Autumn break in Cherry Tree Cottage

By Shauna E on 03-Oct-2018

Always an excellent holiday. The location is perfect. The cottage is the perfect size for us as a family. This was our fourth stay. The quality of the facilities is high and they are regularly updated. We appreciated the new smart tv this year! Already planning next years trip.

Wonderful, windy stay during storms Ali and Bronagh

By RJOK2 on 03-Oct-2018

Had another great stay at Croft Acre Cottages on beautiful Gower, mainly for work, but managed to get lots of dog-walking on the beaches in as well. Fantastic views of the ocean waves from storms Ali and Bronagh from the big dining room window doors. Jitu was extremely helpful and accommodating, even when I managed to get my departure date mixed up and left a day later than I had booked.

Superb Relaxing Stay

By Anthony C on 09-Aug-2018

Stayed in Fennel Cottage, for nine nights at the end of June.

The Cottage was delightful with a garden over looking Port Eyenon Beach. The Cottage was very comfortable with 4 bedrooms sleeping 8. It was fully equipped with everything needed for a self catering stay!

The house itself was spacious and modern inside with a lounge diner on the first floor with a balcony looking out to sea across the Bristol Channel. The whole arrangement of Cottages were all different in various shapes and sizes, but all were immaculately maintained and cleaned.

The facilities Management were excellent, always on hand to answer any question and give advice on local amenities, without being over intrusive.

The Cottages are set in the most beautiful village with a coffee house, surf shop, convenience store, Pub, takeaway or eat in Fish and Chip shop and a wonderful Restaurant called the Smugglers!

These Cottages have been an amazing find due to the fact that they provide modern spacious accommodation in a stunning village setting, virtually on the Beach.

For anybody seeking a totally relaxing holiday in a home from home then this should be your first choice!!!

Many thanks to the owner and staff of these splendid Cottages, keep up the good work and see you in the Autumn for a return visit!!

Rickyard Bed & Breakfast. Croft Acre Cottages

By Brain W on 01-Aug-2018

We stayed 6 nights on B&B basis at the Rickyard. Excellent room in good decorative order with attentive helpful hosts ready to help with any questions or requests. No noise from passing traffic as property situated away from road. TV and broadband provided. Plenty of storage space in room and comfortable bed. Sufficient accessible power points for charging mobiles etc. Good bathroom with shower over. Delicious breakfast served individually at time chosen by guest. Close to beach, pub and restaurant plus fish and chip shops. Secure off road parking on site. Very enjoyable stay and would stay again.

Bramley Cottage

By Stacy R on 17-Jul-2018

The most pristine and beautiful accommodation I have ever stayed in. Had a lovely chat with the proprietor, Mr Grove, who was a genuinely lovely man. The team work tirelessly to maintain the impeccable standards and it certainly shows! Beyond impressed! Definitely deserves every one of the 5 stars it has been given.

Superb self catering cottage overlooking the beach!

By Smartie475 on 26-Jun-2018

We stayed in Maize Cottage for a week at the end of May, there were 3 adults and 4 children, there was ample room, the whole cottage being very comfortably furnished. The cottage is very well equipped with hand and bath towels, hand soap, loo rolls, washing up soap, dishwasher tablets, tea towels, oven gloves, etc. Plenty of crockery, cutlery, glassware etc. 2 fridges and a deep freeze, washer/drier. We had our own garden ideal for bbqs/family meals in the evening We had the most magnificent view over the beach of Port Eynon, only a 2 minute walk away, all level ground, the binoculars were a thoughtful touch too! Our son, wife and daughter were in Apricot Cottage, only a few steps behind Maize and our daughter and family were in their caravan in the camp site, again only 5/6 minute walk away so we had the most wonderful family holiday altogether, all the 8 grandchildren (10 and under) wanted to do was go rock pooling, play on the wonderful sandy beach and in the sea (gentle waves) and then wait in the fort that the dads had built for them for the tide to come in and wash it all down! The weather was great too, a real added bonus! Port Eynon is such a lovely little village with 2 good pubs and fish and chip shops, there are lovely walks all around and we had the most fantastic time! Jitu and his wife Anu are very friendly and extremely helpful and we would most definitely go back again!

Location , Location , Location

By Rob M on 06-Jun-2018

Barley Cottage is so close to the beach & dunes, you can hear some wonderful visitor soundbites from the cafes & carparks nearby. We'd imagined a quick jump over the wall to these dunes, but found there's no direct access. However a 2 min walk isn't a long way - even with impatient children. It was great to just 'pop' down for a kite fly or a jump in the sea; it didn't have to be a massive expedition. The accommodation itself in excellent condition & amply provided with consumables such as kitchen+loo roll & dishwasher tablets (the devil is in the detail). An inspiration were the binoculars - perfect for sea shore/bay gazing. We'd go back in a heart beat.

Stunning views, great location, totally relaxing

By Jo H on 04-Jun-2018

We spent a week in Fennel Cottage which overlooks the stunning Port Eynon bay. It's hard to know who enjoyed the vacation more, my family (husband, 15 year old daughter, adult niece and myself) or our puppy, who was ecstatic, on cloud 9 (dogs are very well catered for in the area)! The accommodation was great, clean, well presented, well equipped and spacious. The Ship Inn nearby had live music all weekend which was an added bonus and yet the music couldn't be heard inside Fennel Cottage if you didn't want to participate. The enclosed back garden leading off a downstairs bedroom was ideal for our puppy to go in and out safely at his leisure. The wifi isn't great but if you are staying here you will probably be spending your time out and about on stunning walks, on the beach and exploring the area anyway. Jitu and Anu were friendly and helpful hosts. Would definitely return.

I would highly recommend this house and the host who runs it. It was spotless when we arrived and the host was very laid-back about 11 of us staying for a weekend. All facilities (six bedrooms, dining room, living room, bathrooms and kitchen) were perfect for a large group. There is dedicated parking for 3 cars which was adequate for our group at least. All in all, a very smooth weekend, thanks!
