Description
Kev and Tori welcome you to Trerice Holiday Barns, where we aim to provide a home from home experience for our guests. Set in beautiful rural surroundings in North Cornwall but only 4 miles from the hustle and bustle of Newquay and all of the fabulous North Cornwall beaches including Fistral, Holywell and Crantock. We are only a couple of miles from the A30 making us ideally situated to make the most of all that this fantastic county has to offer.1.5 miles to our local village of St Newlyn East with a lovely local pub, butcher and deli and village shop.
The Hayloft is a 2 bedroom (one king and one twin), detached, dog friendly, two storey barn conversion. On the ground floor there are the two bedrooms and a bathroom whilst on the first floor, making the most of the amazing rural views, there is a large open plan living/kitchen/dining room with a vaulted ceiling and traditional beams. This is fully equipped with a 40" Smart TV, Digital radio/CD player and docking station as well as a large collection of books (adults and children) and board games as well as a woodburner for cosy, winter evenings. You and/or your pooches are bound to appreciate this after a day spent walking on the numerous dog friendly beaches, the South West coast path or the lovely woodland walks in the area.
The kitchen/dining room is fully equipped with everything you could need including a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, electric induction hob and an extendable dining table.
All of the beds are made with 100% cotton bedding and large, fluffy towels are provided for each guest.
The luxury bathroom has a walk in shower with rainfall shower as well as a separate bath for a relaxing soak!
There are stripped wooden floors throughout the property that are easy to keep clean after sandy beach visits!
The Hayloft is fully centrally heated making it great for winter breaks when Cornwall is at its rugged best. You have control of the central heating so you are not beholden to an owner's schedule!
Fast wifi throughout the property.
Cot (bedding not provided), high chair and stair gate are available at no extra cost.
Outside there is a private, enclosed patio area with table, chairs and a parasol. This area is perfect for BBQs (BBQ provided) and looks out onto the large garden (shared with two other properties) with swings, outside seating and garden games. There is also a large shed containing beach equipment for guests to borrow (bodyboards, windbreaks, mallets, buckets and spades). The shed is secure and can be used to store surfboards, bicycles, kayaks etc.
There is a parking space allocated for The Hayloft.
Short breaks are available outside of the peak season with flexible arrival days. Changeover day is Friday in peak summer months and the minimum stay is 7 nights.
All linens, bath and hand towels are provided at no extra cost. You only need to bring beach towels.
Central heating and electricity costs are all included in the price.
Non smoking.
Up to 2 dogs are welcome at no extra cost. Please get in touch if you have more dogs as we are often able to accommodate this. We just like to make sure your whole group will be comfortable in the space.
Deposit payable on booking is 1/3 and the balance is due 8 weeks prior to your arrival date.

What a gem
By Emrah on 03-Apr-2026What a lovely gem, very happy our dates matched the available dates. Green peaceful surroundings. Space for the kids and dog in the garden. Super clean house. Very comfortable beds and furniture. Great bedding. Powerful shower. Always on demand hot water and heating. Well equipped kitchen and all the extras like fresh milk, cookies and dog treats. Easy to find with Google Maps. Tori's welcome folder had tons of recommendations and tips. One of the best rental houses we've been to. If available, don't think twice.
Just wow!
By Meg on 07-Apr-2026Just wow! Better than the pictures! What a warm, cosy, quiet self catering house. We've enjoyed every moment of our stay. The kitchen is well equipped, the living space is cosy, the beds are comfy and the bathroom shower is insane! Well situated within driving range of many beautiful places to explore. The kids loved the beaches and climbing the rocks. We will be back! Tori & Kev have everything sorted! Their pack is so helpful with local restaurants and places to go. At hand with any questions we had. They are GREAT. Thank you for having us!!
We've just come home from the most magical stay in The Hayloft

From the first time I made contact with Tori & Kev to locking the door to come home, everything was perfect. The Hayloft was immaculate; everything you need for your stay and more has been thought of. Tori & Kev were on hand if we needed them. Loads of useful information and recommendations were found in the info folder. Our dogs were made to feel very welcome; they even had their own welcome biscuits, blankets and towels. Our own welcome cookies were delicious too! The barns are perfectly situated to access Newquay, Crantock and the other areas of Cornwall. We travelled to explore new beaches but we always come back to our favourites - Crantock, Polly Joke and Whipsiderry beaches which are a really short drive away. Thank you Tori & Kev…we will see you next year (we’ve already re-booked two stays!). We can’t wait to come back.
100% perfect in every way
By Tracey on 30-Oct-2025What more can I say other than 100% perfect in every way. Tori and Kev were wonderfully accommodating and couldn't have done more to check we had everything we could need. Having said that,The Hayloft was so well equipped, there was nothing more we could have needed. I didn't want to leave this morning and can't wait to return at Easter.
Lovely place!
By Michael Banks on 25-Sep-2024Lovely place! Far enough away from the hustle and bustle to be nice and quiet, but close enough to get around and be in the thick of it. Our 2nd visit and again they didn't disappoint. Lovely cottages that are well maintained, along with the grounds. Nice big garden for the kids and dog. Will definitely be back.

We also loved all the extra special touches such as the vase of daffodils, the delicious chocolate chip shortbread (they didn''t last long!) and the homemade dog treats (they also didn''t last long).
