Set in a beautiful 4500 estate stretching down to the Solway coast (National Scenic Area), yet only 3 miles from the charming market town of Castle Douglas.This is one of five characterful houses in the cobbled 1805 stable courtyard of Gelston Castle, each one completely individual inside.
House 3 is the largest in the courtyard, and also the most luxuriously decorated and furnished (perhaps less suited to children, unless of angelic behaviour?!). It occupies a prime position overlooking the walled garden, with a lot of sunshine and natural light. It has a separate dining room, and a particularly fine sitting room with open fire.
Two of the bedrooms can be configured as either superking doubles or twin beds; the master bedroom is a superking double only; the fourth bedroom is twin only.
All-weather tennis court, heated outdoor swimming pool (in season), barbecue terrace, games room, labyrinth, rope swing, landscaped garden and grounds with many rare plants.
