Awarded Aspire Magazine's "Hidden Gem of Dorset 2016", Nestleton is a beautiful 3 double bedroom (plus cot bed and travel cot) maisonette occupying the top two floors of a Victorian house, with sea views, balcony, open fire and courtyard garden. It has a downstairs bathroom with overhead rain shower and an upstairs cloakroom. The sun streams onto the balcony and front of the house in the morning, perfect for an al fresco breakfast, and streams into the back of the property in the evening.
The maisonette has its own entrance and is accessed via a side staircase. Great care and attention has been given to furnishing the maisonette in a beautiful romantic French style and it is only a 5 minute stroll into Swanage town with its many cafes and restaurants, restored Victorian pier, steam railway and long sandy beach - great for children. It is also a great place for water-sport lovers, and has a scuba diving school by the pier. Durlston country park and castle is only a 15 minute walk away and the property location will therefore also suit walkers who wish to explore the Jurassic coastline and this area of outstanding natural beauty. Corfe Castle, Studland Bay, Poole Harbour, Brownsea Island and Blue Pool to name just a few, are all in close proximity to Swanage. Children and pets are very welcome! Beautiful spacious apartment with everything we needed
By Anna H on 16-Feb-2019
We loved our stay at Nestleton, it is beautifully decorated and feels very warm, welcoming and homely. It had everything we needed and we appreciated having a few essentials being provided. Great location for a short stroll into Swanage and lots of great coastal walks. Would highly recommend.

We had such a lovely time at Moira's place. A beautiful, clean home from home in a perfect location for exploring the area. The place has everything you need with the bonus of attention to detail and stunning decor. We especially loved that our dog was welcome and we could have our morning coffee on the scenic balcony. Communication prior to and during our stay was faultless. We highly recommend coming here and can't wait for our next visit! Thank you Moira

Quaint seaside town getaway
By Samantha K on 31-Aug-2018
We were blessed with perfect summer weather as a bonus, but this house had everything to please three generations from 25 to 82! Comfy beds, stunning views, beautifully decorated, well fitted out kitchen, good WiFi, coastal walks right from the door.... what more could we ask for? There are plenty of places to eat out, to potter around or benches to just watch the world go by in Swanage, it’s lovely. I definitely recommend taking a bottle of wine to the park up the hill to watch the sun go down over Swanage Bay.... a short and only slightly strenuous stroll but worth the effort! Definitely somewhere we would love to return.... and not least if the long hot summer continues, there are fans in every bedroom. Big thumbs up!
A fantastic property in a stunning location. Minutes from the beach and a great base to explore.
By Graham F on 28-Aug-2018
Our stay here was perfect. The property is just lovely with a great lounge and main bedroom and lovely rooms for the kids. We loved the serenity of the house. Just a few minutes walk from Swanage front the location was perfect. We loved the roof top fish bar on Swanage front. A great location to explore the area and then return to Nestleton to chill. Loved it

Lovely relaxing holiday in a beautiful house
By Debra B on 22-Jun-2018
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nestleton in this beautiful maisonette. The balcony was a lovely bonus in the morning and luckily for us the weather was good most days so I could have tea and breakfast out there. The house is very dog friendly and well equipped with everything you could ever need. Swanage is a lovely seaside town and we will definitely be back.
Wonderful picturesque cottage!
By Carly M on 22-May-2018
We stayed in Dorset for a chilled out few yoga retreat days and I cannot think of anywhere more perfect to come back to at the end of the day. The beds were so comfortable that we had a great sleep and the blossoming clematis over the balcony with its amazing scent just made our escape more blissful! We saw many people take photos of it as this house stands out from the crowd, particularly with the flowers draping from the balcony.
The sea view from our bedroom and balcony were lovely, where we enjoyed an evening glass of wine while watching the world go by. This property has everything you could need for a break and although close to the bustling town and beach it is just far enough away for some tranquility. Highly recommended.

Amazing property, great location and views
By Brian M on 25-Apr-2018
This property is really beautiful. All the rooms have lovely decoration, the beds are super comfy and the property is well equipped with all the essentials and more; especially the kitchen.
There are lovely little touched everywhere which makes you feel so welcomed and cared for.
The location is fantastic as are the views from the balcony and the master bedroom where you can appreciate it the most. Just a short walk down the hill and you are in the centre of town and then the beach. There is no off street parking, however we had no problems parking near the maisonette, where the car stayed during our break as we could walk everywhere! We love Swanage and all enjoyed our stay very much, including the dog and we did not want to leave. We are already planning our next stay, and are looking forward to more drinks on the balcony!

We had a wonderful time at Nestleton and communication with Moira was fast and easy. Everything about the property was perfect and decorated as beautiful as the photos, if not more! Our lovely welcome gift was a nice touch and the accommodation was really a home from home, even the kitchen included absolutely all utilities a kitchen should have! We look forward to our next stay and cannot recommend Nestleton enough!

We had a lovely short weekend away on a very cold December weekend. The house was clean and very well set up for young children and in a great location. Beds very comfy too.
We had a wonderful day at Corfe Castle and Studland Bay and there were so many other places we could have visited time (and weather!) permitting.
Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful Apartment with a view
By Al P on 19-Oct-2017
Very stylish , comfortable apartment with amazing attention to detail in every room. The sea views from the top bedroom and balcony are an added bonus. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed a sundowner on the balcony most evenings. Can't believe how convenient the apartment is to the lovely High Street , beach and train station . We took the steam train to Corfe Castle with our little dog and recommend it as a fab day out. The apartment was very well equipped
( thank you very much for the wine and cookies ) and very clean . All in all a perfect getaway location

Fantastic property in a lovely plce
By Kirsten L on 20-Jun-2017
We stayed at Nestleton for a week and wished we had booked two! The house is beautiful, plenty of room and everything you need. We have a toddler and high chair, cot bed and stair gates were all available which were greatly appreciated. By the end of the week we had got used to the hill but to be honest, it isn't that bad, the house is nearer the bottom than the top! Plus without the hill there wouldn't be such beautiful views from the balcony! The only downside is the lack of off street parking, it can be difficult to find a spot close by which we found a struggle at times with a disabled toddler. Swanage and the surrounding area and beautiful and if you get the weather (luckily we did!) there isn't a nicer place to holiday. The communication from Moira was excellent and appreciated. We hope to visit again, thank you :-)

The property is absolutely stunning, we loved it from the first moment we saw it. But not only this - it is clean, really well equipped and we even had a bottle of milk and bottle of wine on arrival waiting for us. Our stay felt like home as it was so comfortable. The owners were lovely - great communication throughout the booking process and afterwards, it made us feel very welcome and looked after. Absolutely fantastic stay and we look forward to returning soon!

Lovely stay in a beautiful home away from home
By Emily C on 28-Apr-2017
I had a fantastic stay in this beautiful property! The decoration was wonderful and the house clean and very generously equipped (lots of pots, pans, toiletries and little touches throughout the home). The view from the master bedroom and balcony over Swanage bay really set the scene.
The property is perfectly situated just a few minutes walk to the town and beach yet inside the proper it is quiet and the balcony was perfect for the morning sun and breakfast amoungst the amazing flowering clematis.
This is not a 'run of the mill' rental - it is so nice to know that properties like this exists with such easy booking, good communication with Moira and where it is really evident that the owners care about their guests' stay. Thank you Moira and Brian! Highly recommended.
Great Character and Location
By Carl F on 16-Mar-2017
The property was in a great spot with only a short walk downhill to the sea and the high street, the bay view out of the front bedroom is nothing short of stunning.
The house is decorated in a quirky but stylish manner that is very fitting for both the house and Swanage.
We would definitely stay again, the booking process was straight forward and everyone had a fantastic time, even the dogs.
Highly recommend it!

Nestleton is centrally located, restaurants and shops are only a short walk away, so is the beach front. The apartment is beautifully decorated, very comfortable and most generously equipped, it made our visit to Swanage picture perfect!
Location location location with a wow factor interior
By Ally P on 10-May-2016
This place is just so special. It immediately gives you a warm hug as soon as you walk through the door. The high ceilings and beautiful period features just remind you constantly that you are somewhere really luxurious. A place to rewind and unwind with everything at your finger tips. The owners have really thought of everything. The place is called nestleton and it is quite literally nestled in interesting items of furniture to interesting books and board games. I won'the write too much more as it's nice for people to get excited about a stay away with nice surprises. This place is full of them. Romantic. Luxurious. Homely. I was very pleased with myself for discovering this gem.
