Description

We are a small farm, now non-working except for a few chickens and three sheep. The two cottages, Rose and Bryony, were converted in 2011 from former cowsheds by the architect Nigel Stock, and are furnished with furniture from Mark Product - our expanding high end furniture business. The design is contemporary with wooden floors and fresh colours. All amenities are new and to a high standard. The cottages are all on one level with views across fields and each has a private west-facing deck with seating and barbecue. You are free to roam over our eight acres with a stunning view from the top taking in the span of Cornwall from north to south coasts.
Flexibility in accommodation is available for larger family or friends group as we have an adjoining door that will enable you to access both cottages.
For children we have a field with a swing and trampoline sunk into the ground, and lots of space to explore and make dens. We are also close to many of Cornwall's finest beaches on the north, south and west coasts. The towns of Falmouth, Truro and Penryn are all close by. A perfect base for a Cornwall holiday.
Please note that you if your party of people is more than 4, you could also rent out the adjoining cottage which will accommodate another 2 people. We have found that this works very well for a larger family group or friends.

Notes on accommodation:
All provided and included in price: Electricity, heating, Wifi, cot (advise when booking). High chair (advise when booking), towels, bedlinen, Smart TV, Ipod dock. Disabled access (enquire for details), wood burning stove (free logs), fresh milk and wine on arrival.
Please enquire about babysitting (extra charge).
You will enjoy great privacy. The cottages are detached and 12m from the main house, with all windows facing the main house having obscured glazed.

Outside:
The cottages are on an 8 acres site of farmland which you are free to roam.
The cottage has its own private deck and fenced garden (dogs are allowed).
Private decking area with barbecue and outside furniture.

Location Perfect

Level access for wheelchair users. Wet room en-suite, again for a wheelchair user. Kitchen, full of utensils, cutlery, dishes etc. Ideal location, so peaceful. Cottage has everything that you need. Location also perfect for Falmouth, Truro, it’s almost central to everything. Milk and biscuits ready for you on arrival and a warm welcome from Kathryn.

The two bedroom cottage provides plenty of room with two large bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with a level access shower, which was exactly what we needed. The kitchen, dining and living room also provided a large, comfortable space with good quality equipment and very pleasant finish. All together a very nice cottage with excellent hosts !

A great cottage to explore Cornwall

We really love to stay at Higher Lidgey. I dont know how many times we visited Higher Lidgey, I think it was our 5th time. The cottage is surrounded by peaceful nature. For us it is the perfect location because everything is not far away. Falmouth, our "house beach" Maenporth Beach, the north coast, helford river... We are looking forward to come back in 2 years hopefully!
