Description
Alder Cottage is a large spacious cottage with lots of room for families and groups, pet friendly and wheelchair accessible. It offers six guest bedrooms, three lounges and plenty of living accommodation for multi-family/group holidays. The building is fully wheelchair accessible, with an adapted toilet with grab bars and a wheel-in wetroom. The building has an interesting history that explains its quirky layout. Once the cattle shed that formed part of the Blackerton Farm estate, it was converted into a home in the 1980s and fully renovated to become a holiday home in 2018.Bedrooms offer a mix of superking, king and twin beds with one family room available; a third lounge that converts into a seventh bedroom and additional beds available as futons in two of the bedrooms. The three lounges include a home cinema. As well as a gated garden/parking area with a barbecue, large patio, table & chairs, there are communal woodlands and a public bridleway offering easy walking access onto Exmoor. At the end of the cottage is a self-contained two bedroom Garden Flat with an enclosed garden, lounge, bathroom, kitchen and utility room. This can be booked separately or together with Alder Cottage. Please see the Garden Flat page of our website for more information.

Wonderful stay and friendly, helpful host

To top it all off, a super welcome hamper that we all enjoyed. Wonderful stay and friendly, helpful host. Would book again.

Lovely place for a big family get together

Lovely place for a big family get together, cinema room is fabulous, games and books available, little ones loved the wii. Victoria is a great host, really helpful, great communication. Will definitely return as had a great time and such good value for money.
