“A really wonderful cottage- even better than the pictures! Felt wonderful as soon as we walked into the garden, very peaceful, yet so close to the town. Very well equipped with all things often missing in S/C accommodation. There was a very generous Yorkshire Welcome Hamper, and even dog treats for our westie Bertie! Everywhere was spotless, beautifully furnished, and lovely homely touches. We loved the secluded terrace area to eat and the local birds kept us entertained, as the garden is a really natural one, very pretty and perfect after a day exploring Pickering and the local area. Loads to see and do, especially for train lovers, but also anyone who enjoys the feeling of a proper market town with character.. We really hope to return,.. Thank you Heather for a wonderful visit.”

“A lovely little cottage very close to the centre of the picturesque town of Pickering. All the creature comforts of home are provided and off-road parking at the rear was a great benefit. Provides a perfect base to explore the North Yorkshire area. With York itself less than an hours drive you are not short of things to do or not do (depending upon your mood). The town sits at one end of the North York Moors Railway and has a fascinating castle ruin to explore as well a wide variety of small but interesting shops and restaurants.”

“Fantastic place to stay and a great location. I've just got back home from my second visit to 17 Hallgarth and I've got to say that it's the cleanest place I've ever stayed in. There is a lovely welcome pack waiting for you on arrival and even something for my dog Belle. The garden is fully enclosed and safe for your pooch. I will definitely be returning again.”

“Heather thinks of everything to make your stay comfortable. The house is located in the centre of a Pickering, with interesting shops and excellent restaurants, but in a quiet street. The pretty, enclosed garden was loved by my terriers. The generous welcome hamper plus a large collection of books, CDs, toys and games are examples of the thoughtful touches provided. We have booked to return to this perfect holiday home.”

“Superb accommodation! A lovely hideaway, fully equipped, parking, good wi-fi, our dog loved the garden - all seconds from the centre of this lovely town. Castle, church, steam railway, river walks, shops, etc. Pickering is about midway between York and Whitby, ideal for exploring the moors and the coast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A well-deserved 5 stars. Thank you Heather!”
