Everything we need
By Nikki on 30-Sep-2025The location, the amenities, the cleanliness, well… everything, really!!! We just had the most amazing holiday staying at Heron Bay lodge. It was perfect! The views from every room, the easy accessibility to the loch; the place is so quiet and feels secluded and yet Fort William town centre is within reach in 10 minutes! Hardly any light pollution so we enjoyed stargazing !! Just wonderful. The lodge is very well-equipped with everything we needed, and more! Thank you, Sharyn for the nice welcome pack of Highland goodies. And also the luxury toiletries you provided, amazing! I am converted now and even went to the Highland Soap Company factory to purchase some to take home. Heron Bay Holidays… just an amazing place to stay and very highly recommended. Would definitely stay here again and thank you, Sharyn for accommodating us! From Kate and family ( 31-2Sept )
What a fabulous place
By Yvette on 20-Apr-2025We’ve just returned home from a lovely week staying in Heron Bay lodge. What a fabulous place! From the minute we walked into the lodge it felt like home! Everything you could want was there from plenty of towels, a fully kitted out kitchen to a lovely welcome package including local fudge and jam! I have also never had such a fabulous shower in the bathroom! Wow! It was amazing! But you’ll have to go there yourself to find out what I’m talking about!! The views were stunning over the loch to the mountains beyond. We didn’t have the best of weeks with the weather, but when we returned each day a bit wet and cold it was so comforting to walk into the lodge and feel cosy. We will definitely be returning and hopefully next time the weather will be a bit kinder to us!!
Great swimming spot
By Beth on 10-May-2025Gorgeous location and very comfortable cottage. I booked this for my birthday because I wanted to be able to swim straight from the front door and was not disappointed! The loch is lovely and even on a bad weather day the view is beautiful and ever changing. I'm sure we'll be back ????
Beautiful
By Dar on 08-Nov-2025Beautiful, spacious accommodation with a fantastic view. Very well insualted - we were there in the Summer so it was actually quite hote but i think it would be cosy in the Winter. Short drive into Fort William, Ben Nevis etc., was a great base for local activities including climbing Ben Nevis. Comfy bed for stiff lets and the best showers in Scotland!
