Leave ReviewGreat lovely little cottage that was very homely and a great place to relax
By Jack on 01-May-2025Great lovely little cottage that was very homely and a great place to relax after exploring the lakes! The village of elterwater is lovely and peaceful and so much to do you could nearly get away without going off on the car anywhere as there is a regular bus service that runs every hour! We all said we would defiantly stay again if we was to come to the Lake District as this place had every thing you needed! We would def recommend Thanks for a lovely stay
Lovely cottage right in the heart of Elterwater.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful cottage in Elterwater
By Sarah on 01-Apr-2025We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful cottage in Elterwater — the perfect base for exploring the Lake District. Four of us (two couples) and our dog had plenty of space to relax. The cottage was spotless, with comfortable beds, high-quality linen and towels, and excellent appliances throughout. The location is unbeatable, nestled right in the heart of the valley with stunning 360-degree views and direct access to countless walking routes into the surrounding mountains. There’s a great local pub just a short stroll away and an outstanding nearby restaurant focusing on small plates and local produce — a real highlight. Although the cottage has one designated parking spot, there’s plenty of additional parking within two minutes’ walk, which made things very easy. Alun is a fantastic host — warm, reliable, and always helpful. We’ve stayed in a few of his properties now, and they never disappoint. We’d definitely seek out one of his places again next time we’re in the Lakes.
Alun was very helpful and friendly throughout the process.
By Adam on 01-Feb-2025Alun was very helpful and friendly throughout the process. The cottage is in a wonderful location with lots of walks of differing difficulties - something for everyone. The cottage itself is very well appointed and comfortable. The beds and bedding are of very good quality, as are the household appliances. The wood-burning stove is a great addition on a cold winter's night. We would recommend this cottage unreservedly.
Cottage was exactly as it was marketed
