Description

“Number 18” is some five minutes from both the gorgeous beach at Sheps Hollow, and the path up to Ballard Down (thence Old Harry Rocks and Studland), and offers peace and privacy in its sunny garden. It is about 15 minutes walk along the Town Beach into Town. All the attractions of the Purbeck area and Poole (via the chain ferry) are nearby, and there is easy driveway parking for two cars.

Quietly situated, Number 18 has a spacious kitchen with social spaces, for tumbling onto the deck via the French Doors. There is an adjacent dining room if in more formal mood, accessing the patio. Airy in summer, yet cosy when chilly, the additional lounge offers a wonderful log burner.

We accommodate 6/7 people:
- The master bedroom with a king bed and en suite shower room;
- A twin room, and a double room upstairs (with upstairs WC and bath);
- Plus a double sofa bed in the lounge;
- A third family bathroom downstairs.

It is ideal for a family of up to six, or seven with an older child on the sofa bed (note that the log burner is unguarded and common sense applies). If you would like to bring a dog, please get in touch to discuss.

If someone needs to stay productive there is a lovely light work space upstairs, with a sit / stand desk, and good wifi.

If staying for 10 days or more, laundry facilities are available on special request.

Think “home from home” with a green outlook, and you have the idea of what it is like to stay here! We will welcome you with a complimentary "phew we made it" bottle of French fizz, and a few supplies.

Note that we provide bedding, but please bring your own towels. And Number 18 is strictly non-smoking!!

We offer changeover on a Friday or Monday, and you are welcome to book for a weekend (arrive Friday depart Monday) or mid-week (arrive Monday depart Friday), or combinations thereof. Please get in touch to confirm pricing or ask any questions. Note our discount offered for a 2 week stay or longer (on the weekly price)!!

A deposit of 25% secures the booking, with the balance being paid 4 weeks before arrival please.
