On arrival the cottage was spotless and easy to find following Judith's instructions .Neighvours were friendly and good for local advice . The cottage has everything you want and stunning views across Bantham and Burgh Island . Would recommend the sloop in for a meal out . All and all we had a great week with superb weather as a bonus
Peacehaven is a cute little bungalow in an elevated position, with two bedrooms, simply but beautifully furnished. Amazing coastal views and a fabulous garden, with a dining area and inbuilt bbq where you can watch the sunset. The sitting room is comfortable and has a smart TV, and a wood burner if you like to make it cosy. The kitchen is well equipped / open plan and shares the wonderful views of the garden. The bedrooms are also comfortable, especially the master bedroom. There is only one small shower room which is a little dated but it's functional and does the job. The location in Thurlstone is wonderful. You can walk to the Village Inn and the local beaches and it's an easy drive to Bantham Beach. You can shop for amenities in nearby Kingsbridge. The owner's photos really do capture this wonderful property so if you like the look of it, you won't be disappointed. Thank you for a lovely stay!
Fantastic views and very comfortable well equipped. Excellent relaxing stay.
The best holiday house, we have ever had - Peacehaven!
Left on Aug 6, 2019 for a stay in Jul 2019
Thanks for a wonderful stay in „Peacehaven“! We enjoyed the nice weather and the wonderful landscape. The holiday house was the best we have ever stayed in – like a home from home. The view from the garden and the lounge (even from the shower when the window is open) was breathtaking and we experienced a lot of lovely sunsets. The siting place in the garden is well-chosen! My husband was enthusiastic about the perfect jogging tour with sea view in the mornings and our son praised the good Wi-Fi and TV. The kitchen is, just as the rest of the house, very well equipped (we have never had such sharp knives before!) and the lovely decoration in every room makes the house very cosy! Moreover it was very clean when we arrived. We liked the numerous walks on the South West Coast Path. Thank you for all the information, books and maps of the environment. We loved the beaches, the nice little towns and villages (Salcombe, Kingsbridge, Dartmouth, Hope Cove…) . Our dog’s favourite trip was the one to the Dartmoor National Park with a visit of the Becky Falls. Our neighbours were very friendly. The supermarket in Thurlestone is very well-assorted. The narrow roads were always an adventure, but we know them from our Cornwall holidays last year. The communication with y Judy was always perfect. She was very helpful and understanding in every situation. We love to come back some time in the future.

A beautiful holiday cottage with stunning views of the coastline and Burgh Island . The cottage is well equipped and comfortable and tastefully decorated . The Village has a very good restaurant and post office and overall is a good base to visit the surrounding area's . A lot of the beaches allow dogs , the property is accessed via country lanes, and has private parking . We would definitely stay again , booking through Simply Owners was perfect .Thank you .
All good, A fantastic place
A really well equipped and located house to enjoy some of the best stretches of the English coast from.
Absolutely wonderful bungalow that is furnished to a high standard and is very cosy. It has the most picturesque views from the living area, even at the end of November when the weather can be drizzly and misty. Highly recommend.
Well appointed, fantastic view and a great location. Had everything we needed.
Everything you can think of, has already been thought of in this fabulous place. It truly is a home from home which makes for such a comfortable and welcoming stay. The standard of everything is just superb. Waking up every morning to the glorious views was such a treat. Lovely walks in the local area and pretty towns and villages to visit make it an ideal spot. We certainly hope to return in the future. Thank you so much.
My Response
We have been renting holiday accommodation for the last 20 yrs and we can honestly say this was the best we have stayed in. The only downside was the distance from the garage to the bungalow.
A wonderful property with everything needed to make a perfect break. Comfortable, clean and quality crockery, bedding, glassware, cutlery and utensils. Lots of little touches and I loved the lights in the bottles. The garden and seating was lovely, on the bench in the shade and also at the table overlooking the most amazing view. The sunsets were fabulous too and we were very lucky with the weather. A perfect spot for exploring the surrounding area. Walking to Hope Cove and to Bantham on the coast path is stunning as is the Hope and Anchor in Hope and the Village stores cafe in Bantham overlooking the river, Many thanks Judy for our break in Peacehaven
The bungalow is very well appointed ,with fantastic views out towards Bantham/Burgh Island. It is within walking distance of several beaches and ideally placed to visit the many attractions in the South Hams. Highly recommended !!!!!

Second visit. I had forgotten the level of attention to details the property has. Did remember how comfortable the bed was and luxurious the bed linen felt! The views are the best therapy anyone can have. Thank you Judy, you’re efforts are appreciated
We had a really comfortable stay here. The bungalow was very well equipped. The view is even better than it looks in the pictures. The village is beautiful, the local pub just a short stroll away and serves fantastic food or The Sloop Inn is about a 20 minute walk across the fields though it's steep on the way back. I would not hesitate to recommend this property.

Peacehaven lives up to its name, a beautiful bungalow set in one of the most picturesque and tranquil villages in Devon. We were so impressed with all the bungalow's gorgeous accessorised furnishings. An absolutely immaculate property with every thinkable item catered for to make your stay perfect. Stunning views which were equally as beautiful in all weather, we were so fortunate to see it in all its glory from "wall to wall" sunshine to being shrouded in sea mist and on the last night an hour display of lightening over the hills, amazing to watch, not to forget its crowning glory every night when the sun went down. The Village Inn pub is so welcoming with excellent quality and good value food. There are many walks to suit all ability, fantastic beaches that were dog friendly too, managed to get our 9 year old beagle to take her first paddle ever. So impressed with our holiday the first email I sent when I got back home was to enquire about a booking for next year. Thank you so much Mrs Sullivan for sharing this with us.

We thoroughly enjoyed a two week holiday at Peacehaven with our two dogs. The Bungalow is spotlessly clean, well equipped, comfortable, very tastefully furnished and decorated. Judy has obviously put a lot of love and care into creating such a lovely holiday home. The view from the bungalow and garden is spectacular and thanks to all the local information provided by Judy we were able to enjoy many great coastal walks and trips to the various beaches around Thurlestone and Bantham. We certainly hope to return again.

Spectacular views from the house and the garden, across the estuary and over to Burgh Island. The House was beautifully presented, had everything we needed and more and was very clean and very comfortable. We were able to store our bikes safely in the garage and the area is so safe that the boards sat on the car roof rack all week.We paddleboarded, canoed, cycled and walked - for miles. Perfect location in lovely Thurlstone. Great food in the Village Inn and an invigorating walk over the field to Bantham where there was plenty of parking with access to the quay for launching and the beach. The sloop in Bantham is worth a visit too. Great coffee shop over looking the estuary , in the Post office! The owner was more than helpful and on the end of an e mail for any queries we might have had. What a great find - i would recommend this house to anyone!

Wonderful comfortable accomodation. Judy certainly goes the extra mile to provide great comfort and relaxation.
The property is in a great location within walking distance of Bantham, Thurlestone and South Milton beaches. The views from the garden towards Burgh Island are fantastic. We travelled with our two children and our dog, the house is quite small but never felt crowded. We loved how the owners had decorated, a real modern seaside feel. We stayed at the end of October so the wood burner was lovely in the evenings. The house is very well equipped the owners have been very thoughtful about providing a home from home. Would definitely recommend Peacehaven.
Our short break at Peacehaven did not disappoint. The property is extremely well equipped and was spotlessly clean. The views from the patio windows and the back garden are spectacular over Bantham and Burgh Island. The South Hams area provides a wide variety of quality walking routes and there is little need to drive too far once you have arrived in Thurlestone. The property has an excellently equipped kitchen, so eating in is not a problem, though it is necessary to travel to Kingsbridge for a proper food shop. The local pub provides a good choice of food and is within easy walking distance. A ten minute drive gets you to Kingsbridge which has a wide variety of restaurants to choose from. All in all we were very pleased with our four night stay and the weather was dry and mostly sunny. We will come back again sometime in the future and complete some more of the coastal path walks.
The owner has gone to exceptional lengths to provide a great accommodation and cater for everything needed to have a great holiday in Devon. The wife and I love the place.
We booked this holiday because of the amazing reviews previous visitors had written regarding the service, amazing views and location and we were not disappointed, our holiday was everything we wished for and more, Judy runs things very professionally and there is nothing that hasn't been thought of, even down to the gardens being maintained and our bed linen replaced during our two week stay, you certainly get the feeling Judy really cares about you having a wonderful holiday and we would love to return.
