COWSLIP COTTAGE, LEVISHAM - Your Peaceful Eascape in the North York. Moors.Nestled in the heart of the timeless Yorkshire village of Levisham, complete with manicured village greens, surrounded by pretty stone houses. Cowslip cottage offers a warm, welcoming retreat surrounded by sweeping moorland, big skies and stunning walks from the door. Whether you are seeking peaceful relaxation, outdoor adventure, walking, cycling, horse riding or a homely base for exploring the North York Moors, this cottage provides comfort, character and a true sense of escape.
Cowslip cottage is a well-equipped cottage within a courtyard, a large country garden, roaming chickens and the occasional visiting lambs, plenty of off-road parking and seating areas to enjoy the sunshine and birdsong.
Whatever the season, guests will find Cowslip cottage carefully prepared, warm and welcoming. The cottage benefits from full central heating, a king-sized bed, a single bed, a bathroom with a shower over bath, underfloor heating and towels. The kitchen is fully equipped washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer.
On arrival, guests are greeted with fresh flowers, fresh bread, yummy home baking, free-range eggs from our chickens, and milk. We aim to make your holiday begin the moment you arrive, so even a short break feels like a real escape!

Just what we needed
By Bill on 10-May-2014The location is very special and Primrose Cottage was ideal. It was very clean and had everything we needed, and will recommend to others. Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Pet-friendly, Sightseeing, Age 55+, Romantic Getaway.

The cottage is a lovely homely cosy place to spend time relaxing. the additional touches of fresh home made bread / tea/ coffee/ milk / home made cake / complimentary cooked breakfast and lovely cosy towelling robes made it all the more special. We will return.

All I can say is I was really surprised, the cottage was great, we had fresh eggs, fresh homemade bread and cakes. The cottage was spotless. We have horses so it was lovely when we walked past the stables to see 3 horses one with a foal, our little girl loved it ! The village pub was really good we had a lovely meal.( make sure you ring and book if you want food it gets very busy ). The cottage is situated in the perfect spot, near the railway, near Dalby Forest, Whitby, Pickering there are lovely walks. Heather and Micheal were fantastic hosts we couldn't of asked for more. We have already booked to go again!

The cottage had all we needed and the owners were very helpful and even left us some milk, cake and bread. What more could you ask for The small village has its own pub serving real ales and there are several walks you can do without even getting in the car. The Station is a 1.5 mile walk and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway is great with many old trains that bring back memories for us oldies.We used this to go to Goathland and did a walk around that area before returning on the train. Lovely area of Yorkshire - well worth a visit
Cosy clean cottage

Thank you Heather and Michael for the freshly baked bread, cake, and other useful items. We enjoyed walks from the door, visiting the coast, and loved the pub a few steps from the door serving delicious food. Thanks again Helen and John Nottm
Great place, clean and tidy. Ideally situated for great walks and drives to the coast .
