This charming single-storey, spacious cottage has been tastefully converted from a traditional 18th century milking parlour. Situated down a narrow country lane with views overlooking fields, the cottage has a large, enclosed garden facing west and enjoys full sunshine all day. Visitors also have full use of a further 2 acres which are beautifully landscaped with an orchard and herbaceous borders. The cottage has its own drive and plenty of off road parking. The interior is tastefully furnished with both modern and antique furniture and the paintings are either from Penny's studio or by her friends. The sitting room has two comfy settees, a cosy wood burner and French windows opening out onto a terrace with lovely views. The spacious kitchen/diner is open plan with ample crockery and cooking equipment. The bedrooms and bathroom are large and stylish and the whole building has a Mediterranean atmosphere of space, warmth and tranquillity. A well-behaved dog is welcome. Outside there is a patio with barbeque and the well-maintained garden has a lawn smooth enough for a game of croquet which, along with tennis racquets and surf boards are all in the little garden shed.
Penny is a working artist and has her studio at Tregonebris where she paints and sells her work. Visitors are welcome to call in and browse. For further information please contact Penny by phone or 'email owner' below
Lovely, spacious, quiet cottage with beautiful large garden & great location.

We had a fabulous Christmas in this warm, cosy cottage, despite the awful weather. Penny was a delightful host, who had thought of everything - the cottage was very well equipped. It was also surprisingly spacious and the bed in one of the rooms was huge and extremely comfortable. Our dog was also delighted with the huge garden where she had plenty of room for exercise. We will definitely be back.
An excellent comfortable base from which to explore the Penwith Peninsula.

The owners Penny and Simon live next door and made us feel most welcome. The cottage was perfect and had everything you would need. The large garden is ideal for dogs and children. We visited in November but because of the heating system and first class insulation we never felt chilly. The location is great. Really peaceful and quiet yet within a few hundred yards of the A30 Lands End road so its easy to get to any of places you might wish to visit. There's some excellent walking in the locality. We enjoyed a great morning walk to the ancient settlement at Carn Euny for example. We also visited Sennen Cove, Mousehole, Chun Castle and Quoit, St. Ives and Cape Cornwall. We've stayed in a number of places as we love it down here but this was the best. Highly recommended.
Tranquil , spacious fully equipped characterful property
Perfect getaway- from- it -all location. Very close to some stunning beaches and picturesque villages. Very friendly welcome from the owners. Some great walks to historique stone--age sites nearby . Would definitely highly recommend for couples or smaller families .

A Cottage with the "Country Living" touch in Beautiful area of Cornwall
By Samuel B. on 11-Aug-2016
Drive to an ancient, beautiful area of Cornwall, find your internet shopping already there in a lovely cottage you reach down a country lane. Sit and relax as the smell of Astrantia flowers drifts through the living room..there they are in a little vase arranged under a beautiful seascape painting. Then wander into the kitchen and tuck into the fresh cream tea left to welcome you... Our stay at Dairy Cottage was perfect. We were a family of 5 with children aged 5, 3 and a 4 month old baby. There was a cot set up for our baby on arrival. The huge garden area accessible but enclosed was the biggest reason we picked the cottage over others and we weren't disappointed. We borrowed a body board from the shed so that even mummy could have her turn "surfing" at Porthcurno beach. Our 5 year old begged us every night to let him play croquet (also available in shed) and we rootled through reams and reams of books and brochures and history hidden away in a pretty little desk in the living room that help us decide our itinerary for the holiday. There was also an entire library available including Poldark series (no time to read though!). Considering that well-behaved pets are welcome at this property we were happily surprised to find it very clean on arrival. On our first day we headed for Marazion and had a lovely time at St Michael's Mount. We had a boat trip and on return watched a little carnival procession then let the children play pirates at a weatherbeaten public play area. We had a delicious lunch with superb views at Chapel Rock Cafe. There was plenty to do even on rainy days e.g Falmouth Museum. Our kids had a soft spot for Mousehole after watching a film about the "Mousehole Cat" at Falmouth Museum and spent hours on a small patch of sand by the harbour filling a hole with water from the sea. We also loved Tregwainton Garden (National Trust).. Slightly nearer to the cottage we visited the Merry Maidens stone circle. We were the only family visiting it at the time! We have left with many great memories, our baby's first holiday passed all too quickly and the feeling that there would be so much more we could do if we had longer!
Beautiful peaceful cottage with lots of character and great base for exploring the area!

We stayed in the cottage during the School holidays, and it was so lovely to have some a nice peaceful place to return to during the busy summer months. It was extremely well equipped, I can't think of anything that we needed and couldn't find. You have your own private garden, and also Penny lets you use her garden too, the kids loved running around it. The cottage itself has so much character and is so homely, I could happliy live there! We also got cream tea, and wine on arrival, which was great. The location was also great, perfect for exploring that part of cornwall. Penzance, Mousehole, Sennan, St Ives, Marazion are all easily accessible. We loved the beaches in Sennan Cove and Porthcurno. They are both very close, and lovely sandy beaches. We did have a bit of rain too, but managed to find lots to do. Penzance has a lovely old fashioned cinema, and we visited the telegraph museum and a mine museum. We also visited Paradise Park in Hayle, and this is great for kids. My favourite was visiting St Michael's Mount in Marazion (the town itself is also great to explore). Penzance itself has a number of large supermarkets, which is so handy. There are also local smaller shop in Sennan Cove which we visited a few times, and has a lot in there (it is next to a great fish and chip shop - which was handy too). We preferred to do our own shop, but Penny did say she was happy to take in a supermarket delivery, so this is another option. I would definitely recommend staying in this cottage, it was perfect for our family of four and a great place to explore the area!

We have just returned home from our second holiday at Dairy Cottage. This year, the weather was even better than last year, which just added to our enjoyment of this lovely, welcoming cottage. Warm and cosy, with everything you could possibly need. The benefit of a holiday before the 1st May meant that we could walk our dog on some fabulous beaches, such as Sennen Cove, but in the evenings our dog still had time and energy for a great game, racing around the beautiful gardens with the resident and very hospitable dog, Poppy. None of us wanted to come home!Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Pet-friendly, Sightseeing, Age 55+, Romantic Getaway.

If you are in need of comfort and relaxation in a beautiful old cottage, look no further! Dairy Cottage is tasteful and unpretentious; comfortable sofas and beds, antique furniture, and Penny's excellent sea paintings on the walls reminding you of the beautiful part of Cornwall you're in! We also loved the book selection and decent cookery books. Everything was well thought out and equipped. Outside a lovely garden set in gentle rural countryside. Perfectly positioned for fantastic beaches, walking, and good eating places. If you can ever have enough of the great outdoors, St. Ives, Mousehole, etc. are close by. So it wasn't just the bottle of wine and baked goodies we found on arrival that warmed our hearts, the whole place just puts you in good spirits ready to enjoy every bit of your holiday whatever the weather!
