Overview
Description
BrynIfor is a characterful Welsh holiday cottage that offers two reception rooms, both with open fires, and a kitchen diner overlooking the gardens and pond. Upstairs are four bedrooms (two doubles and two singles). The cottage is 4 miles from both New Quay and Llangrannog and so is ideally situated for exploring this stunning heritage coastline. Seals and Dolphins are regularly spotted along this coast. You can walk through the woods and along pretty lanes to Cwmtydu (2.5 miles) where you can pick up the All Wales Coast path and further explore this stunning coast. In the cottage itself the main lounge has a period open fireplace and two comfy leather settees. A widescreen (smart) TV, DVD, docking station, and CD stereo are all provided. The second lounge (the piano room) has an old but recently tuned piano as well as a TV, a period open fireplace and lots of books and games for those lazy days in. There is also free Wi-Fi access throughout.
The well-equipped kitchen diner overlooks the gardens, patio and pond. There is a dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer and ceramic-top cooker, and the dining area has a beautiful old range with an open fire too. There is also a washing machine in the separate utility room.
Upstairs are two double bedrooms (one being a four-poster) and two single bedrooms, with comfortable mattresses and antique furniture throughout. There is a TV in one double bedroom. The bathroom, with stunning countryside views, has a lovely bath and separate power shower.
Outside, the cottage has extensive fully landscaped gardens and a large furnished patio, barbecue and amazing rural views. The lovely gardens, with a pretty wildlife pond, are full of wild birds and visiting wildlife. A gate seperates the patio and side gardens from the main pond garden. There is even a large, covered gazebo with a bench so that you can sit and watch the wildlife or even barbecue in any weather.
The cottage has direct access to a seven-acre meadow where you are free to wander and meet the grazing sheep. The absence of light pollution ensures stunning sunsets and breathtaking night skies on clear nights.
BrynIfor is fully centrally heated, making it an ideal destination for a self-catering break in West Wales at any time of year. Bed linen and towels are provided

Step back in time to a beautiful place!
By Lynne on 18-May-2026We stayed here for 4 nights, it was lovely. Bit surprised when we walked in to a time warp! But it’s just lovely- immaculate and really welcoming. So old fashioned but also has everything you need for a great stay. Beds are really comfy, plus well equipped kitchen and the best outside areas. The gardens are lovely and sitting in the meadow lets you truly chill out. Need the sat nav to find the house but its location is perfect if you need to get away from crazy life and it’s only 15 minutes to great pubs and eateries. Absolutely loved it.

Fabulous home from home
By Cathryn, Ben, Angus & Ruby the dog on 06-Jul-2024We have all had a lovely stay. The week flew by too quickly. Fantastic walks, beaches and dolphin spotting at New Quay. Thank you for the lovely welshcakes & milk. The cottage is really well equipped and great to come home to after a busy day
Lovely stay
By The Goodmans on 27-Jul-2024We have had a lovely stay in Brynifor and were blessed with sunshine for much of the week. A real boon! We had several lovely walks, one from Moylegrove village (starting near the top corner going down the hill) which takes you along a flowing streamside down through the trees to the beach and then along the coast southwards to the arch. Also the walk along the gorge of the river Teifi from Cardigan wildlife centre is spectacular. We recommend Penbryn Beach and the café at Llangrannog.
Very Comfortable with lovely garden
By Graham, Carol & Family on 03-Aug-2024Despite the up & down weather we have had a lovely week staying in your cottage. Very comfortable & lovely garden. The period cottage was appealing to us all and nice to see furniture suited well. We all enjoyed fish’n’chips at New Quay and a meal at the brewery. Sadly no dolphins this time! A great walk from the cottage to Cwmtydu, would recommend. Thanks
The most relaxing holiday ever!
By Louise, David & Family on 17-Aug-2024I can honestly say that this has been the most relaxing holiday we have ever had as a family all together. The weather wasn’t that amazing but who cares when you can sit and watch the birds, play the piano and have an open fire! What treat. We did get to swim in the sea down at Cei Bach which was lovely and quiet and the waves were quite big! Walked down to the coves and saw seals, exciting! Would love to come back next year. Thanks your house is beautiful!
