This comfortable, stylish house sleeps twelve in four double and two twin bedrooms with ample room for relaxing and entertaining.
Built in 1897 and used as the parish vicarage until 2010, the house and garden have undergone a major programme of renovation to bring it up to the standards required for year round comfortable living. At the heart of the house is a very large, sociable kitchen and dining room, with an Everhot electric range, a sofa and armchairs. This room, like the three other downstairs living rooms, has a wood burning stove. A large south-facing living room adjoins the kitchen. From here there is access on to the terrace and garden. The television is in the vicar's former study. A further living room has a selection of local guide books and maps, board games and novels. There is a desk and two comfortable armchairs for reading in front of the wood burning stove.
The main rooms of the Old Vicarage all face south and the windows are large. When the sun shines - and since we moved into the house it feels as if the sun has shone almost every day - sunglasses worn inside don't seem inappropriate.
We added a conservatory on the east side of the house in order to better enjoy the views of Pill Creek. We think you would be hard pressed to tell this conservatory was not original to the Victorian house. The south-facing terrace has a large table and twelve chairs. At the rear of the house there is a further outdoor table and chairs by the barbecue area.
We often use this house for entertaining so it is very generously equipped with china, cutlery, glasses and corkscrews. The Everhot range cooker will be left ready for action and is not difficult to use but comes supplied with a manual in case of need. There is also a microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer. A downstairs shower room is convenient for hosing down after a day on the water. There is a second fridge freezer, essential for large groups, next to washing machine at the back of the house.
The six bedrooms are all generously sized and all have glorious views of the sea, the creek or the village. Our guests have commented that this is house where everyone can be convinced that their bedroom is the best one! The two twin rooms at the top share a bathroom with far reaching views down the Carrick Roads to St Mawes and beyond. On the first floor the bedroom looking out over Pill Creek has a four poster bed and ensuite shower room. There are two double rooms with sea views, a third with a view of the church and cottages beyond. There are two further family bathrooms on this floor.
The five bathrooms are supplied by two large hot water tanks which have never yet run cold, even when we had a very full house for our son's wedding.
Our days in Feock are usually spent outdoors but for indoor days we have a television with BT Vision and are lucky enough to enjoy superfast broadband at the house. There is a selection of board games available as well as a table tennis table. The large areas of flat lawn are ideal for badminton and boules. Nets and racquets are left in the porch.
Our dog enjoys her time in Feock but we would caution against bringing anything other than very well behaved dogs to the house. The newly planted hedges on the boundary are not dog-proof, nor is the ha-ha which separates the garden from our farmer neighbour's livestock.
We provide bed linen and towels for the house but ask you to bring your own beach towels please.
Our housekeeper will make everything ready for you and is available in case of a real emergency.

A beautiful place for a family get together

Lived up to all our expectations.
By Sue J. on 02-Sep-2019
The most perfect home for a family gathering. The grandchildren loved their rooms on the top floor, the adults spoilt for choice with all the different sitting areas and ( if the weather had been kinder to us) the garden perfect for outdoor fun. Such a cosy home and Haley and Mark made us feel so welcome. Thank you .
Family vacation in Cornwall
By Barbara D. on 18-Jul-2019
A year ago we booked this property for a special family vacation -- all our children and grandchildren gathered for my post-retirement trip. The Old Vicarage was everything we could have wished for -- it's beautiful home in a prime location. The property was immaculate and a lovely welcome spread was there on our arrival. As an American the north Vietnam art work with some anti-American rhetoric was interesting to say the least, but other than that the decor was wonderful, We spent most of our time in the solarium or at the table overlooking the backyard. Views were stunning -- especially from the top floor. It was a perfect setting for family being together on a once in a lifetime adventure, and we loved every moment of our time there. Thank you for sharing this amazing property with guests like us.

A spacious, extremely comfortable home set in beautiful surroundings with views to die for.

This was a perfect setting for my two sons and their respective families and myself (nine of us in total) to enjoy our first Christmas together in fifteen years.
We all had a wonderful time with enough room for us to spread out and enjoy the very comfortable and well equipped house and the idyllic setting.
Housekeepers Mark and Hayley were there to welcome us, and their friendly and extremely helpful attitude was the icing on the cake. Much fun and laughter was enjoyed by all. We would all love to live here permanently!
Thank you Mary and Robin, for letting us use your lovely home for a week, which we shall all remember for a very long time.
Fantastic getaway house for a big family!
By Jen D. on 29-Aug-2018
The Old Vicarage was exactly the holiday home we were looking for - and more! All the family came together, from various locations; Dubai, Yorkshire and London and we all had an amazing time. There was enough room for us all to spread out and still not tread on each other's toes. The gardens were perfect for letting the little ones run around and and the open plan kitchen dining room was wonderful to all sit around talking to the early hours and making meals for the masses. Mary and Robin were brilliant with all my questions about knives and food processors! And Hayley and Mark were excellent in getting us all set up and making the house beautiful. So many thanks indeed to the whole team!
A truly wonderful holiday home, we're already thinking about when we can come again :)

A House and Holiday to Remember
By William C. on 25-Jul-2018
We were a family party of six adults and four children visiting Feock to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary. The holiday had been much anticipated with our Grandsons calling it the mansion holiday. We were not disappointed. From the moment we drove in through the double white gates and parked in the oceans of space we knew we had made the right choice.
Mark was there to greet us and he explained the fundamentals of the kitchen (with the ever hot ovens) and the WiFi. The cream teas were much appreciated, as was the on-time delivery of supplies by Sainsbury’s.
We quickly got used to the size of the house and enjoyed having lots of space. All the rooms were extremely well presented and spotlessly clean. Beds were very comfortable although it did require the toss of a coin to decide who had the four poster. The boys took the bedrooms and bathroom on the top floor (much excitement there then).
Initially we did think that a second tv for the adults would have been good. By the end of the week we realised that we had watched virtually no tv having spent most of the in-house time in the kitchen -dining room and the conservatory.
The log-burning stoves proved very popular on a couple of chilly evenings (especially with the Dads).
Great use was made of the outside space with the main activities being football, cricket, house boules and house table tennis.
The frequent visits by mr and mrs pheasant gave us much pleasure and amusement. During the week, the cock pheasant lost all his tail feathers and the hen refused to cooperate.
On the final day, our Grandsons surprised us with a gift of a magnificent metalwork cock pheasant. We just had to name him Feock The Pheasant.
A wonderful memorable holiday was had by us all.
We wish to thank Hayley and Mark for presenting the house so wonderfully and Mary and Robin for sharing their home with us.
Beautiful building which is furnished to a high standard: a home not a holiday let.

A superb property, ideal location, want to go back.
By Anthony B. on 23-Aug-2017
We were welcomed with a cream tea by Hayley and Mark who also showed us round the property on arrival. The property is large, very well equipped, excellent location with views over a creek, a river and a church. Our grandchildren enjoyed the spacious gardens. All the family are looking forward to a return visit. May I suggest you include the Play Station games console on the amenities list.
Everything i hoped it would be for a family holiday to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary
By Christine W. on 18-Aug-2017
The Old Vicarage was the perfect location to celebrate our golden wedding with all the family. Son and daughter with spouses and 3 granddaughters aged 4, 11 and 14.
Haley and Mark were there as promised to introduce us to the house. Everything was spotless, and a lovely cream tea very welcome.
The weather could have been better, but that is not controllable by us. However, the girls were able to go surfing, kyacking ( on Pill creek), and really appreciated having their own space in the house - we adults did too!
Thank you to Mary and Robin for giving us the opportunity to stay in your beautiful house. We gathered skeletonise magnolia grandiflora leaves that we found in the garden, which the older 2 girls will help me spray, and do other "arty" things with when they come to stay with us later in the month.
Falmouth Maritime museum and The Eden Project were a real hit with the youngest, along with her parents.(We had visited both before)
We were all very sad it had to come to an end today.
A big thank you for making it possible.
