Our apartment is cleaned by a professional housekeeping company whose staff have been trained to carry out exacting cleaning and disinfecting protocols in order to minimise cross infection. This training includes Covid-19 risk management.

Porthminster Apartments is at the top of Porthminster Terrace, on the east side of St Ives, which means you don't have to negotiate the narrow streets of the town to get in and out, nor are you affected by the vehicle-free zone in the centre of town, which St Ives Council is proposing during the CoVid19 situation. The apartment is situated on the ground-floor of a recently converted end-of-terrace Victorian house with a dedicated private parking space, which is easily accessed, right outside the apartment. South-facing and sunny with a lovely sea view from the front garden and from the side bay window of the sitting room, the apartment is light and spacious, tastefully furnished and equipped to a high standard.

It has 2 twin bedrooms (with comfortable beds). Both bathrooms have modern, luxury fittings: one bedroom has an en-suite bath with shower over, WC & washbasin and an attractive courtyard leads from this bedroom. A separate large shower-room, washbasin & WC is next to the second bedroom which is quite separately located in the apartment. This provides considerable privacy - ideal for 2 couples or a couple with children.

A well fitted and equipped, open-plan kitchen leads from the spacious sitting/dining room where you have attractive, comfortable seating, plus a lovely coastal view from the side bay window.

Facilities include: free wi-fi, gas central heating/instant hot water, heated towel rails; duvets, clean fresh bedding and towels (1 x bath sheet + 1 x hand towel per person) are supplied and the beds are made up; washer/dryer, Bosch electric fan oven, gas hob with extractor, microwave, freestanding fridge/freezer, dishwasher; double glazed throughout, flat screen digital TV in sitting room (Free-view included), DVD player.
Outside there is a front garden for guests' sole use and this also enjoys the fine sea view, plus there's a separate westerly facing courtyard for visitors' sole use with a dining set to seat 4 people. The front garden enjoys a southerly aspect and the courtyard is west-facing - ideal for evening dining! The location is quiet and we ask visitors not to party or play loud music.

It's a short, 5-minute stroll to Porthminster beach, St Ives' bustling centre, harbour, galleries, restaurants and shops but please note: St Ives is hilly and the apartment is situated on a short but fairly steep terrace. The walk to and from the beach and the town also involves some steps.

Perfect Haven in St Ives

Beautiful property, exceeding our expectations. Plenty of room, very comfortable and well equipped. Beds were extremely comfortable as was the lounge area. Tastefully decorated and all the appliances you would need. The town is stunningly beautiful. We hope to come back to St Ives one day and would look to stay in this accommodation again. The owner was great - clear and helpful.

Great Apartment, Great Location

The apartment was very clean, comfortable, light and well-equipped. The lounge was very comfortable with a great view of the sea from the front window and the kitchen had every appliance including a dishwasher. The outdoor courtyard was a great place to relax in the sunshine from midday through to the early evening. The Wi-fi was reliable and a decent download speed for watching SkyGo etc. The apartment is in a very quiet area with no traffic noise other than people coming and going from their houses. Porthminster beach was a 5 minute walk away and the centre of St Ives only 10 minutes away. The main surfing beach at Porthmeor was a 15 minute stroll. It is downhill into the town and uphill back but you can’t go far in St Ives without finding a hill. We had a great week in a lovely apartment in a fantastic Cornish Town - plenty of beach time, bodyboarding, crabbing in the harbour, cream teas and rattler cider. Lauran provided a wealth of useful information both before the holiday and during it through the little notes in the apartment. I can thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Super location away from hustle and bustle, but still only a short walk away from centre of St Ives (steep walk back uphill but we didn't find it a problem)

The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay with some lovely homely touches.

Would definitely stay there again.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this apartment.
The apartment is clean, comfortable, very well equipped, and is convenient for the centre of St Ives. The dedicated car parking right next to the apartment is an additional bonus.
Whilst there was only the two of us, four people could comfortably stay in this apartment.

Really great apartment near Porthminster beach

The apartment was a very good size complete with everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We particularly loved the location as it meant you could get away from the crowds in St.Ives town centre and chill out with an late afternoon snifter in the courtyard patio at the side of the apartment. Parking in St.Ives for daytrippers is a nightmare so we were delighted with our large allocated parking space right next to the building. We loved walking down to Porthminster Beach and sampling the delights of the beach bar here. We also loved the fact that the area was so quiet, just perfect for a relaxing holiday. The owner left us a really helpful list in case we got into trouble or had any problems, her attention to detail was superb.

Thank you again for a lovely stay, and hope to return soon.

Splendid Apartment in St Ives

We had a wonderful family holiday in St. Ives and liked the apartment very much! It is very beautiful and well-equipped with a nice seaview, a lovely sitting room, a well-equipped kitchen, two nice and airy bedrooms and two spacious bathrooms, a courtyard with chairs and table and a front garden, a splendid parking space and a great location, which is very quiet and still close to the vivid town centre! It is a few minutes walk into town and to the beach, which is uphill on the way back, due to the location of St. Ives. The apartment is very clean and the owner very helpful. We would love to return to this apartment!

Great Holiday Apartment

This great holiday apartment exceeded our expectations, it was very well equipped with all the modern appliances and fixtures. The rooms had high ceilings which gave you a feeling of more space and made it cooler on the hot days. The parking space adjacent to apartment was very important to us, but if you travel by train the station is only ten minutes walk away.

Beautiful Property

We spent a beautiful week in this property and cannot praise it enough - there was nothing that hadn't been thought of. The property is in a lovely peaceful position at the top of a road with it's own parking space. We were fortunate enough to be able to use the courtyard outside of the property which was definitely an added bonus. The bedrooms are nicely separated so give privacy and the main living area is spacious, clean, bright and airy. We will definitely be returning again!

A very convienent apartment with the benefit of car parking space. Everything you want in the apartment - great shower !! Happy to recommend it also nice and quiet in the evening steep walk uphill from the town but most places in St,Ives are in any event the same.

Great Holiday Apartment

This apartment is lovely, comfortable and was spotlessly clean, The open plan living room / kitchen is excellent and each bedroom having its own bathroom was a great help for a busy family getting ready in the morning. The parking space is just outside and there is a small outdoor area to enjoy. It is very quiet at night too. There a few beaches within about 10 minutes walk and the town itself is a perfect distance away by foot, about five to ten minutes. We had a delicious meal at the Seafood Cafe, getting a table was actually possible but booking would have been best, all the restaurants were packed while we were there. Would we return? Absolutely!

The apartment is excellent, spotlessly clean and a definite home from home. Has everything you can possibly need, it's a great size and the beds are extremely comfortable.

Ideally situated for the town and Porthminster beach, which is beautiful.

Smart, modern apartment with ex spec

Great position above Porthminster Bay, as with most of St Ives you get plenty of exercise getting to and from the beaches. A quiet area with easy access and car parking. The apartment which is ground floor within a large Edwardian end terrace has been completely modernised and everything is finished to a very good specification. Comfortable, very clean and nothing to worry about.

Would certainly like to stay again.

Home from Home in a Fantastic Location

We've just got back from a fantastic week staying in this lovely apartment, me, my husband, 5 year old and 10 month baby. The apartment had everything we needed and being on the ground floor made it easy to get in and out with the pushchair. The apartment is lovely and light and had everything we needed, the washer/ dryer was very handy with two small children. The location was perfect just a few minutes from the beautiful Porthminister beach and a 10 minute (if that stroll) in to central St Ives and all the cafes, shops and restaurants. We hardly needed to use the car which was great. Highly recommend it, we will definitely visit again.

We really enjoyed our stay for a week in St Ives. It was great to be able to walk into town and have a car parking space. The town is lovely with lots to look at including great art and craft galleries. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything you needed. We will definitely be back!

Great property, great location with parking

The location of this property is fantastic and really is a five minute walk to the beaches or center of st Ives. The property is easily found by car and having a parking space outside the property was a real Bonus in St Ives. The property is very bright and clean with everything needed for self catering but having said that, there are so many different types of eating establishments for all budgets we ate out every night. We would like to thank Lauren for her prompt and great customer service. Would definitely recommend this property. For eating out try the St Andrews Bistro( booking advisable) and the Curry Garden, both served great food. Try the train ride to St Erth (£4.00 for day ticket) as the scenery is fantastic. Thank you Lauren so much for a fantastic stay.

The apartment is in a wonderful location, so easy to find & makes getting in & out of st Ives by car very easy. Very close to the gorgeous beaches & the centre of st Ives, we had some fabulous walks from here

Fantastic Apartment

As soon as we walked into the apartment we felt at home !! Everything you need for a family holiday. Could not believe how big it was. 2 nice size bedrooms and each one had an on suit which is perfect when you have a family of 4. Nice big lounge to relax in the evening as well. Fantastic location about 10 mins walk from the beach, it was a lovely walk each night to walk off the lovely food we had in St Ives. Car park space is a major plus point as you can park directly outside the apartment. We loved it so much we have booked for same time next year. Would defiantly recommend this to anyone staying in St Ives

This has to be the best accommodation we have found here; ideal for our needs and perfect in every way! This was one of the nicest Apartments we have ever stayed in. It was furnished and decorated very tastefully and to to a very high standard - and most importantly - going in November it was always warm and comfortable. We couldn't think of anything that the Kitchen didn't have. It was so good to have 2 Bathrooms as well as 2 Bedrooms which makes it perfect if more than 2 people are staying. It is set in a very quiet location only 5 minutes walk(downhill) to the Harbour but having the parking is a real bonus. We had a fantastic holiday here and very much hope we can return again one day soon. Many Thanks Lauran.

This apartment is excellent. Very clean & well maintained. All rooms were great with high quality furnishings & fixtures & fittings. A real home from home with everything you need to feel comfortable. In a great spot - a couple of minutes stroll down the hill and you are in the quaint town centre. Parking space at the rear is a god-send as the town is extremely busy. I would unreservedly recommend this apartment to others & have already done so. Lauran the owner was excellent with her prompt email communications and ensures that you have all the information you need eg wifi code, bin days etc and she has been lovely & friendly and efficient throughout

We had a lovely two week stay in this apartment. As others have said, it is perfectly located enabling you to walk to the beach and the centre of St Ives. There is plenty of space for 4 and we liked the fact that the 2 bedrooms and bathrooms were not on top of each other. Beautifully decorated with all of the required amenities/equipment. Parking space is invaluable. We will be back!

Perfectly located. An easy walk to beautiful Porthminster Beach. Lots of space in the flat. Very useful outdoor space for storing sandy spades etc. Invaluable parking space.

This was the fourth year we spent a week in August in St Ives and the second year in this flat - we would very happily return again to the same accommodation as it suits us perfectly.
