal for morning coffee or sunset drinks – and also features a south facing, fully enclosed terrace that’s sheltered from the wind and basks in sunshine – it can be a real suntrap! Both the sea facing patio & rear terrace are equipped with a table & four chairs and the rear terrace also includes sun loungers – the perfect place to relax with a good book.

A true ‘home from home’, Sea Shells has been carefully designed and fully equipped to ensure your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Sumptuous underfloor heating throughout the apartment ensures a warm and welcoming atmosphere in every season, perfectly blending comfort and style for a relaxing stay all year round.

For guests working remotely, the apartment provides fibre Wi-Fi with an average speed of around 59 Mbps, and the dining table doubles up as a convenient workspace - made all the more enjoyable by the sea view!

With gated access and high perimeter walls, you can feel completely at ease — even leaving bedroom windows open, which can be a concern in other ground-floor developments.

Our neighbouring property, Sea Spray, has been furnished to the same high standard as Sea Shells and enjoys fabulous sea views, private patios, and dedicated parking. It’s an excellent option for larger groups, offering the perfect balance of shared time together and the opportunity to retreat to your own space at the end of the day.

Carbis Bay Station is a short walk from Sea Shells and is often the simplest and most relaxing way to travel, particularly during peak season when traffic and parking in St Ives can be challenging.
