House in Stronchreggan, Treslaig, Nr. Fort William, Scotland - A Single Storey House, Sleeping 6, With Tranquil And Stunning Views Of Ben Nevis And Loch Linnhe
Dalendrien is a single storey house, sleeping 6, stunningly positioned on its own peninsula on the shoreline of Loch Linnhe. a long sea inlet running from the Isle of Mull inland to the slopes of Ben Nevis, and sits on the quiet north shore of the loch just off the scenic road which runs from Fort William to the remote Ardnamurchan Peninsula. It nestles in three acres of grounds with shoreline and slipway, some 25 miles from Fort William and 8 miles north of the Corran Ferry at Ardgour. The house has deceptively spacious rooms which have magnificent views looking over the loch to the mountains of Glen Coe and Ben Nevis itself. The house is comfortably furnished with loch and mountain views from most rooms. The accommodation consists of 2 double bedrooms, 1 twin bedroom with wash basin, (a cot and extra folding bed for a child are available), spacious living/dining room with open fire, conservatory, and a large kitchen that is very well equipped.
Hi Nicki,
It’s been a few weeks since we went to Dalendrien and after getting back home we once again got caught up in the usual 9-5.
However, just to say thank you once again for a fantastic stay – Isobel loved the place, and the toys were brilliant – she didn’t play with any of her own all week she loved the ones there (and all the books!).
Her favourite thing was to go down to the loch every day and throw pebbles into the water – then occasionally we would walk up the glen and she would throw pebbles into the stream!
We also got to see the deer most nights as well which was extra special.
We are looking forward to visiting again soon.
Dalendrien is beautifully quiet and serene. We all enjoyed sitting every morning and evening looking at the views and waiting for the Deer to arrive! The property is extremely well equipped, we've only found one other that is as well equipped and that is in Crete! We were extremely lucky with the weather and had some warm sunny days - all in all - perfect
We would just like to let you know what a brilliant time we had at the bungalow. We had deer in the garden every day which was amazing. Also thank you for the card, bottle of champagne for our anniversary and biscuits. We went to the fish restaurant on the bay, it was a lovely night. I'm sure we will visit again as we love the area so much.
We stayed in Dalendrien with 4 adults and 2 small children (4 and 2 years old). The house itself is very well maintained, tidy, comfortable and very well equiped. The children loved to play on the rocky beach and with al the toys available on rainy days. The views from the living room, kitchen and bedooms are stunning and there is abundant wild life around the house. The rocky beach naar the house is perfect for a beach bbq or fire. Even chairs for comfy sitting on the beach are available. The pub (ardgour inn) at the Coran ferry a few Miles up the road, serves excellent food. We had a wonderful time and would love to come back.
Another enjoyable week staying here, and had the best ever snow for skiing, even though it was a tricky drive to get there.
Great to see the deer in the garden for the first time, and having snow made it very picturesque.
Fishing everyday, but most put back this time as too small.
Thank you Nicki again for letting us all stay in your fantastic property, and will always miss the view waking up in the morning.
Instant karma is the feeling you get when you first walk through the door of this amazing home. Yes, it is a home, comfortable, relaxing, peaceful and all of the conveniences anyone could ever need. My family and I could quite easily have spent the two weeks of our holiday there without setting foot out of the home and the land belonging to the property. There are however many great adventures in the nearby areas to take advantage of. Magnificent scenery, historical castles and monuments, wildlife in abundance, walks galore for both the unfit and those with bags of fitness energy. Did we manage to do all that we wanted to, no. So it looks like we shall have to return at some, hopefully sooner, later date.
