Grooms cottage

By Susan Marr on 30-Apr-2021

This is a delightful cottage situated in a pretty village. The cottage is a perfect base to explore the Eden Valley and also the Lake District. It has everything you need for your stay and is immaculate inside and outside. The garden is extremely well kept and a delight to relax in after a long day walking. There is a local pub and a bakery which we visited during our stay.
Margaret left some essential supplies ( chocolate and wine !) and lots of coal for the stove. She is very welcoming
Highly recommended and will certainly visit again

Grooms cottage is a beautiful and very comfortable cottage. It is beautifully decorated and appointed and very well maintained. The garden is a delight and the little patio are a real sun trap. We spent an idyllic week there relaxing and visiting the local area.

First time Lake District

By Mr Bill Tomlinson on 03-Aug-2020

Groom's Cottage is a beautiful little cottage, within a very neat front garden, in very quiet surroundings that has everything anyone would need for a short break. Mrs Brown's care, attention to detail and homely touches (and welcoming gifts) made for a lovely stay. The cottage is centrally located for some of the Lake District's major attractions and Penrith is a short drive away. All in all a beautiful cottage well worth the money.
