Description
The Long Barn is a detached, single storey cottage of traditional Cornish granite, with many original stone features. It is all on one level - no stairs - so is ideal for guests with young families, or for those less mobile. It has an open plan lounge/dining area with a log burning stove, comfy seating for 4 people and smart TV. Dining table and chairs. The modern fully equipped kitchen has a halogen hob, with electric oven below, dishwasher, washer/drier, microwave and fridge with ice box, and the cupboards are well stocked with all the equipment you need for your home from home.The 2 bedrooms are at one end of the cottage. The romantic master bedroom features a four poster bed and patio doors lead onto your garden space. Just the place for a well earned "sun downer"; or breakfast 'al fresco'. The second bedroom has two 3' twin beds.
At the other end of the cottage is the bathroom, with a full sized bath and a separate walk in corner shower. There is W.C., washbasin, shaver point and heated towel rail. The Long Barn is centrally heated throughout.
Free WiFi., communal freezer, hairdryer, iron, ironing board, cot, stair gate, and high chair.
Outside:
Seating area with garden table and chairs, sun umbrella and barbeque.
Use of on site playbarn with table football, toys, books and games for all ages. Free use of the contents of the Beach Hut with surf boards, buckets and spades and everything you need for the beach.

The owners, Liz and Ian live on site and are on hand to welcome you to Tregathenan as well as to help you make the very best of your visit to South West Cornwall. Tregathenan is also home to the owners' many animals, including ducks, chickens, geese and a small herd of alpacas.
Guests are welcome to join the alpaca walk on Wednesday afternoons. Booking essential.

A Lovely Stay

We've had fantastic beach weather and thanks to the "Beach Hut", Geoege has found a live of body boarding! The Playbarn was well used, and heloung to feed tge animals was tge icung on the cake! We'll be back!
Another Wonderful Holiday!

As for the bluebells - all I can say is wow! Another wonderful holiday in the Long Barn - a home from home, and glorious weather too. Thank you as always to Liz and Ian for everything.

We met and fed the alpacas and other animals which was an absolute delight. The cottages are well placed for the local beaches, pubs, restaurants and tourist sites but far enough away to be private and restful. Thoroughly recommended. Thanks Liz and Ian.
Excellent Stay in the Long Barn

Great location for all the local amenities and the lovely county of Cornwall. Great hosts, Liz and Ian, could not do enough for us during our stay. Wonderful Quiet Accommodation

Liz & Ian were superb hosts & the cottages are in a wonderful quiet location, yet only a short journey to many places of interest. The cottage had a whole host of useful things & they run the place in a totally COVID safe way. It was a delight to stay here.
