Pleasant Hill occupies an ultra-private, elevated position with far reaching panoramic views towards hills and countryside beyond Milngavie. Milngavie is not only a lovely, pedestrianised village but also embarkation point for the famous West Highland Way. It has been ranked as Scotland's most beautiful mainland town centre and one of Glasgow's most sought-after semi-urban/semi-rural areas. The town itself has a wide variety of shops, restaurants, deli's and bars along with essential businesses. Within easy reach of Pleasant Hill guests can play golf at Dougalston, Milngavie, Clober, Hilton Park, Douglas Park all within a few miles of the villa. Nearby Mugdock Country Park and Milngavie Reservoir are also popular destinations with tourists and walkers. We used the house for a weekend break for a group of 20, (10 adults and 10 kids). Chris, our host, was super helpful from our initial booking, right through the planning of our trip and our stay. Our family group stayed in the house over Christmas. We had a fantastic time and were left wanting for nothing. Chris and his wife were very attentive and even over the festive period made themselves available. The house was cosy and very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub looking out over the lights of Milngavie. I’m hoping we will get to stay at the house in the future. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Nous avons séjourné 5 jours pour notre renouvellement de voeux a pleasant hill.la maison est très bien agencée. il y a tout ce qu'il faut pour les grandes familles.le top de cette location c'est l'accueil de chris et frances.ils nous ont aidé a tout organiser avant notre arrivée et sur place ils ont contribué a rendre notre séjour inoubliable .Un grand merci a eux

True to its name Pleasant Hill Cottage had been a memorable experience. We’ve moved from Glasgow to Southampton in 2018. Soon after our dear son gave us wonderful news of his wedding in Glasgow. A year to choose a suitable place for family to stay and convenient enough for travel between Newton Mearns and Milngavie where most of our family resides. During our search came across many beautiful rental homes/farm houses. However, none allowed any sort of gathering or party. Disappointed and frustrated, one evening we came across Pleasant Hill. Pictures looked assuring. I contacted Chris. From first communication, it was clear this will be perfect. Chris is not only a dream host, he’s hands on anytime I felt doubtful or came across an issue. We'd met once briefly, but he’s been available throughout via emails/ phone. Every detail explained in the beginning and then week before our arrival, a detailed email refreshing on what was or could be available. It’s a busy place, always booked. So, Chris happily offered his own home if we needed any stock / stuff to deliver prior to our arrival . Chris was present on our arrival with his charming beaming smile and took all the luggage to allocated rooms. No airs n graces . We needed covered space in the garden in case of drizzling. In no time, Chris put up very clean Gazebo and quickly sorted out extra chairs for guests. We’ve had some experience in the past where hosts are not visible or present. Once you’ve made payment, you are left on your own. But, at Pleasant Hill, it’s been a wonderful experience. Chris and his beautiful wife Frances are an absolute team . Only regret I have is, I’d cut down our stay to just 4 nights. Should’ve spread the festivities bit more . Still it had been an amazing experience, pleasant in every way. All our guests had a very good time. Chris & Frances, thanks a million. Wish you all the best always, you both will remain in sweet memories. ️

A notre arrivée, tout était prêt, les chambres agencées pour répondre exactement a nos besoins. Au delà de leur acceuil chaleureux qui a dépassé nos attentes, Chris et frances ont été de très bons guides pour notre séjour avec leurs précieux conseils sur les endroits a ne pas manquer. I genuinely could not write a more glowing review for this host if i tried. booking with chris will be one of the best decisions you make this year. he is a very friendly, welcoming and informative host who has went above and beyond to ensure we had the most incredible stay with him. I would recommend him and this property 10/10 365 days a year. All i ask is that you remember to take enough pictures so you remember how great of a time you had!!
