Set in a picture postcard village just a mile from the sandy beach and harbour of Gorran Haven on the South Coast of Cornwall, this spacious cottage is the perfect choice for families and groups of friends alike. Hillside is a period cottage which has been tastefully modernised whilst retaining it's charm. The Eden Project, Heligan and Mevagissey are all within easy reach. Head off to the beach, enjoy dining in the secluded rear garden or cosy up in front of the log burner - the choice is yours.Sleeps up to 8 including children

I Cannot Stress Enough How Helpful & Responsive Sharon Was
By Peter on 20-Jul-2025I cannot stress enough how helpful and responsive Sharon was. Everything was thought of to make our stay enjoyable and stress free. Nothing was too much trouble and any questions were answered almost instantly. Lovely spacious cottage in lovely village and a perfect base from where to explore some beautiful beaches, Heligan and Eden as well as the historic Mevagissey and Fowey.
We had a Great Stay at Hillside

Hillside Cottage is a Lovely Homely Place
By Pete on 29-Aug-2025Hillside Cottage is a lovely homely place with easy access to lovely beaches and attractions in and around Gorran. Sharon is an excellent host, being extremely proactive and responsive, providing local attractions and activities for us to try. I would definitely recommend Hillside Coattage to get away from it all and visit lots of lovely beaches and gardens etc.
Absolutely Loved the Cottage
By Maria on 12-Sep-2025Absolutely loved the cottage! Better than the pictures. Sharon was very responsive and helpful! She had great recommendations of activities we wanted to do around the area and kept us up to date with road closures. The cottage has loads of little spaces to relax in and we would definitely go back again! The road is very quiet so it’s the perfect place to be for a peaceful getaway and easy to get to other areas near by for activities. Would recommend for families and group trips!
Hillside Cottage is Absolutely Beautiful
By Cindy on 02-Jan-2026Hillside Cottage is absolutely beautiful. Very cosy with lots of charm and character. The kitchen is well equipped and I was able to cook for 7 people with no problems. There was always lots of hot water so there were no problems with everyone showering/bathing. Sharon is a fantastic host. Nothing is too much trouble. We were able to access the house early which was greatly appreciated after a long drive. She also checked in with us to make sure that everything was ok and also towards the end of our stay with a reminder of the check out procedure. As we stayed during the Xmas period Sharon had put up the Christmas tree and had also decorated the house which was such a lovely welcome. There was also a welcome basket of scones, jam and cream and some non alcoholic drinks which were lovely. Gorran Churchtown is a lovely village and so peaceful. We also had the pleasure of hearing the church bells on news years day. We would highly recommend Hillside cottage and also Sharon as host.
