Description
Yew Tree Barn is a stylish conversion of an old 17th century barn on the Welsh Borders, within easy reach of the Wye Valley, the Forest of Dean and the Brecon Beacons National Park. High ceilings, spacious rooms and beautiful furnishings make the building feel warm and welcoming, so your time here will be as much of a treasured memory as any other part of your holiday. The three-bedroom property has space for up to seven people, with a layout that makes it perfect for families or friends. Yew Tree Barn is set in a courtyard with the owner's farmhouse on a working dairy farm where we also make our delicious Kelsmor ice cream.The entrance hall has a slate floor, a double-height ceiling and a wall of windows that flood the interior of the house with natural light.
Off this hall on the ground floor are the bedrooms, consisting of a master bedroom with a king-size bed and an ensuite shower room, the second bedroom with a king-size bed, floor to ceiling windows, and a door to the patio, and the third bedroom with a double bed and a 3ft single bed also with floor to ceiling windows and a door to the patio.
From the hall, stairs lead to the first floor and the large, vaulted open-plan kitchen, dining and living space ideal for socialising. Off the kitchen is a utility room containing the washing machine & tumble drier.
Large windows allow light to pour into the barn, making it a very airy space. Doors from the living area lead to a small balcony where you can sit with a coffee or a glass of wine, watching the cows in the paddock, the rabbits playing, and the sun setting over Garway Hill.
Yew Tree Barn has its own patio with a picnic bench, sun loungers and a shared garden with a small lake.
The house opens onto 23-acre Garway Common and is within walking distance of the friendly Garway Moon Inn.
