By Mike M on 26-May-2025Beautifully finished property at end of cul-de-sac on private road with its own parking yet only minutes walk to Skipton High Street. Owners have excellent online guides to property and locality. Highly recommended for someone wanting quality accommodation in quiet location.
The apartment was perfect
By Sarah D on 10-May-2025The apartment was perfect and had everything you could possibly need. Julie the host was amazing and contacted us throughout our stay to ensure we had everything we needed. It’s conveniently located near to the High Street and town centre with dedicated parking outside the property. We had drinks in The Boat House Bar, The Woolly Sheep Inn, and Sound Bar which had a Northern Soul event on. We ate in The Royal Shepherd Inn and The Two Sisters Bar & Kitchen and the food was really good. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants in Skipton so you will never be thirsty or hungry! We did a boat ride along the Skipton Basin Canal with Pennine Cruisers and enjoyed feeding the ducks. We caught a bus to Grassington for the day and it was only £3 each way and much easier than driving. We had lunch in The Devonshire which I believe is called The Drovers Arms in All Creatures Great and Small tv programme. We met a couple from San Francisco in here and they visited as part of Yorkshire Dales Tour. We purchased some gifts from the many shops and it was lovely to see pottery wares from Moorcroft Pottery, Moorland Pottery and Emma Bridgewater which all manufactured in our hometown Stoke on Trent. I would definitely recommend Weavers Rest and their Mulberry Cottage in Haworth. We would stay here again if we returned to Skipton as there was so much to do and see that we didn’t manage to fit in during our 3 night stay.
Nice quiet street, parking at door

Location excellent
By JS on 21-Apr-2025Weavers Rest is conveniently situated in Skipton town centre yet also in a quiet area. Literally a minutes walk to various amenities. Left the car parked in the allotted safe space by the apartment. Has a choice of walks right from the doorstep. Accommodation very comfortable, clean and well equipped. Excellent base for exploring this area in the dales. Thank you to host Julie who checked if we'd settled in ok and to contact her if any questions. Wouldn't hesitate to return.
Great base for a holiday!
By Anne Crossley on 06-Apr-2025Weavers Rest is a beautiful ground floor apartment a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Skipton. It is a really quiet location with easy access to private off road parking right outside the property. We found it extremely clean and well presented including a well equipped kitchen. The hosts Julie and Vince are really friendly and helpful. There is a big supermarket for shopping a few minutes away by car. Skipton is a great town with plenty of places to eat out and canal boat trips on offer starting from the town. If you like walks you are spoilt for choice. We enjoyed Skipton Castle Woods (walking distance from the apartment) and Ingleton Waterfall Trail just over half an hour by car. Would really recommend this as a great base for a holiday!
