Oakhampton Park was a fantastic place for our family of 28, including 14 grandchildren, to spend a week. The property was everything we could have wanted. The children particularly enjoyed the swimming pool which was lovely (the water was just the right temperature). The gardens were also greatly appreciated and beautifully kept. All in all, a superb location for large family reunion.

We had a fantastic time, the location is wonderful as are the facilities. Jim is a great host and was very helpful, we would certainly return. If you are looking for a beautiful location to spend time with your friends and family, l would highly recommend this venue.
A beautiful family home that comes alive when filled with loved ones.

Warm, welcoming home that’s larger than the photos give credit. The owner, Jim was very helpful. There was space for all the family to come together and also have their own space for quite time whenever they fancied. The pool was an amazing success and the surrounding countryside was stunning. Thank you so much.

We booked the house for my Grandmas 80th birthday weekend. We were a large group of 28 adults and teenagers and the house was perfect!!
The owners were lovely, prompt at responding to enquiries and Jim called me a few days before our arrival to give me details and check to see if I had any queries at all.
Overall the weekend was perfect we spent most of our time in the swimming pool and eating outdoors, enjoying the gardens and surrounding grounds.
I would highly recommend this property for any occasion and we would all love to stay again.
Wonderful place with great views

17 of us (13 adults, 4 kids) stayed at Oakhampton Park for a week, and had a great time - definitely thinking of going back in the future. The overall ambience of the place is very personal, with family photos and knick-knacks adorning the walls.
The swimming pool was much appreciated by the kids, and the sauna was much more spacious than most. Other highlights for us were:
- Views down the valley to Wivelsicombe from the front (perfect for a G&T in the evening, or breakfast coffee)
- The most effective dishwasher I have ever encountered at a rental property.
- Enough fridges! (And sufficient kitchen surfaces for self-catering)
- We'd also recommend Exmoor Ales in Wivelsicombe - they can supply polypins of local ale to keep on tap.
- Jim was always available sort any problems out or answer questions.
- The croquet set needs updating (only three balls usable)

We had a absolutely lovely stay at this great house. We had intentions to go out and about, but didn't end up leaving the grounds at all, because we wanted to make the most of the beautiful surroundings. The pool is big, warm and clean, with a very good sauna. There is so much to do at the house, loads of games to play, interesting little places to hang out in the house and garden and a beautiful walk to the lake within the grounds. The house is very interesting and seems to go on forever. Although the owners were next door they did not bother us at all and were helpful if we needed them. Would definitely go back again, we all absolutely loved it.
