Description

Located within the grounds of our house, we can now offer 2 large luxurious shepherd's huts (for the price of one!), which, between them, provide fabulous romantic accommodation for just two people. Custom built to meet our specific requirements the hut(s) are a fantastic place to stay. The main accommodation hut has a well equipped kitchen, with induction hob, fridge, microwave, butler's sink, double galzing, a Kingsize bed with large drawers underneath, a small log burning stove, electric panel heater, and even it's own WiFi with TV on demand! It also has a wonderful spacious deck overlooking Dandi our intact male alpaca, as well as his 20 friends in the adjacent field. Just 10 paces away is a separate LARGE bathroom and loo hut for your exclusive use. It has a full size shower with unlimited hot water, stylish vanity unit, heated towel rail, 'normal' loo...even silk curtains, concealed lighting and a hand made stained glass window, This is Glamping with knobs on!! Located off a private lane in rural West Dorset, we are just 8 miles from the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site, and have wonderful eat in pubs close by. We can off er cycle hire (electric of manual!) There is a choice of walks from our doorstep, or a plethora of others that you drive to.

Cosy Countryside Stay

By Michelle Rosenberger on 08-Jun-2024

5/5 Very cosy little hut with everything that's needed for a chill weekend. 6/8/2024 at 8:31 AM

Exactly as Advertised

By Joanna Coombes on 17-May-2024

5/5 Exactly as advertised The hut was charming overlooking the Alpaca's fields. It is compact but has everything you need, cooking equipment, cutlery, TV, even a log burner. The host wasn't there when we stayed but his Sister was and she was extremely accommodating, talking to us about the local area and places to visit. The only downside for us was the weather, it was wet. The shower and toilet facilities are in another hut, only a short walk from the main hut, but not great in the dark when it's raining. We knew this situation when we booked and can't hold our hosts responsible for the weather ;-) If the weather is dry, highly recommend.

Comfy, cozy, modern - perfect!!

By Sarah Heuser on 03-Apr-2024

5/5 Comfy, cozy, modern - perfect!! Wake up, gaze out of the windows onto open farmland and plenty of alpacas. Brew a cup of tea, take one of the freshly prepared biscuits and just live the slow life for a while. The stay here was beyond grounding and we loved every minute of it. The attention to detail is immense and it's the little things that make it - a friendly chat, a handbook full of tips and some freshly baked easter muffins. I would always come back here if I need time in nature. Truly recommend it to everyone looking for a weekend away. The alpaca walk is a massive highlight and from here, you can brilliantly explore dorchester and the jurrasic coast. All in all PERFECT! 4/3/2024 at 1:50 PM

The shepherds hut was perfect for a weekend away

By Gwen on 18-Feb-2024

The shepherds hut was perfect for a weekend away, close to the site seeing locations but quiet and relaxed. The hut itself had everything we needed and was extremely cosy and comfortable, made even better with the company of the alpaca’s. The weather was wet but this didn’t dampen our visit, with lots of places to visit and a cosy fire in the evening
