It’s so relaxing here in Beadnell, it’s hard to know how to tell you! I’m sure you can see that Captain Jack’s is just fabulous, either as your own escape or for your family, but let me tell you what can be found nearby.
You really can walk to the beach, passing the newly refurbished village shop on the way, with its brand new café.
Just around the corner from Captain Jack’s is The Courtyard, perhaps for the perfect breakfast. Just further on is The Craster Arms, opposite The Salt Water Café, and if you fancy fine dining, Beadnell Towers is just there too! You might leave quite full!
At the other end of Beadnell is The Landing Café, and this is just next to the harbour beach where it’s all action for swimmers, wind surfers, divers in the bay, and lots of sandcastles!
If you feel like leaving Beadnell for a while, Seahouses is just to the north, but a bit further north takes you to the magnificent Bamburgh Castle. And yet to the south there is Dunstanburgh Castle. If you look for Howick Sands on some kind of magic map you can park there and do the beautiful coastal walk past The Bathing House, and then on to Craster and Dunstanburgh – I challenge you! And the little bay at Howick is great for a swim.
Not much further are the beautiful Alnwick Gardens, and beyond, well, the whole of Northumberland. It’s really something, and we would love to welcome you!

By Gillian on 06-Jul-2025This is our third stay at Captain Jack’s and would highly recommend The house is in a great location with village amenities on your doorstep. The beautiful coastline surrounding the village is within walking distance. The house is very clean and well furnished. The welcome bag was generous and the fresh flowers were a lovely touch. Thank you Sarah and Jack - lovely owners !
Attention to details made the difference

A fantastic welcome pack was included with eggs, milk, a bottle of Prosecco ( which was really appreciated) and many other items. The location is great being just a few metres from 3 eating places, breakfast next door at the courtyard cafe was great. Lots of information on the local area was given. We had a great stay. Thank you

By Jennifer on 23-Mar-2025A beautiful home right in the centre of Beadnell- a 30 second walk to the Craster Arms! Couldn’t ask for a better location and the property is stunning. So many lovely finishing touches that made it feel like a home away from home. Toys for children if needed and a baby bath are also supplied. The kitchen is well equipped so you don’t need to worry about taking a thing! There was also a lovely welcome basket with milk and breakfast bits. We can’t wait to go back!
