Set in the delightful Eden Valley, this charming, stone built cottage offers accommodation of great character with a cosy oak beamed interior. Grooms Cottage is set in a quiet village location,the pub is 200 yards from the cottage and serves excellent meals.
The historic market town of Appleby is just 3 miles, it has individual shops, excellent inns and restaurants. There is a Boots chemist and a Post office with ATM. A farm food shop selling local produce. The famous Settle to Carlisle railway runs through Appleby Station. You can park your car at the station. Take in the beautiful scenery through the Eden Valley and the Famous Ribble head viaduct.
The Eden Valley is very popular with walkers and ornothologists, also offers mountain biking pony treking tennis golf and fishing.
Dufton Pike and Highcup Nick are part of the Pennine way and are some of the many lovely walks in the Eden Valley.
The Lake District UNESCO heritage site and Yorkshire Dales are with in easy reach.
The cottage has an open plan kitchen and lounge with a multi fuel stove . The bathroom has a walk in shower toilet and heated towel rail.
A cosy bedroom with a comfortable double bed a wardrobe and chest of draws. All linen and towelsvare provided.
The garden is a traditional cottage garden with a patio and seating area. A peaceful place to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening.
